I only ever played the second one on my modded ps3
For those of us who have both consoles ready to go, I guess it should go without saying, but as with most third-party releases of that generation, the Xbox 360 version is ever so slightly superior to the PlayStation 3 version.
Surprisingly, the difference isn't as noticeable as with other releases of that generation. This is probably due to the fact, neither Condemned game uses Unreal Engine 3 as its game engine, instead opting to use proprietary technology.
As far as glitches go, however, the PS3 version has some audio glitches and I have no idea if those were ever patched out.
I picked up signalis. I heard someone call it a vn which had me giving it a pass but I came to find out that whatever anon said that is a fricking moron.
>just watch a let’s play or something
Please stop echoing this unbelievably moronic piece of advice.
We're talking about video games, part of the experience (whether you like it or not) is playing the video game.
White Day: A Labyrinth named school, just got to the auditorium.
I should get back to Haunting Ground, I think I had advanced kinda far in my ps2, but the tv broke.
What kind of youtuber are you watching? As far as I know everyone agrees that while the atmosphere and story are good, the gameplay is trash and complete luck with certain enemies and bosses.
I can’t get Cry of Fear to work on my new hardware. It’s a constant mess of zoomed in visuals and crashing. Is there a mod or something that makes it play nice at higher resolutions?
Actually, I may just play the one you posted. I've seen it in a gaming magazine back when it was released and pretty much forgotten about it since then. Looked cool but I didn't have a PS2.
I see it sometimes on Ganker and have been thinking recently about checking it out.
Played the demo for Echoes of the Living.
Very shameless Resident Evil clone but it's honestly pretty competent. Some bugs/jank here and there but otherwise enjoyable.
Also played Lake Haven - Chrysalis. Supposed to be a prologue to the eventual full game. It's basically an adventure game but with classic survival horror controls, there's only one sequence of "combat" in the whole thing. Which is fine on paper, but none of the puzzles were complex and a lot of the item placement was nonsensical. Story has potential but is too obsessed with annoying fourth-wall breaking, it ends up coming off as gibberish because of how much it's obviously cribbing from Silent Hill 2 and Twin Peaks. There's one elaborate ("secret") reference to Silent Hill that is so overdone that it pissed me off. Still, I could see myself playing the full game if it's more developed. I liked the atmosphere.
In Sound Mind is dogshit. Only reason it has good reviews on Steam is because they gave out a ton of free copies and the first achievement you get in the game is a "GOTY 10/10" achievement where you pet a cat.
Signalis is mid and basically is just nothing but references to actual good games and movies.
Visage has an obnoxious sanity system and is pretty generic once the initial aping of PT runs its course.
EoZ is so silly, but so much fun as well.
For me, it felt cathartic after the events of the main game. Much more so than Chris' campaign.
Too bad most people didn't play it.
Resident evil 1-3
Cold Fear
Manhunt 1 & 2
Condemned
>Condemned
based
I should really get around to emulating the second one
Using a ps3 or 360 emulator? Did either one of those end up working out? I know the ps3 emulator receives updates.
I thought condemned 2 was 360 exclusive but realised it isnt. will give it a try on rpcs3

early ps3 ports always had issues because devs had a hard time optimizing it because the console was hard to work with at first

I heard it's like the original RE's so thats why i'm playing it after playing OG Nemesis. They weren't lying were they?
it's definitely inspired by the RE games in some ways, but it's also clearly inspired by several other things so don't expect 100 percent only RE.
Anyone recommend me any decent horror games to play?
it's been recommended a million times but, Cry of Fear is still one of my favorites.
i might replay it because i can't think of anything to play for october
Cold Fear
Obscure
Darkwood
Evil Within 1-2, especially 1 though and DLC
Alien Isolation
RE7
Popular but good titles
Should i play Rule of the Rose? Is it really as good as the gay youtubers make it sound?
No it’s absolute dog shit gameplay wise. If you’re intrigued by the story, just watch a let’s play or something.

Sure, but I heard gameplay is not the good part. Everything else that seems to be.

Boss fights are moronic, combat is moronic, the story makes no sense. Play evil resident for actually good content.
Song of Horror and Visage are on sale so I'm installing them tonight.
I really like Silent Hill 3 so I'll definitely replaying that one.
Y

Such a good videogame. Glad i got the best ending first try and sadly how the secret ending is tied to an ARG
Got any sexy horror recs?
Been playing sons of the forest, its spooky every now and then. I thought 1 was way scarier tho

You just know
I would if she was black
Is Visage any good?
So far RE4R, RE8, and RERev1. Hopefully I'll get around to the other games as well as FFIV and FFV and Tormented Souls.
Oh right, also played RE7's NaH and EoZ DLCs.
EoZ is so silly, but so much fun as well.
