whats the point in your posts? just changing the speed or size of the webm slightly so that people have to keep filtering your shit? why cant you just use the same ones over and over and not be a frickin attention gay
best it can do to garner replies when only two other people talk to it
just takes a literal dump here because it gets drowned out on /vg/
these threads would be saved with more attention prostitutes really just so the janny actually looks here for once
The threads thrive when we
a) have news/patch notes/content to talk about
b) debate game design
The threads suffer when we respond to barryposts or argue about the avatargays instead of ignoring them.
On that note, I'd like to remind everyone that Square ruined healers by simplifying their DPS rotations. SCH should have its dots back, and SGE in particular should have a much more engaging rotation instead of the slop that all healers currently have to suffer through.
GCD healing is super boring. Broil > Broil > Succor > Broil > Succor > Broil is worse gameplay than Broil spam with oGCDs weaved.
The oGCD healing is not really the problem, the issue is that the reward for progging your healing rotation is that you get to spam broil and fall asleep.

every gameplay rotation is ultra boring, Tanks have 3 buttons with a buff to keep up and a fell cleave rotation, DPS have "build stuff, clip ogdc and use stronger stuff on 2 burst minute windows" and healers are 1 button with all incoming damage already calculated so good healers already know exactly how many usages of his spells are gonna take for the entire fight

I'd say SAM MNK RDM, maybe even MCH and BRD are interesting enough even in casual content. Pressing things in the right order and pooling resources a little bit to line up a burst is nothing super advanced but it's 100x more entertaining than healing most fights.
I will praise the devs for one thing though, this new extreme is really entertaining to heal - you can really save pulls with good triage and some rescue usage.
>On that note, I'd like to remind everyone that Square ruined healers by simplifying their DPS rotations. SCH should have its dots back, and SGE in particular should have a much more engaging rotation instead of the slop that all healers currently have to suffer through.
Okay doomposting Barry you do it for free
Healers are never going to stop being braindead because we've gone past the point of no return when it comes to the casual population. Healers hold too much responsibility and they can't afford to have entire parties getting mad because of healers incapable of doing their jobs. The only way they could fix this is by actually removing the role as a requirement for content and changing it into something else.
I still have some faint hope that because SMN and BLM can coexist, a braindead WHM and complex (SGE/SCH/AST) could too.
Anonymous
They probably already think that is the case with WHM/SGE being the braindead ones and AST/SCH being the harder ones. The rework AST is supposed to get will probably cement their stance on healers going forward.
Anonymous
They're a bit harder but not really in a fun way. AST feels really disjointed and the cards are limp (especially compared to their old selves). SCH's kit is interesting and oppositional but still, once you figure out your healing plan for the fight (often using only half of your kit anyway) you are back to Broilling like the best of 'em.

Sounds like you're being played like the fricking moronic autist you are.
Cooming in Y'shtola.
Also I didn't mind Zero as much ever since she dropped both her inconsistent af payments rule and the what are feelings shit that dragged on for too long, so it's a shame that all the actual good parts were at the end.
By devs not giving a frick about the game anymore
DT will be the last expansion before the next FF MMO is out and like XI it will be in maintenance mode
>He's supposed to be preparing to fly back to the planet.
**whiiiirrrr* Vrtra, preparing to take off... *whiiiiirrrr* Clear the launch zone, I repeat, clear the launch zone... *whiiiiirrrr* Please enjoy your flight with Thavn Air lines...
I mean, he was trying to be polite by kindly waiting for the player and everyone else to finish having their conversation before ditching them to get back home quickly so he could finally have some alone time with his sister for the first time in 2000 years. he would've looked like an ungrateful ass if he just took off the second they popped out of that voidgate.
>taller than male hroth
where were these c**ts when bozja needed defending? if that's their actual size I will actually seether because of lore moronation
Oschon chads won, I knew I would win bigly. But this probably the second best part 1 end of expansion .5.
Nothing will ever be as bad as shadowbringers snooze fest with gaysahi and zebore.
That male hroth is likely min-height. My max height male hroth's hips are about the same height as those legs and male hroth have very stumpy legs proportionately. So it depends on where this femhroth stands on the height spectrum for their race but males will likely still be taller but only when they stand up straight.
they teased a fem hroth character during the 6.5 MSQ by showing only the legs.
Obviously people found the model with anamnesis, and it's only the legs because why the frick would they put the full body in the game
>because why the frick would they put the full body in the game
It just means after all these years, they've learned to not put any assets in the client they don't want the players to see.
I realized I hadn't launched the game since July and finally uninstalled.
"But I'll have to reconfigure my mods when I come back" was keeping me from doing it for a while but I no longer care.
I wish anything regarding the Ancients is done and over for at least a while. Even a worse plot device than everything being Allagan. I also hope Zero has zero screentime for at least the whole next expansion.
I give up with this game, doesn't deserve my sub.
Gonna demolish my small house just so it doesn't auto-demolish. Been saving up for a mansion anyway.
Maybe I'll come back during dawntrail, but if its writing and content level is on par with 6.X I will probably never come back.
Honestly, I'm kind of sad.
also, healers are fine. if you are bored spamming 1 button you're going to be bored spamming 3 of them. the game is designed to be played like a jrpg. of course its going to be easy in its story mode.
what i don't understand is why people want the game to be more difficult. its an mmo. mmo players are barely functional morons. look at worlo. that dude who couldn't beat the 5.1 rp instance. why do people want to be the biggest fish in the tiny pond, when there are far more difficult genres to play? or is it just the howling of a tiny but loud minority that demand the game be catered to them?
I remember seeing his DRK rotation where he couldn't finish a simple 3 step combo back then
The average MMO player sucks and has sucked for a very long time, no one should be surprised at the design direction.... That's cool, I thought they changed something with Mt. Corel because I couldn't get up there on that little corner when I last tried
It's crazy that someone who has interacted with maximum of one ultimate way past it's expiration date, didn't/barely touched Savage in Heavensward, is acting like some sort of steward of class design. I know you have shit taste, but you don't have to parrot your opinions from the garbage you read online. You're allowed to have your own, you know! The average mmo player being you, I assume?
Man, you contribute absolutely nothing here.
What are you talking about?
You could jump there before 6.5
I did it fairly often
The jump was very finicky, but once you got the hang of it you could do it in 1 go
Oh yeah
this was TOTALLY designed for males, right?
Fricking prostitute in charge of glam in the game, man.
Stupid b***h can't do anything right. Someone should fricking rape her.
Literally only healing gear is designed for females in this game, we used to have decent crafting glams sometimes, but m*les had to complain and now everything is gender neutral except for mogstation shit
I assume the tickets that you get from shipping the Furball's request. I should be done with the grind tomorrow to double check. Don't currently have access to his requests at R18.

