Good environmental design + an excellent skybox and background structures/images can easily evoke a large sense of scale even if the play area is quite small. kek, Ancestral Steppes was the first that came to mind. It's why I'm not actually the biggest fan of gen 5 maps. I don't think they've significantly increased my sense of immersion and scale, and gameplay hasn't improved at all from the map change (you still fight in areas).

Would Samus play Yugioh?
When I was a kid this image perplexed me because I didn't realize that her left hand was resting on her right arm and thought she didn't have a hand at all.
The Metroid Suit transformation was fricking classic. Samus was 300% DONE. Frick this arrogant ass bird homie and his bullshit. You ain't my dad. Frick you.
My favorite touch in all of Dread is the reintroduction of metal to the suit, very literally "the Fusion Suit is healing from the massive deconstructive surgery it had"
I prefer the Prime2 version where they changed the visor shape a bit.
Prime2 also contains Dark Suit, which is my personal favorite for whatever reason.
In my case I always thought of the zero suit as something closer to a flight suit. I recognize the appeal of basically blue body paint but whenever I think of the zero suit I always think of it in a utilitarian sense. Like Samus wears it as a buffer between the suit and her own skin with maybe some neurological controls between the two.
NTA but for me it's just the design itself. A tight undersuit makes sense to wear underneath powered armor, but the zero suit is just such a nothing design, there's no interesting details or lines on it. Something more like an Eva plugsuit that looks functional and sci-fi would be a lot cooler.
Dread's Gravity Suit is my favorite. I adore the glowing green cracks running up her body. As if her suit is charged past its maximum and almost rupturing from its own power, made my jaw drop to see it.
going to have to hard disagree with this post and say that I dislike the LED suspenders on Dread gravity. Not that it ruins the look but I prefer the medium LEDs on varia or the small ones on the basic power suit.
Of course, we can all agree that Other M had the worst suit and I'm tired of seeing it in other games.
This may be unpopular but the Other M suit is fine, it's just stuck in a really bad game. Now the Other M "gravity suit", what was Sakamoto thinking with that.
I don't hate MOM suit on principal. But it is my least favorite because of how overly sleek it is. I doubly dislike the on/off switch that's dictated by concentration. It makes it look less like a power suit and more like a magical girl transformation. And even though it sounds like it this isn't me shitting on the plot but the design of the suit itself. It's fine. But that's mostly because of the suit its based on, it's stealing valor from the versions of the Varia Suits I actually like.
I agree with the concentration thing, that cutscene where it's flickering on and off is just goofy. It's way cooler to imagine that she has to have some Iron Man-esque contraption on her ship to get into the suit.
I agree with the concentration thing, that cutscene where it's flickering on and off is just goofy. It's way cooler to imagine that she has to have some Iron Man-esque contraption on her ship to get into the suit.
The concentration thing is specially stupid because it contradicts previous games. In both Fusion and Prime 3, she henshins it on and it just stays on.
Logically speaking, the suit should have immediately poofed when she lost conciousness in Fusion, Prime 3, and even Dread.
But nope. Somehow managed to keep that concentration even while asleep.
nah it's a downgrade on its own merits too, the shoulders being perfect spheres fricks up the silhouette and the lack of embellishments around the joints gives it an overly smooth 'prop' look. it's not as dogshit as a design compared to how its used in the story sure, but it's not good either
primes had all the best suits
phazon, dark, light, even hazard suit grew on me. I love the gravity suit but I want to see 2d get a little out there next time with its final suit concept
I don't quite like the colors of any of the dread suits, but the proportions are much better than in previous games. Something like the light suit or the PED suit from prime 3 would be sick as shit with the Dread proportions
The only colors I don't like on the dread suit is the Varia Suit. I really feel like the white makes it look like Samus is wearing a diaper. Which is weird because I never get that with the base suit even though it has the same white. The Dread Gravity suit is utter perfection though.
Oof, so close. That Other M Power Suit is just the Varia Suit colored yellow.
There actually is a difference in their models.
The bonus section is also missing the Other M Zero Mission style suit that's used in a cutscene, and the unused Gravity suit model.
There's no difference between the Other M Power and Varia. There's an unused Other M Power that's different, but unused, on top of the Zero Mission styled one that's in that cutscene.
insist it is used
Came from your imagination. Shower is that way if you want to argue with it. >You either post it right or not at all.
No. An imperfect post is infinitely more than 0.
I'm exceeding curious what Prime 4 intends on doing. Retro generally goes out of their way to not ape the Varia/ Gravity combo. Even Prime 1 made sure to introduce its own original suit.
Can someone please explain to me the relationship between retro and nintendo? Because on the one hand Nintendo doesn't really reference to Prime games in the mainline games. But on the other hand that never stopped them from biting off of Retro's idea of her visor. And the only official word from Sakamoto is that the Prime games were Gaiden games. You can say Nintendo doesn't care about them but then they commissioned yet another Prime game so on some level Nintendo has to know that those games are beloved despite being made by Americans.
I think it's necessary to remember that Nintendo doesn't put much weight on story. The Zelda Timeline only seems to exists because Zelda fans were so obsessed with it. The games are clearly all standalone with few exceptions, and the Metroid series seems to follow that for the most part.
I remember hearing that Japanese folks don't put nearly as much weight on the idea of "Canon" that Americans do.

