It was like playing marbles, but mixed with yugioh, and pokemon, but I never got why the good guys fought the bad guys, so I just ignored the show.
Still, Makino Tomoyasu's Bakugan set will forever stay in my hardrive, next to his Dinosaur King's rape sets. Zoe Drake is just *muah!*
I didn't care for the show that much but I remember thinking the wind guy was pretty cool. I played it with friends IRL though and played the Wii game. Was pretty cool. I assume gen alpha kids will be having similar discussions about yokai watch in 10 years.
There's way more to talk about with YKW tbh, there's some tangible basis for their mons, it was a big cultural landmark in Japan, it made pokemon itself seethe. Bakugan was just marbles
Don't you remember Masquerade sending bakugan to the doom dimension? Don't you remember Alice being Masquerade? Don't you remember Marucho losing Preyas? Don't you remember Shuns mother dying of cancer?
Maybe I wad entering puberty, but when I saw bakugan I just felt "wtf is this everyone looks like ygo rip offs this sucks, nothing but gimmicks"

Fricking loved this series, watched most of the episodes as it aired then rewatched it all on YouTube with the eps cut up some years later. Shame to see it went to shit with the kiddie CGI reboot.

I loved it, the other seasons were decent but the OG crew was the best.