>NEW BAD >OLD GOOD
Generally true, yes. >DONT BLAME THE DEVS MAKING THE ENCOUNTERS BEYOND FRICKING BORING
I do. >NO ITS THE 2 MINUTE META THAT'S THE ISSUE
This is a separate issue but still a big issue.
Recent decent fights: >p2s >p3s >p5s >p8s (though a bit heavy on bodychecks in p2) >p10s (except for bonds) >venat ex >barbie ex >zeromus ex >some bits of criterion
There's still some good encounters this expac, and some rough ones in the past. But now we have this awful job design that's really easy to notice when you're doing your target dummy rotation for 8 minutes against an arena-sized hitbox.
>p2
yes, underrated fight too >p3
no, even outside of orange shit it sucked, good adds phase though >p5
yes >p8
p1 yes, p2 lol hell no >p10
yes
the rest is correct outside of criterion, ASS was great but Rokkon sucked
>p2 lol hell no
The high incoming damage was thrilling as a healer. High concept was really interesting, and it annoys me when I hear DPS players whining about downtime when it makes for more interesting optimisation. But the #1 reason why I rate p8s p2 so highly is the huge thrill of the enrage phase. Getting past the stress of HC2 and the phoenix heal check and being rewarded with a huge dps buff, the boss going insane, the towers which are just enough to keep you on your toes but aren't a difficult mechanic, the damage output ramping up and up and up with that stacking buff. It's pure raidkino. Endsinger normal had the same idea and it was really well executed there too.
P8S is literally one of the posterboys together with TOP for dogshit recent fight design in this game.
A fight where you spend half the time actually fighting the boss and the other half running around the arena like a headless chicken with a thumb up your ass solving shitty puzzles is not fun.
It worked on UCOB because the trios were short and even then some of them still had uptime management.
If you want good healer fights that do it better, go look back at O4S P2 with Almagest and E4S as a whole (which is still one of the best fights in the game and has a much better final phase than P8)
>running around the arena like a headless chicken with a thumb up your ass solving shitty puzzles is not fun.
thats not just half of the fight, thats all of every fight
I love doing old content where I only have like 2-3 skills. It gets worse every expansion too. I would love to do old stuff if I had my whole fricking kit unlocked.
Pretty good.
Myths story was really good, I enjoyed the memorial scene even if the Raid itself is the easiest one after CT2.
The Dungeon and Trial were fantastic, the music cues were awesome. I was hoping Zero would stick around. We'll need a tank to replace Vitra.
Also pretty funny how nonplussed the Scions reunion was, we just have to swing by a taven in 6.55 to pick up Thancred and gang is back together.
It'll ease up a little in a couple weeks for the EU fanfest, then go downhill until January with the JP fanfest and 6.55. Then it'll tailspin into utter sludge for the following 7-8 months.
Zeromus is fun as frick. I beat him 4 times today (First time with a practice meteors party and then with another one)
The moment you find a team that can do meteors reliably you are pretty much set and it's not like meteors is pretty hard to do either.
The other thing that seems to kill a lot of people is the enumeration at the end but I think it's mostly cause there isn't a set in stone rule for where to be placed when that hits so people mostly just run around at random.
The design philosophy is much better because it doesn't rely on limit cut bullshit, it's a lot of fun
They just need to figure out the difficulty again, make it like Sephirot ya know? It's a bit easy...
While it's definitely easier than Golbez I still think it's fine as is. There's some moments where you can tell they could have done more like the filler Nox parts and doing a little more with Nostalgia but it's ok.
Worst part is that the enums can be very easily solved by just doing the same positions as Branding Flare, but people run around like headless chicken instead.
Yeah. You can also resolve all mechanics using a single row since there's enough room for it all, so who knows which strat will end up becoming popular.
this is a braindead moronic fight. what do you think is "fun" about it? it's little more than a glorified punching dummy. do you even leave melee range?
What makes you think that after we just spent the past two years with Estinien as wall decoration?
Tbqh I can't really tell if the writing team are huge Y'shtola and Estiniengays who put them in that storyline despite not having much of a role to give them, or they have no idea how to write/dislike Y'shtola and Estinien but YoshiP put as condition for these patches that they had to be there because they were in need of some screentime. Either one or the other.
Well, or they just simply kinda such at writing and can't balance more than 3 characters at once.
aside from the fat troony lalafel posters that post here.
I assume that most people, including myself, thought it was mid or low patch. Not as bad as stormblood msq though. Though I find it kind of funny they think this will last for another 8 months, when most likely the content will be revolved what happens with mods.
We have Thancred and fujogay already.
Urianger and Alphinaud are guaranteed because they're the two healers.
Y'shtola, Alisaie, Krile are all casters. One of them will sit out (Alisaie, God willing)
That's just that fricking blue haired pirate that they keep forcing on us in Endwalker that gets paired up with the ishgardian loser. He doesn't deserve main character rights.