Metroid is basically the one Nintendo property that has a fairly sensible plot and continuity and flows well from one game to another (discounting Other M that is). I'm fairly amazed that Dread follows directly from Fusion and includes the X as a major plot point rather than just creating a new type of enemy given how far removed we are from that game.

That's honestly part of what makes it really appealing. It's fun to follow the ongoing narrative.

Frankly, I'm glad it does. Bout damn time we continued the story. Presumably 6 will do the same and follow up on Samus going full metroid.

I'm more surprised that they manage to include Adam into Metroid dread and yet barely include him at all. I think Nintendo knows that are still a lot of bad blood from Other M but you can't just have the big emotional moment from the last game just disappear into the void. So Adam is present but then he's replaced almost immediately by Raven Beak chadposting about himself for the entire run of the game until the very end where Adam comes back.

It's a shame they already killed him off. Unless 6 is going to bullshit Ridley back again, it would've been nice to have another reoccuring villain.

I would have liked them for at least one more ride. I could absolutely see a double boss fight with Raven Beak and Ridley with both of them trying to kill you but also them fighting each other because both of them are way too egotistical to tolerate the other taking their spotlight. Kind of like the Abyss Watchers where sometimes they'll get distracted with fighting each other.

I know he's a Metroid villain who isn't Ridley, but goddamn it's almost a shame he only lasted one game. He's probably the best "evil Samus" in the series, and his role gives us so many juicy lore drops. That, and he was just a sick ass boss fight. Am I a child for audibly saying oh shit when it clicked that he was using Samus's abilities. He also uses them slightly differently. For example Samus uses Flash Shift to move around the screen while Raven Beak uses it to Smash into you. Raven Beak's can combine the Shinespark with his ability to fly to ram into you. Also in the intro you can get a clue how to fight Raven Beak because Samus parries the Flash Shift in their first fight. I LOVE that shit in video games

yes you can, that's just sunk costs thinking. if something sucks get rid of it, it doesn't matter if wikiwarriors will go WHERES ADAM
It's the same way they look at DKC games, they kinda just write them off but still keep them around because they're loved by fans, it's crazy how the Prime games are considered "side stories" when the whole arc is about one of the most dangerous conflicts Samus ever encountered, I'm glad MP4 wasn't completely cancelled.
I don't see what's so crazy about it. The Phazon arc is unrelated to the main Metroid arc that the mainline games cover. It's a side story.

I dunno man, it feels like you just have some kind of inferiority complex. A side story doesn't mean it's unimportant, just that it's not directly related. And it wasn't. The Phazon conflict is a wholly different thing.

