Lol kingsfield was always better, all soulsborne is dogshit. I couldn't imagine being so moronic that the only games I care about are nu fromsoft
Ps3 had atelier and yakuza before the ports, some good cross plat miku and vanillaware games
Ps4 has dick all but witch and the hundred knight revival and endless multi plats, but it being so much stronger than the ps3 is a huge plus
They're loosely related, King's Field are a novelty of the technology of the time in terms of exploration, and its ability to make you lost because everything looks the same, but they don't have much depth beyond that.
PS3 and it's not remotely close. In terms of first party releases, any individual year from 2009 through to the end of its life was a better time to own a PlayStation than any year has been since.
Ps3 has many niche japanese games, PS4 has no games except gravity rush and bloodborne. The rest are 10/10 movieshit which was ported to pc and nobody plays them on steam
>back in the day PS3 was getting like 1/3rd as many releases as PS2 got >this was enough for it to get memed as having no games for the entire gen >PS4 had like 1/5th as many games as PS3 >PS5 has literally like 3 games and people legitimately use this as a plus in online discussions about it
i never understood the no games meme when ps3 did have a bunch of exclusives actually coming out, as opposed to ps4 getting everything swiftly ported to pc eventually during its lfetime.
outside of emulation you still can't play many ps3 exclusives on modern consoles like inFamous and Resistance.
>ps3
Pros
Actually more exclusives but we are talking about just a handful of titles. Since some games are stuck on it probably forever it still makes sense to own one because emulation still can be improved. I would argue it has a better library just be because it was my childhood console.
Free online.
Gen7 sovl, even if shit quality it's good for people who want to replay console only titles or gen7 that didn't get a remaster/remake.
Literally the best hacking capabilities.
Cons
It's actually retro now and prices on games show it, piracy is the only option (unless you collect funko pops and plastic boxes) because some titles can still be played online only with a hacked ps3 thanks to community servers and generally the best titles cost too much. A ps3 with few collectorgays games costs almost as much as a fat/pro ps4 unironocally.
>ps4
Pros
Actual moderm games with le grafixx (pro) and 30/60 generally more stable fps. Most gen7 games can be played here + literal thousands of games already out and future titles too, insane value. Games are cheap just as the console especially if looking for used.
Cons
I guess sooner there will be complete emulation but I don't really see the point with the PS5 having (free*) upgrades.
Paid online.
Modern sony.
*Terms and conditions apply
ps4 fell off hard near the end when they started censoring japanese games and lost japan support in general.
ps3 is still looked back on fondly and STILL has free online.
Easily the PS3.
I bought a PS4 pro, but when I moved out my dad said I could take either the PS3 or the PS4, but one of them he needed as a blu-ray player. I took the PS3 with zero deliberation and I still play it often. But mostly to play pic related.
A hacked PS3 is probably the best living room device you can get even today.
Aside from playing games from 3 different generations (plus a microscopic handful of PSP games) you can also get the official Netflix and YouTube app alongside homebrew apps like Movian which will cover media playback of any kind from any source.
Obtaining games has never been easier thanks to PKGi and the fact that Sony doesn't do any authentication when requesting a download from their CDN.
>Resistance trilogy, Uncharted trilogy, MotorStorm trilogy, Ratchet & Clank Future trilogy/Into the Nexus, LittleBigPlanet 1/2, InFamous 1/2, Demon's Souls, Killzone 2/3, God of War III, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5/6, Yakuza 3/4/5, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Heavenly Sword, Folklore, The Eye of Judgement, Valkyria Chronicles, Heavy Rain, Journey, Tokyo Jungle, Twisted Metal, Katamari Forever, Ni No Kumi, Tales of Xillia 1/2, Puppeteer, WarHawk, StarHawk, Ridge Hacer 7, Siren Blood Curse, White Knight Chronicles
PS3 exclusives
>Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy, The Last Guardian, Bloodborne, Spider-Man, The Last of Us Part II, Horizon Forbidden West/Zero Dawn, God of War, Ratchet & Clank remake, Ghost of Tsushima, Gran Turismo 7, Detroit Become Human, Astro Bot, Tearaway Unfolded
PS4 exclusives
PS3 actually had exclusives that only came to PC among other platforms years after the fact, PS4 had like 2-3 good games that weren't multiplatform at the time, nowadays it's just one fricking game.
Ps3 had a good amount of great games. Ps4 only had bloodborne. Granted, bloodborne is better than virtually any other console exclusive, but it's just one game. The ps4 is when snoy shit the bed. The ps3 is when the signs were showing up.
PS4 sold more.
I'd say PS3 in terms once it actually started getting games, it had some pretty good titles.
PS3 - no games
PS4 - 1 game
Go figure
demon souls is better than bloodborne
you forgot to attach the frog

PS3 era had more unique IPs that turned into successful franchises like Demon's Souls, Uncharted, Arkham Asylum, RDR.
>Arkham Asylum, RDR
I enjoyed playing those on my Xbox 360
No.
Ps2>ps1>ps3>ps4>ps5
>PS3 has GTA IV and GTAV
>PS4 doesn't have GTA IV
PS5 also doesn't have GTA IV

PS4 has Gravity Rush
That's a Vita game
PS3 has ridge racer and motorstorm which makes it leagues better than the PS4.
neither has any games anyway

If you're an idort, the PS3.
If you only play one platform from that generation, the PS4.
Easily the PS3.

Ahhh yes the ps3 porn browsing
Ps4
Even though I played more on the PS4, PS3 wins.
PS4. PS3 made me hate Sony and 360 shat all over it. PS4 had a better UI and ended up getting tons of 3rd party games, which helped it.
The PS4 is useless to anyone with a PC whereas there's still value in both 7th gen consoles 17 years later.
The only reason to plug in my PS3 again would be to play Tokyo Jungle or Noby Noby Boy
>What is best console between these two?
But anon... there is nothing between them.
PS3 had a diverse selection of games, by PS4 sony killed all those IP's and shifted to movie shit
Post PSP sony consoles were all utter dogshit

ps3 had better 'sclusives
ps3 is a gold mine of games compared to 4 and 5