Better him than that stupid literal who bunny boy. They even gave him some dramatic entrance scene in EW like I'm supposed to give a frick.
if I had to guess, it'd be Y'shtola. if Green Mage or whatever Krile is turning into is a dps, Krile could then pull the same role as her, including being the smart one that can read mechanics due to the echo
Give the Scions their old roles back as Trusts. Thancred can go ROG, Alphinaud can go ACN/pseudo SMN with Phoenix-egi, Y'shtola already has CNJ back for dungeons, Urianger got Lithomancer as a dps for Hydaelyn so give him that for dungeons, then Krile can do CNJ and GRN
I wish they'd bring back old shatter, it was mediocre but this new one is absolutely vile.
The map feels way too cramped and small now
I also hate the routes to the big crystals now
Shatter just sucks in general because no one wants to PVP, they just want to smack crystals because of the way it's designed
If there were fewer crystal nodes around so you'd actually be forced to fight over them it'd be slightly better, but as it is you can basically go 90% of the match without even getting close to either of the other teams.
FYI, the Rank V renovations for Workshops gives 12,000 EXP each, and then completing the last Vision (everything upgraded to max) gives 20,000 EXP. So 68,0000 out of 100,000 from Island Rank 19 to 20 is covered.
I've been playing it since 2010, I know the patch cycles. I have a bunch of goals to work on, currently doing all Zeta relics, halfway done doing all Animus books.
>chaos dc >all the mmogays ive befriended play on crystal dc >one mmo eurogay i know doesnt wanna play

Okay how do I automate island sanctuary, like literally just have my character bot around and do everything, what application do I use. None of this is fun or engaging at all.
I have never hated a piece of FFXIV writing more than the conclusion to the Twelve AR. After spending an entire expansion hammering home out the Ancient's blasé attitude towards death was the reason why Hermes went full moron and nearly doomed the entire universe, all but one of the Twelve just frick off and commit suicide just like their Ancient forbears and we're supposed to be happy about it. It's just fricking repulsive acting like killing themselves is some gift to the people. And the whole "well they don't need us anymore" justification is bullshit because you decide to sweep all this shit under the rug anyway so Eorzea doesn't collapse into a panic from the knowledge that their gods are all fricking dead.
Imagine if all of the Twelve were called back by the prayers of their faithful and they all decided to stay behind to live among their followers as mere mortals. Then every so often you could find them wandering around parts of Eorzea like Alpha and Omega (Halone around Ishgard, Nophica around Gridania, etcetera).
But no, I guess the power of MONKE is stronger than the collective faith and love of an entire planet. Fricking Christ.
Yeah, it doesn't sit right that they also just went and suicided after their duty was done when we were supposed to have understood that doing that was a problem. Hydaelyn dying at the end of her duty was supposed to be a sort of poetic irony because she was one of the few who opposed that line of thinking. So why are the Twelve doing it?
Yeah that ending soured the whole fricking thing for me. Just feels like an immense waste of potential storytelling or at least of nice heartwarming moments of seeing them do stuff they've always wanted to do while busy as deities.
It's very different for the Twelve, frankly. For one, they're constructs, and it's clear that their presence might actively get in the way of man reaching the full potential of what they deserve. It's not a case of them KYSing themselves because of societal pressure and suicidal expectation (they even encouraged Oschon to stay behind because he wanted to, contrasted to how the Ancients treated Venat as a fricking weirdo for wanting to do basically the same thing). It's a case of them being constructs that took on a duty to watch over mankind for 12,000 years and probably being pretty fricking worn out over it.
On top of that, they received undeniable proof that mankind's a better steward of the world than the Ancients were (and by extension, what the Twelve could be), and it's less a case of committing suicide because their job is done and more a parent entrusting the future to their children. Which is an ongoing theme with the entire game, to the extent that it's literally in the lyrics of Answers. >To all of my children in whom Life flows abundant >To all of my children to whom Death hath passed his judgement >The soul yearns for honor, and the flesh the hereafter >Look to those who walked before to lead those who walk after
They finally let go of life not just because they finished their job, but because they were tired and wanted to let mankind carve its own destiny.
There was no pressure for the Twelve to do it, and it wasn't out of boredom. It was a benevolent self-sacrifice for the sake of their children, to kindle new life.
>But no, I guess the power of MONKE is stronger than the collective faith and love of an entire planet. Fricking Christ.
He didn't stay literally for the monke. The monke is just representative of his connection to the world and the people on it that he through his wandering. He's supposed to be a parallel of (You) and Venat because of his adventuring giving him an attachment to the world.
IDK how anyone could think the Twelve would stick around after they basically said "yeah we hear your prayers but we don't answer them because we literally can't" in 6.3
Yeah, it doesn't sit right that they also just went and suicided after their duty was done when we were supposed to have understood that doing that was a problem.
Not only that, what if the WOL dies to something like the Black Rose again? Granted, in that AU they obviously didn't do shit either.
Frick your facts and critical thinking, what I think is facts and I despise Yoshitpiss for ruining everything about the Twelve.
Are we really going to pretend like the Twelve were real characters with any meaningful impact on the story?
They never did anything to help against the ascians or any other villain. They never helped the people that prayed for then neither punished anyone from abusing they faith.
They were just magic constructs made by venat to restore the balance of the star after the rejoinings, and now that the endsinger and the ascians are gone they aren't needed anymore.
If multiple ends of the world isn't enough to make the gods do anything, then they just arent real.
This is pretty much the way the Final Fantasy franchise has always treated Gods. If you want a setting were Gods are caracthers directly involved with the story then go play D&D.