The Prime series technically goes between Metroid NES and Metroid: Samus Returns, so you can think about that series being maybe part of the events leading to the Galactic Federation hiring Samus to target Metroids more, since a lot of their potential as biological hazards was revealed in the Prime Trilogy.
It's not "critical" to the main series titles, but you can definitely say they were relevant.
Probably not exactly the same relationship they would have with their japan based developers.
Not to digress into an unrelated series, but I can guarantee you the reason they don't acknowledge the prime series that much is probably the same reason that got Star Fox 2 cancelled, since that was developed by brits.
Nintendo doesn't care about metroid, they have Sakamoto and MS do 2D with Tanabe and Retro doing prime. Internal nintendo doesn't give a frick about the series
and people will laugh at them seething over their canonized fanfiction game's failure for all eternity
(while making non-canon, but more appreciated fan games and official """"side-story"""" metroid games)
Maybe they shouldn't be running them into the dirt then.
I mean, Retro were the ones making the big high profile Metroid titles throughout the 2000s, so... The exceptions of course being Fusion(which was divisive) and Zero Mission(which was a remake). Pinball is in no way high profile.
Incidentally, the oughts were a glorious time to be a Metroid fan. The fandom was chill, it was active, tons of creativity and high quality fan projects. You now remember Metroid Metal, for example. Hell, we almost had a decent machinma community going with Hunters multiplayer having a then upcoming following. Shit was grand.
>Metroid Metal
Holy frick, I remember visiting that site almost daily waiting for a new track, I may not be that much into metal anymore but they made some of the best covers.
Right? Good shit. This was also around the time Metroid Database had started up, and it was so fricking cool to be able to read a bunch of Metroid related comics/manga. Like the Captain N comic.
... And then it all went to shit the instant Other M came out. We never really got over those scars.
I remember visiting the Database and Metroid Recon all the time too, they had the best rips of the OSTs and the highest definition artwork and concept art. I miss forums and other sites for games like this, they're still around but most are almost dead because everyone went to discord or twitter and everything became shittier because of that.
Ya except the era is also informed by the start of the underbelly fricking degenerates and their journalist milk sop allies to push that Samus and other chars are trans. And mow we are where we currently are in terms of zeitgeist being to frick with characters identities in digital communiies to the point that not even corner stone franchises like Zelda have people emasculating Link, gayifying Ganon and tons of other shit.
>have armor >take unexpected hit >GOOD THING I HAVE ARMOR ! >armor turns off and you take the full damage
other M makes it seem like the chozo designed it wrong as a joke
>no idea how nightmare got to the Bottle ship! >no explanation why Ridleys corpse is on the ship >essential Adam lore! >rendering the manga fully non canon
It's essential
>no idea how nightmare got to the Bottle ship! >no explanation why Ridleys corpse is on the ship >essential Adam lore! >rendering the manga fully non canon
It's essential
Frick it, since we're going there anyway. Two things that really stick in my craw about Other M are:
1) the Chozo are never once mentioned, in this story that's supposedly about Samus Aran's backstory. Past is prologue and all that. That's like telling a story about Superman's history without ever bringing up the Kents. What the frick.
2) It's never actually stated explicitly why Samus considerd Ridley her "long standing nemesis", or why she inexplicably freaks out when he's around.
You can't even try to approach this game on its own terms, because it fails at even the most basic shit.
>or why she inexplicably freaks out when he's around.
the manga explains it but between the manga and other M samus fought ridley 3 times or something so it makes no sense anyway
>It's never actually stated explicitly why Samus considerd Ridley her "long standing nemesis", or why she inexplicably freaks out when he's around.
Ridley killed and ate her parents in front of her, but like that other anon said it's moronic because she's already fought him multiple times and having flashbacks is stupid.
Oh I know about the manga, but what's funny is that Other M contradicts that too. Because the manga ends with the Zero Mission Ridley fight, where it's shown to be this cathartic emotional payoff where she moves past her trauma by defeating her tormentor in battle. She even does this primal warrior yell afterwards too, it's awesome.
The game also neglects to mention the part where Ridley forced Samus(age 3 at the time) to watch him eat her parents' bodies. Which is why we needn't worry about a Metroid movie anytime soon.