>why do you even care if they weren't party members???
They're fundamental aspects of the setting I've been invested in for 13 years. I wouldn't have cared if they weren't real, I would have even preferred if the question was never answered in the first place. The point is that they were revealed just to be killed. It hits me in the sense of "The setting is finished, that's all. Only new stuff now. No more 1.0." >This is pretty much the way the Final Fantasy franchise has always treated Gods
7, 11, 12, 13, and 15 all have genuine gods in their settings.
They're mad because they interpret the writing as being anti-religion and by extension anti-Christianity.
Keeping the Twelve in the background after EVERYTHING that's happened while maintaining a "that's just how the gods work" stance about how they literally don't do anything can only work for so long.
>They're fundamental aspects of the setting I've been invested in for 13 years.
They were flavour text for the capital cities and nothing more, there was nothing for you to get invest in. I can understand if you wanted the mistery of they existence to remain, but are you really surprised that they weren't if every other "God" in the game isn't? >7, 11, 12, 13, and 15 all have genuine gods in their settings.
I can't talk about 11 or 13, but there is no real divinitys on 7, 12 or 15. Just because there are things being called Gods that doesn't mean they are trully Gods. Hingashi if filled with pseudo-Gods.
>They were flavour text for the capital cities and nothing more
There's a LOT more lore to the Twelve than that. But no more. >but there is no real divinitys on 7, 12 or 15
Minerva, the Occuria and Lucavi, Bhunivelze, Pulse, and Etro.

I know the Lucavi. the story call then demons and they posses humans as hosts and are the servants of Ultima. that said there isn't anything about then that suggest they are different from any other supernatural monster in the FF setting. They are for ultima what the ascians are for Zodiark, ther isn't anything divine or sacred about then.

They're 'divine' because they were created by genuine gods as holy servants, and they were corrupted through various means or baited into rebelling by Ultima, who is an angel. Cuchulainn, for instance, was created to soak up the sin of mankind so it wouldn't taint the world. But the gods underestimated how sinful mankind was and he was corrupted into a demon of filth.

>They're 'divine' because they were created by genuine gods as holy servants.
This is the point I disagree with. I don't think those gods are genuine, specially the gods from FF12. They relly too much on tricking humans to obey then for me to believe they are full blow gods that can control reality and stuff.
Anonymous
It's very small, but they quickly mention that the Occuria live "at the far end of the river of time". They're gods who have to intervene indirectly because they exist at the end of time. But they're definitely genuine gods because they made Zodiark who is the 'keeper of precepts', aka the foundation of all universal law. He controls physics itself.

If they are true gods why would they make a universe were they are limited like that? Especially if they care so much about meddling with it?
I can at get why YHWH never do anything, everything is going "accord to plan" so there is no need to do anything more.

The way Cuchulainn got corrupted suggests they really underestimated mankind. He was supposed to soak up mankind's sin so it wouldn't taint the world. But mankind turned out to be so disgusting that it corrupted him into a demon of filth.

Lucavi are heavily inspired by real life israelite angels, the Grigori, also known as the Nephelim
In their OG story, they not just rebelled against god and gave birth to evil men and giants, they tried to guide and mentor mankind, but in doing so sinned, taught humans evil knowledge and essentially violated the rule of free will by giving humans the tools for prosperity, war, lust, so on and on
This theme is also present in other "Angels" like Azazel who get cast unto the belly of the earth for waging war against the egyptian gods by himself, he is them given reigns to the punishment of the wicked in Sheol
Or the order of Satans, who distribute punishment to the wicked, and ofc Lucifer in some traditions, Yezidis specially find him a good figure, the king of the earth, for whom they pray to, hence their persecution thru the centuries
all of this very similar to Lucavi and to Venat in his attempt to challenge the Occuria, sometimes sharing similar roles or overlapping ones but having the same moto of defiance of these ancient gods and champions of mankind, depending on who you ask, and likewise a war follow on their wake.

Dude, speaking honestly, you clearly aren't capable of understanding jackshit, much less ontological and ontic shit, even if one explained epistemologically why you're dumb, you wouldn't get it, because you're too dumb to get it, get it?
Any attempt to explain stuff that is argued for ages in real life to a moron like you is like dropping droplets of sweet water in an ocean of salt, fundamentally pointless.
So concede and admit that you're a teen that watched a left leaning youtuber essayist ramble for an hour on how FF is an anti god, atheist work of art, as it's clear that both of you are too illiterate to understand all real life inspirations from classic FF games and are just looking for validation in your own world views, the atheist teen redditor.

Didn't said they don't do symbolism. i just said that certain concepts like monoteistic Gods doesn't mean the same thing for then. The Shin Megami Tensei franchise is a good example of that.

Who said it was? anon, this may be hard to take but you are allowed to be inspired by something, utilize somthing and make allegories out of it without subscribing to it's values, idk what your teachers are telling you to read, but this is something rather obvious and simple that any decent human being understands by default, its an essential tool in making stories.
no one said that the symbolism must mean something to team in order for them to utilize the themes.
And SMT is not an argument against this, it proves this, there is a lot more to occultism than just being a two sided coin of us vs them, SMT in fact draws a lot from left hand esoterism and kabbalah, does it means the devs are converted israelites or satanists? ofc not.
btw, did you know that in hebrew mythology deites can and are killed constantly, the "let's kill god" isn't even a JP exclusive trope, it happens in all mythologies, so who is subscribing to who in this scenario?

I think we are discussing different things. I'm just saying that the east has a vision that "god comes from nature", which is diferent of how the west see it, as "nature comes from god". This diference is why there is so many eastern games were you can kill god and the word doesn't just go out of the rails. You can like one vision more than the other, but you can't demand your prefered vision to be picked.

We probably are thinking very differently indeed in how we interpret this althou we ultimately agree because I don't think this have any value in terms of making a story, going back to the original post, Matsuno is a big middle eastern homosexual, so its natural that he will use and absorb themes, as the correlation between lucavi and scions to Grigori and other orders of angels is too jarring to be ignored, and where there is epistemologic stuff that gets translated into the game's story, while a self contained medium, I really don't believe they hold any ontical value in the end, at least not one that transcends the game's own lore.
So we probably agree in the end, I tend to forget that the popular western culture sees religion as an imanent reality thing while holding fiercily to the antropomorphic and illuminist traditions of before.

Agreed. In western works the idea of God is more close to what you see in works like Lord of the Rings, where you have a deity like Eru Ilúvatar that is the begining and end of all things. But this is a very western/abrahamic viwe of God that isn't as common on eastern works, were nature/the world normally precedes the gods births.

>overdone
moronic shadowbaby detected
how can it be overdone if it was choked and buried from the get go?
allag and ascians are all that exist isn't an 1.0 concept, its an ARR one
Ascians in 1.0 were side villains, the main threat were Garleans, and Garleans werent the moronic meme of 2.0 foward, they were nuanced asf
Gaius literally goes from fighting you to aiding you in stopping Nael because he thinks HIM was going insane, HIM, before it was retconned to being a girl.
all issues and shortcomings of the allag, garlean, ascian arc are because of ARR team trying to twist the plot into a more shounen route
If anything 1.0 lore had more in common with XI than current XIV
Even primals werent a moronic fake god trick by ascians, in the unrelease 1.0 Titan he literally suicides to rez the dead kobold back, they had a fleshed out personality when compared to this shit we got stuck with
know this, the team which fumbled that lore didnt change, they are the same doing DT, all your yoshi wiener sucking about a new story will not bring new fruits, because the same hacks will make the new story, so you will have a new allagan empire, a new garlean empire, a new ancient Black person, everything will be the same but with a new robe.
>No more 1.0.
Outside of the general regions, there's been basically frick-all from 1.0 in the MSQ since 2.0 reinvented the main storyline while winking & nudging at certain plot points many years after the fact (like bringing up Warburton in Stormblood as a DoH questline).

There was no point in this drawn-out story arc where I cared about Zero, so watching every single named character fangirl out about her after only knowing her for five minutes got increasingly annoying to the point that I started skipping cutscenes.
I haven't skipped multiple cutscenes in a row since all of the filler in Stormblood, so that's your review; it's been as bad or worse than Stormblood.
Hearing Moebrynda's parents visit the island sanctuary at max rank just has me guffaw. Fricking nobody gives a shit about that character, and they keep forcing it.
What the frick is the king's pact?
Schizobabble that likes to play off the syntax of old timey biblical translations.
>Emet-Selch was the first one to go "UHMMM, BET YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOUR SO CALLED GODS REALLY ARE, HUH?"
So, did he know? That they were constructs built by Venat/Hydaelyn to clean up his messes? How did he feel about it? Did it never occur to him that there must have been a reason why they only repaired and never actually stopped him from doing it in the first place?
So what grand mysteries are left, given this expansion as a whole felt like MGS4 where it just went through a giant checklist of explaining loose ends back2back2back instead of saving something for later.
The general idea is that they are closing up loose ends and filling in plotholes so they can move forward and make new story content without being shackled to 1.0 lore any longer.
We'll see how it turns out, they could just as easily be moronic and go right back to ascians and allagans.
They would have been better off if 7.0 was completely unshackled, and that includes returning characters. They had an opportunity to scale content/skills and make an expansion for once that doesn't require 300+ hours of MSQ before it to attend.
I'd like for them to just drop the sub fee and consider the game done. Move to a pay-per-update model instead for people that want to play whatever new scraps they release.
You could also just quit and pretend that they closed the servers.

That's my intent when this expac is over and I fricking clear TOP. Frick Dynamis Sigma & Omega. The game shot itself in the foot storywise stakes-wise, as nothing will prompt as much danger as what Endwalker introduced and dealt with, with us going to the edge of the universe and what not.
That's the whole point of this Zero arc. They're designing things so that people can eventually start the story at Patch 6.1. That's why a lot of the stuff on the First felt like a recap episode.
You are correct but the problem is that the Scions are too popular to leave behind, people even within these threads will have complete meltdowns at the idea of the WoL moving on to a new setting/story and not bringing them along. We still don't know the full story behind 7.0 so eh, maybe it'll be interesting enough.