It's not like the manga is canon. It's influenced canon, but it's definitely not wholesale canon. Otherwise there are a boatload more inconsistencies to tackle.
>It's never actually stated explicitly why Samus considerd Ridley her "long standing nemesis", or why she inexplicably freaks out when he's around.

He didn't even kill her father. He killed himself in a suicidal attack to stop the Pirates. And there was likely nothing of him left to eat.
There is so, so, so much wrong with Other M. Metroid Other M fascinates me because it's the only game I can think of that is fractally wrong. In most other games I can at least say that this detail was cool or I can see how they wanted to do that. But Metroid Other M is special in the sense that it's wrong on every resolution. When I look at the general plot it's wrong. When I look at the details it's wrong. Adam gave the team permission to use the Ice Beam at the beginning of the game when you're fighting the first boss. But Samus doesn't use hers because Adam didn't specifically tell her to. That didn't even click with me when the game was new. I was going over to script and I just happened to stumble into it. For years every time I looked at the game I found something else that was wrong and honestly I became sort of obsessed with it. Because there was no publisher interference. There was no time crunch that made the game this way. This was Sakamoto's Vision realized the way he wanted it and he would change nothing if he were to do it again. And all of it is wrong.
I still don't know what the frick the point of the assassin team member was or why we were meant to be shocked

The idea was supposed to be that it was some internal group within the Federation that went rogue and decided after watching the space pirates commit suicide trying to control the metroids that they were going to do it too. Why do this though? If these fricks have enough clout to be able to turn an entire Space Station into a federation black site then why allow Adam's team to go there at all? If they don't want anyone knowing what they were doing there then just don't send the team and don't allow anyone to answer the SOS. If Adam is such a stickler for following orders then while Adam is getting orders from command just tell him to tell any bounty hunters to frick off. Adam doesn't want her there anyway. What I'm saying is that everybody in this game is stupid. Except for Anthony who's just ignorant. They made up this plot about a rogue faction within the Federation knowing full well that they have zero intention on exploring it.
>This was Sakamoto's Vision realized the way he wanted it and he would change nothing if he were to do it again
not to mention the controls
I couldn't play for more than 1 hour without my hands hurting

I will happily defend Samus' civilian outfit. And honestly, shit as the game is, some of the ideas it presents aren't inherently terrible. Hot take, MB being the primary example. If this game actually was about motherhood, she should've been the real Mother Brain, and there'd be some exploration of that relationship. After all, she did help raise Samus back on Zebes. Let's go into that instead of some dude she used to work for.
>Ancient piece of war tech designed by a race of sage aliens who were at one with nature >Nigh indestructible and capable of traversing any environment when at peak performance >Improves mobility through the numerous movement utilities >Equipped with an arsenal of weapons equally as numerous and deadly >All of this can be fielded by a single individual >Said alien race had multiple of these
Actually, the suit that Samus has now is one who won through a trial by the Chozo God of War. The one she had in Zero Mission before that was a trainer. It is also fused to her very being so if she dies it goes with her.
it ran on magical girls rules in super too, i'm talking about having her lose it and then get a different one in a pointless little side diversion to pad out the game, it's such a nothing addition that also cheapens the suit(s)

Well it was shown in post credits that Samus was at that place before as a kid with the Chozo. She was going to take that trial at some point anyway. It's just that Mother Brain turned traitor before she could do it proper. Besides, would you want a total noob to get a planet nuker on day one? No, you put them in baby tier shit first.
So Samus suit in Dread starts out as the Varia suit right? This is consistent with Fusions ending?
Then RB bumps her down right away back to Power suit?
>Story felt disjointed >Characters and plot points disappear for no reason whatsoever >Samus being extremely out of character >Ridley is now a fricking pokemon >BABY BABY BABY BABY THE BABY >Adam sacrificing himself for no fricking reason >At least the gameplay was okay
The white is very sleek and the bellbottom shape gives it a unique silhouette.
I still prefer the Prime trilogy suits the most, the Prime 1 suits have nice bulk without looking overdesigned like the Samus Returns suits, the dark suit has this cobbled-together-from-scraps feel that perfectly portrays the desperate struggle of the Luminoth, the light suit looks almost magical with how seamless it is, and the PED suit is very GF (The cool GF from Prime, not the shitty GF from Other M).
I think he was trolling the feminists that were b***hing about her suit having heels, so rather than remove the heels he made them even longer and gave them a utility.
For me it's the baseline Dread suit. Love that blue.