Doesn't work because the scions are present, they themselves are spoilers, graha alone spoils a whole expansion.
>Doesn't work because the scions are present, they themselves are spoilers, graha alone spoils a whole expansion.
Anon, do you think someone who actively chooses to start in 6.1 gives a shit about getting "spoiled" on what happened before that moment?
>sub humans even within these threads will have complete meltdowns
Why the devs feel like they should listen to these mentally ill transvestites? its like the game is being held hostage by a dozen of discord socipaths, and the devs take their hrtrage as gospel instead of trying to be original for once
iam surprised that ishikawa had the balls to kill emet for good instead of making him a scion because reddit morons simp him
>They had an opportunity to scale content/skills and make an expansion for once that doesn't require 300+ hours of MSQ before it to attend.
Do you really want this game to have it's own version of Cataclism from WoW?
Spoiler alert! It doesn't work and everyone prefer the pre-cata version.
How you think they should deal with the job skills? I really don't want to go back to ARR BLM were I just do fire 1 until i need more mana.

I figure the baseline would require people be lvl50+ and job unlocked at the least. You level so damn quick in the base game these days that a standalone expansion shouldn't have to worry if you've cleared Praetorium as a baseline. Just make them deal with progressing MSQ until you've joined a GC and unlocked your first mount.
Anonymous
I think the main problem would be going from ARR to a new expansion. The players that start like that won't have any idea of what is happening.

It's why I preferred XI's setup where each expansion was self-contained, or had variations of a cutscene depending on your progress with another expac to account for you knowing an NPC, or the state of a given NPC. If 7.0 were to be stand-alone it'd have had to be a situation where we have 2.0 as the baseline, 3.0->6.0 as one MSQ, and 7.0 would be a different MSQ you could opt to tackle instead.

I think this would only work if there was a time skip. Like if the WoL got send to the future or was preserved in a static state for years, something like that.
>want to do the new content >try to muscle though the msq >see Zero tip her hat for the 200th time >lose interest >repeat ad nauseum
I haven't skipped a single story cutscene in this game, but this b***h is breaking me.
Zero and the 6.x patches are kinda of a litmus test. If you can stomach it without skipping you can stomach any story of any game, no matter how bad it is.
I literally only play this game to pose my female viera, miqo'te, and au ra getting dicked by a character I made to be my self-insert. When female hrothgar get released that'll be my next frickdoll.
I just love how the "Scions must die" squad just keep going on and on endlessly about how they're apparently a huge problem for the game and theirs is the actual popular opinion without actually giving a single argument for why they're bad for the game other than "I don't like them so neither should you" and then get mad when the devs actually cater to the majority that plays their game and not four homosexuals circlejerking in Ganker.
They are indeed better, but that doesn't mean that I want to always deal with them. I'm not saying they should die off, but the game would be better for it if we had a different adventuring group from time to time.
There we go, one of the Scion fanboys showed up and is now going to have a meltdown because someone dared bring up the concept of not having them in the story moving forward.
Note how the first thing the sad individual brings up is killing them off, despite no one saying that should happen.
there is nothing normal with a troony, homosexual.
you're not only dumb, but you also move goalposts and attack strawmen, you a dumb Black person that can't understand why so many people are tired of scions, I bet you post memes of graha eating a taco haha so funny epic meem updoots to the left
Anyone, the WoL could be free to make new friends that could be literally anyone or anything from anywhere or anywhen. The options are utterly limtless.
So do it. Who's stopping you? Not the Scions, if they did, you wouldn't have met a single character in the entire game, given you meet them first of all.
So you'd be ok with them putting the scions on the bench from here on out and these new friends taking their place?

How would this improve storytelling?

First you need to tell us which of the friends are worthy to become regulars and replacements. Also how recently they showed up is a consideration, is Erenville allowed to stay because he debuted in Endwalker or does absolutely every single character from 1.0 to 6.55 need to be purged in holy flames and forgotten about?

I think they could still pop in from time to time but generally yes I'd be okay with leaving them out for a while. We did "disband" after all. It's clear Thancred and Urianger have their own things going on that they're fine doing alone, and Y'shtola is perfectly content to be left to her cross world research. We don't need to drag them along constantly.
As for who, well new characters for one thing would be nice. As long as they're actually likable and well written unlike Varshahn and Zero.
And there's plenty of old faces too like Hoary Boulder, Coultenet, Fordola, Arenvald if he gets some new legs, and a whole host of characters who are currently exclusive to raid sidestories that could be adapted to the MSQ like G'raha was.
I just want some variety, for some of the less developed characters to become more developed, and for some of the more developed characters to earn their peace for a minute. A fresh start doesn't feel very fresh if we're still hanging out with the same now-veteraned cast we've been hanging out with for 10 years, especially after we just made a big deal of splitting up.

I agree. It was rather pointless to split up when we were all together again almost immediately after. The Scions don't have to disappear outright, just give us some other characters to frick around with. Even if they're as badly written as the Void series.

I never said the story would only be good if they leave though, just that we don't always need to have the Scions. The Scions aren't particularly well written either, they're barely a step above the 6.X series characters and were about the same level as Zero from ARR to Shadowbringers.

SE needs them because they need recognizable and marketable faces, and the playerbase wants them because of familiarity.
You're in the minority, mate. And you'll always be in the minority. You're not convincing anyone, you're not changing anything.

Oh, you must be new around here. See, there's been these patches, they were kinda lame, but they had these characters called Zero and Vrtra, they're not Scions but they've been our companions for a while. There's also this bunny guy called Erenville who is gonna be joining us for next expansion, and it seems he brought this femhroth character (that's a new race, in case you didn't know) who's also totally getting teased as a new companion. I know it's hard to learn these things when you don't play the game, but maybe you should try it before you criticize the story and try to make suggestions?

>How DARE YOU actually like the main cast in the game we're playing?! I don't like them so they HAVE to go! I haven't given a single reason why this would make sense in-story or how this would actually improve the game, it just HAS TO HAPPEN! >No, it absolutely has nothing to do with my personal tastes, it has to do with story QUALITY.
>about how they're apparently a huge problem for the game and theirs is the actual popular opinion without actually giving a single argument for why they're bad for the game other than "I don't like them so neither should you"
Now with a core cast of 9 that rotate in terms of relevancy, I'm not saying the Scions' writing and characterization is top-notch and there isn't room for improvement, but something I see a lot in those discussions with people arguing for a new group is that they don't enjoy how overall positive and amicable they are towards each other. It's why pre-development Fordola is a popular pick for a potential scion, even though she'd be AWFUL at it, and frankly the only reason why she'd work as a permanent companion is if she too learned the power of friendship and got nicer. They don't like the positive attitude, the friendliness, the willingness among the scions to talk shit out like adults when problems arise. They want more HW Estinien calling Alphinaud a naive little gay for thinking nice things can happens while ignoring the question of why would someone who doesn't agree with the scions'/Wol's ideals want to be around them regularly?
It's funny because half the reason I liked the Scions when I started playing the game was that for one fricking time I started playing an rpg well, as much of an rpg as this can be said to be and the party were actually a group of individuals with a shared ideal who could actually act reasonably about their feelings and differences instead of needing the player character to play babysitter for hours before they become tolerable. Even then they still had some in parts like HW and ShB like you yourself mentioned, just not to the degree of "misunderstandings into dramas" most rpgs go with.
I was sincerely hoping after the scene in 6.0 about going their separate ways for a bit, most of them would frick off for a few patches or even the rest of the expansion and start introducing and developing a cast of new characters instead of the token ~3-4 for each expansion that then promptly frick off, not having them all immediately show up in 6.1 barring the twins. I don't dislike them for the most part but I do find many of them boring at this point.
My pipedream was the twins wouldn't appear at all until the very end of 6.55 revealing they finally went through puberty instead of being just Alphinaud and Alphinaud (Female) still, but that would require time to actually pass in game and we can't have that.
>My pipedream was the twins wouldn't appear at all until the very end of 6.55 revealing they finally went through puberty instead of being just Alphinaud and Alphinaud (Female) still, but that would require time to actually pass in game and we can't have that.
You are right anon. that does sound like a pipedream.
One thing I don't understand about the "sundering" did venat make every ancient that got hit by the sundering lose memory? isnt that basically killing them? did she do that to everyone? even her friends? That gotta be hardcore.
Just as foretold, here comes the two anti-scion buttbuddies to have their weekly circlejerking session where they try to pretend like they represent the majority.
Myths made my heart pump, really felt like an end to this era of eorzea. Wish the final boss was a tad more chaotic, wouldn't mind an extreme 24 man one of these days.
Trial was easily the best end trial in ages.
Story wrapped up most things rather nicely. Think Zero's overall situation, especially regarding the thirteenth people on the 1st, could have been done better. The void is still a possible area to explore in the future. The entire thing was always a victory lap where we were resolving leftover plot threads in eorzea and it probably hit better for long-time players. If you consider EW as an ending to XIV, I'd consider it about as good as an MMO can get.
>Wish the final boss was a tad more chaotic
I was really disappointed there was no mix'n'matching of attacks of all of the previous fights in the tier.
EW was really polarizing in the writing department. At times there were some really decent/good moments, but then you have the absolute trash fire that is Zero and the Twelve finale. It really didn't feel like a victory lap, more of a way for them to dump as many plot points as possible so they can start as fresh as they advertised in 6.1.
They are STILL freaking out because someone dare mentioned that the scions could be retired and other characters could become the new adventuring party.
To be fair, this playerbase fricking hates when any characther takes the spotlight away from they WoL. It took years to get people used to the scions so there would not be too many complains.

There were people saying "the Scions' stories are already done they should leave" all the way back in SB. RIGHT before ShB actually made the Scions it's main focal point and succeeded hard in part because of it.
Now Square has literally already told us in advance that DT will be similar, that the Scions' conflict will be one of the focal points, and yet you've still got people insisting their stories are done and they should leave.
Reminder the expansion that introduced the most new characters and places at once, ShB, was also the expansion that revolved most around the Scions. That expansion also had two characters join the Scions as new additions.
This "No new characters can be introduced because of them" argument isn't just unfounded, it's straight up literally the opposite of what actually happens ingame. The vast majority of characters are introduced through them. Literally no one has introduced us to as many people as they have.

Content wise it was probably the most we've gotten for MSQ in all of the "Part 1" patches before it. But it just felt underwhelming. 13th is still fricked just like it has been since they suggested fixing it back in 5.X with the role quests, Alliance Raid was neat but didn't have the amazing music of the previous two and the bosses felt like baby mode with their extremely slow casts.
Extreme is neat but I honestly think the meteor mechanic is bugged or was barely tested.