Dread's Gravity Suit is my favorite. I adore the glowing green cracks running up her body. As if her suit is charged past its maximum and almost rupturing from its own power, made my jaw drop to see it.
Making Varia/Gravity distinct beyond being a pallet swap is one of the best things Mercury Steam has introduced.
going to have to hard disagree with this post and say that I dislike the LED suspenders on Dread gravity.
> It makes it look less like a power suit and more like a magical girl transformation
The image has nestled in to my mind and it refuses to leave.
The concentration thing is specially stupid because it contradicts previous games. In both Fusion and Prime 3, she henshins it on and it just stays on.
Logically speaking, the suit should have immediately poofed when she lost conciousness in Fusion, Prime 3, and even Dread.
But nope. Somehow managed to keep that concentration even while asleep.
nah it's a downgrade on its own merits too, the shoulders being perfect spheres fricks up the silhouette and the lack of embellishments around the joints gives it an overly smooth 'prop' look. it's not as dogshit as a design compared to how its used in the story sure, but it's not good either
is samus gay
No, she had the hots for Adam's brother before he got killed, after that she sort of swore off getting personally involved with people.
Did they ever explain why the fusion suit changed into that? I mean I can head canon several ways if they didn't, just curious if it was touched on.
I don't know if it's explicitly stated, but it's in the process of healing back into the fully-armored version from the previous games.
That's pretty much what I was thinking, makes enough sense. I love the classic Super design, so it'd be cool to see that again in a later game
primes had all the best suits
phazon, dark, light, even hazard suit grew on me.
I want to see Samus having to meet with clients.
I got turned on by this when it appeared animated on my screen
All the suits are sexy as long as it isn't the Other M suit.
I don't know who fricking signed off on that concept.
Probably Sakamoto, because he's a dumbass that wanted the Gravity Suit to be some kind of purple aura instead of an actual purple suit.
I still like the original base power suit the best
>no reference image
OP learn how to thread.

No, you will not do this. You either post it right or not at all.

Came from your imagination. Shower is that way if you want to argue with it.

No. An imperfect post is infinitely more than 0.
Do not post that image again.
Out of date.

They really knocked it out of the park with the Dread suit.
REMEMBER ME?
Reminder that Nintendo still considers Other M to be her default look after 13 years.
this makes me feel AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
eh it's a low-def toy
can't wait for metroid prime 4 to shit all over other M's design like SR and dread's suit designs did
I'm exceeding curious what Prime 4 intends on doing. Retro generally goes out of their way to not ape the Varia/ Gravity combo. Even Prime 1 made sure to introduce its own original suit.
And Nintendo will probably ignore it because it's made by dirty gaijin.
Nintendo thinks of Prime's stories as unimportant side stories. Minor events that don't matter that much overall.
>Metroid is basically the one Nintendo property that has a fairly sensible plot and continuity and flows well from one game to another (discounting Other M that is).
That's honestly part of what makes it really appealing. It's fun to follow the ongoing narrative.
>I'm fairly amazed that Dread follows directly from Fusion and includes the X as a major plot point rather than just creating a new type of enemy given how far removed we are from that game.
I miss raven beak memes so much...
>Also have you seen the size of his wiener? Analysis suggests that it's in the upper echelon of size, length, and girth. Telemetry data of your species suggest that most of your kind would be enthralled by it. You must take care of avoid Raven Beak at all costs. You do not have the ability to handle his mass.
thank you anon
We finally get an evil chozo, and dude does not disappoint.
Would have made a way better Smash DLC fighter than 95% of the fighter's pass characters.
The bigger "oh shit" for me was realizing that he uses the Aeion abilities from Samus Returns.
Adam being Raven Beak all along is one of the funniest reveals when you look back at how all he does is shittalk how helpless Samus is and how big and strong and powerful Raven Beak is.
>but you can't just have the big emotional moment from the last game just disappear into the void.
yes you can, that's just sunk costs thinking. if something sucks get rid of it, it doesn't matter if wikiwarriors will go WHERES ADAM
>Minor events that don't matter that much overall.
They mattered to me, dammit. They mattered to me.
>tfw it eternally pisses Nintendo off if I enjoy Am2R and non-canon Metroid romhacks
Feels great not caring about canon and lore.
>AM2R
2.0 when?
Black person if that was the case Prime 4 would have never been greenlit in the first place.
We would have never gotten Prime Remastered.
What's there to explain? Retro Studios is a subsidiary to Nintendo and develops games for them.
It's a side story.
>has Metroids
>has Space Pirates
>has Chozo
>has Ridley
>has the Galactic Federation
>tons of new lore for the Chozo and Pirates
>has more variants of metroids
>has new races linked to the Chozo
>galactic-scale conflict
Nah, Nintendo's take is stupid, they're too used to games with bare story like Mario so they don't know what the frick to do when another franchise has actual continuity. I won't follow what they say.
They're xenophobes mad that Texans mogged them when all glorious nippon could shit out was Other M.
Yeah, I don't get that either. Tell you what though, still looking forward to her cameo.
... It's completely insane to even imagine her being a hidden unlockable party member, right?
I imagine it's just going to be a remake on the level of Link's Awakening without much that wasn't in the original game.
>Nintendo
That's a Square game. And it's not even the Other M proportions.
i can't even differentiate what makes this Other M's varia suit
Looks like an edited Smash 3DS trophy
the elephant suit
They probably don't want filthy foreigners deciding the fate of their IPs.
Maybe they shouldn't be running them into the dirt then.
Hope they don't get too wienery with the current state of the IP and end up doing the same with the Spaniards who also mogged them.
Hunters multiplayer was a lot of fun, but the controls made my hand cramp something fierce.
>This was also around the time Metroid Database had started up
Metroid Database started in 1996.
jesus christ
>super-duper-a-cus
Yeah, Captain N did Pit real dirty.
What makes it worse is that he almost assuredly ripped it off from Haloid of all things.
And mow we are where we currently are in terms of zeitgeist being to frick with characters identities in digital communiies to the point that not even corner stone franchises like Zelda have people emasculating Link, gayifying Ganon and tons of other shit.
samus returns' gravity suit
prime 1 and 2 suits are edgy garbage and if you like them you have a shit taste
this is not debatable
Not sure I like what he's doing with the story on that last one.
The Power Suit is pretty scary if you think about it.
>have armor
>take unexpected hit
>GOOD THING I HAVE ARMOR !
>armor turns off and you take the full damage
other M makes it seem like the chozo designed it wrong as a joke
If you retcon Other M out of the lore, nothing changes. It is that unimportant.
>no idea how nightmare got to the Bottle ship!
>no explanation why Ridleys corpse is on the ship
>essential Adam lore!
>rendering the manga fully non canon
The same game renders the manga non canon due to Samus younger years working for GF
it sucks in the manga too
Oh I know about the manga, but what's funny is that Other M contradicts that too.
Ridley killed and ate her parents in front of her, but like that other anon said it's moronic because she's already fought him multiple times and having flashbacks is stupid.
>Ridley killed and ate her parents in front of her
Where is this meme perpetuating from? He killed them, he ate them, but he didn't do either in front of her.
He didn't even kill her father. He killed himself in a suicidal attack to stop the Pirates. And there was likely nothing of him left to eat.
Her dad blew up the facility with him inside. He wasn't eaten
I liked switching views. That's the only thing I enjoyed doing.
Short haired Samus was the only good thing, maaayyybe Anthony since he's the least moronic character and actually manages to stand out among the other "who the frick cares" GF guys.
>Ancient piece of war tech designed by a race of sage aliens who were at one with nature
>Nigh indestructible and capable of traversing any environment when at peak performance
>Improves mobility through the numerous movement utilities
>Equipped with an arsenal of weapons equally as numerous and deadly
>All of this can be fielded by a single individual
>Said alien race had multiple of these
Actually, the suit that Samus has now is one who won through a trial by the Chozo God of War. The one she had in Zero Mission before that was a trainer. It is also fused to her very being so if she dies it goes with her.
frick zero mission
Its been the lore for years, dude. Samus's Power Suit runs on magical girl rules. Its why it can do all that crazy shit.
yeah i mean, since the first game she could literally morph into a ball
it ran on magical girls rules in super too, i'm talking about having her lose it and then get a different one in a pointless little side diversion to pad out the game, it's such a nothing addition that also cheapens the suit(s)
Well it was shown in post credits that Samus was at that place before as a kid with the Chozo. She was going to take that trial at some point anyway. It's just that Mother Brain turned traitor before she could do it proper. Besides, would you want a total noob to get a planet nuker on day one? No, you put them in baby tier shit first.
it also turns energy into matter considering samus can just will it in existence, plus all the bombs and missiles and whatnot
I think if, fresh out of her shower, I'd lick Samus' butthole.
>licking soap and water and not samus' fluids
unironically gross
if she has fluids coming out of her butthole, lady needs a imodium.
you're right, i should've said particles because i was also thinking of sweat
but in any case i stand by what i said with this correction
you're a good man, anon. you deserve Samus' sweat, and any other stuff her body makes.
>butthole.
Cloaca with fangs.
The Light Suit, followed by the Dark Suit, followed by the Varia suit.
So Samus suit in Dread starts out as the Varia suit right? This is consistent with Fusions ending?
Then RB bumps her down right away back to Power suit?
No. At the end of Fusion she has the Gravity Suit but in Dread she starts with the Varia Suit
https://metroid.fandom.com/wiki/Omega_Suit
I want to frick Samus in ball form.
Other M was so gay.
the baby
MOTHER
OTHER M
THAT'S RIGHT PRINCESS
THERE'S ANOTHA MOTHA SAYS DIS BROTHA
MOM TWO IF YOU WILL
So fricking fricking fricking fricking stupid.
Fricking chink characterization.
Learn to fricking write dialogue you shit fricks.
>Story felt disjointed
>Characters and plot points disappear for no reason whatsoever
>Samus being extremely out of character
>Ridley is now a fricking pokemon
>BABY BABY BABY BABY THE BABY
>Adam sacrificing himself for no fricking reason
>At least the gameplay was okay
"The baby" is only said 8 times, focus on something else shit about it like Adam
That's 8 times too many.
that entire thumbs down monologue flashback is way worse and wayyy cornier than the baby scene anyway
Other M is to this day the only "main" Metroid game that I have never had the stomach to play.
The white is very sleek and the bellbottom shape gives it a unique silhouette.
I still prefer the Prime trilogy suits the most, the Prime 1 suits have nice bulk without looking overdesigned like the Samus Returns suits, the dark suit has this cobbled-together-from-scraps feel that perfectly portrays the desperate struggle of the Luminoth, the light suit looks almost magical with how seamless it is, and the PED suit is very GF (The cool GF from Prime, not the shitty GF from Other M).
>rocket heels
Sakurai, like Sakamoto, was dead set on turning Samus into a bawd.
I think he was trolling the feminists that were b***hing about her suit having heels, so rather than remove the heels he made them even longer and gave them a utility.
I think the Hazard look is neat
It's great tough it's really just the PED with different shoulders and a purple aura, still really fricking cool.
always wish the dark suit had the brown parts be more fleshy
i always liked the prime gravity suit being closer to a navy blue shade than straight purple tbh
It looks a lot like the classic indigo GameCube, maybe it was a reference?
Zero Suit
croc BTFO
delete this, crocomire is a good boy who did nothing wrong
>literally dies in his own acid piss
huh
The Mega Man Zero suit.
Metroid 6 when?
For me? The Power Suit
I like the SR Gravity Suit, the Phazon Suit, and the PED Suit. They just look cool.