way easier to make evocative concept art than an actual model
i doubt you can show me a model in any video game ever made thats better than its concept art
also applies to 2d sprites, if it has to move its necessarily going to end up being a lower quality artistic product than the raw interpretation of someones idea of a concept
I'm really interested in seeing how they handle the next story and where the overarching plot takes things. Endwalkers finale seemed like the logical way to end the story and start the next one off on a clean slate, when they balked at the idea of making that clean cut they put themselves in a really weird spot. They've attempted to end a bunch of side plot points but by not fully detaching this new story from the old one (same setting, scions, etc) it's already feeling a bit awkward, especially considering the massive ancient-washing they did to the games backstory and lore.
>the Scions are scattered and blamed for a coup, we need to find sanctum in Ishgard >Ilberd has torn down the wall, summoned a Primal powered by Nidhogg's eyes and we've been forced into war with Garlemald because of this >towers have sprouted across the entire world and everyone is being tempered to bring about the Final Days, we're going to Sharlayan to get answers on why they aren't helping
Meanwhile this is how we're entering 7.0
The weirdest part of all is being told hey no the story won't have another world ending threat immediately, and then it had another world ending threat immediately. Then we proceeded to take care of it with the energy and focus of a side quest, didn't even check in with half the scions, didn't bring up or utilize any of the half a dozen void plot points that already exist, and now oh by the way it's over lets go on vacation haha.
>Ok so, our job was to repair the world every time there's a calamity. But now that it's for 200% sure that there won't be new calamities, we're gonna allow ourselves to fade away. >Wait, but me, Y'shtola and Estinien are currently trying to stop a guy from causing one. Maybe you shouldn't leave before you learn whether we succeed or not. > ...what? Since when? >Since a while ago? Have you not been paying attention?
Man, they really did not take into consideration the possibility of the player doing the alliance raids before the MSQ.
EW ancientwashing old lore
patches botching the twelve and blatantly ignoring all existing lore regarding the void
along with yoshi's lie regarding DT being a new beginning and the scions disbanding in 6.0 just to be back up in 6.1 are proof enough that this game hit it's higher point, it's not a matter of hype anymore, its a lack of talent in the team to mantain the quality thruout the game, everyone praised it for its story, but if this, their strongest point fails to deliver so hard in so many ways all at once, what can we even expect from their weaker facets?
Yoshi can't just count on a prodigy dev rising up from the office boxes every xpac and bringing something new to the table, because there aren't that many ishikawas or sokens in general, and worst of all he doesn't have back ups in case things go awry
ishikawa proved to be a one hit wonder writer, but openly unable to handle a management role, soken melodic riffs are cool and all but he have no texture whatsoever his songs dont even have good counterpoints, eventually the wonder fades, the hype dies and what is there to carry the game? the whales are only just so loyal as the game's value, if the hype dies down and this isn't the hot zoomie game anymore people will move away, riot is making an MMO and they are known for being able to catter to these specific demographic, it wont be dyes, accessories, or lifestyle content that will hold the game value if riot's game offer it all but better.
so what do we have? we either close our eyes and sing tralalala while pretending everything is fine and ignoring the future, living in the present as teenagers, or we point it out and get called doomers and attacked by those who want to deny reality, ultimately the louder ones win and people who would support and promote the game get driven away.
at that point dont be surprised your ship is sinking and no one is throwing a rope your way, which way xiv? riot is knocking
>Femhroth NPC arrives >scions: "wow we've never seen femhroth before!" >meanwhile theres a dozen femhroth adventurers roaming the city and probably a femhroth WoL in talking distance
A normal expansion has all of .4, .5, and .55 to setup the next expansion. So far we've had a letter on a desk and an earring with .55 being the only buildup the expansion gets.
Why are so many people so angry that Dawntrail isn't an even bigger escalation of death doom and destruction? This isn't fricking World of WarCraft and we just ended a being whose song would end all of existence. A cooldown expansion without stupid-moronicly high stakes is what's needed.
It's an Avengers situation which they shoehorned themselves into. Everyone stayed tune for Endgame, and then interest for phase 4 afterwards was completely obliterated after due to fatigue. A more 'down to Earth" expac this playerbase has never heard of, especially in an MMO that went completely full balls to the wall Anime bullshit with the plot.
Interest for phase 4 didn't fall because of Endgame, it fell because every damn Marvel movie from Endgame onwards was garbage.
Except GotG 3. That's the only one I was still holding to and then called it quits for good after.
The postpatch MSQ could've been our cooldown period but we immediatly went to the void to prevent Super Zodiark from sundering the Source and it took all 5 patches to stop her. Now we're given a vacation letter and rushed out the door with zero explanation why we should care about Tural.
>summons triangles >OH MY HECKING SCIENCE, THALIAK IS A MATHS BOSS!
I don't get it. Every boss in the game is about dodging shapes, what makes Thaliak's so special? Did I skip a mechanic where he asks me if 1 is a Prime number?
I hope my mods works soon
Comfy and full of hope
I enjoyed it
these are my thoughts on the patch
whats the point in your posts? just changing the speed or size of the webm slightly so that people have to keep filtering your shit? why cant you just use the same ones over and over and not be a frickin attention gay
Because Pinklala is based on a scale that's incomprehensible
best it can do to garner replies when only two other people talk to it
just takes a literal dump here because it gets drowned out on /vg/
these threads would be saved with more attention prostitutes really just so the janny actually looks here for once
Healers should stick with simple dps options but be required to gcd heal more, a lot more.
SCH should have energy drain on a system like toxikon tbh. I don't think it would improve anything, but the reactions would be worth it.
They probably already think that is the case with WHM/SGE being the braindead ones and AST/SCH being the harder ones. The rework AST is supposed to get will probably cement their stance on healers going forward.
Ardbert is an idiot for passing up an opportunity to be with Lamitt
I wish lalas were this cute in game
>posts a gif
>gets plenty of people irrationally seething at it
>your seething bumps the thread

Sounds like you're being played like the fricking moronic autist you are.
Cooming in Y'shtola.
Also I didn't mind Zero as much ever since she dropped both her inconsistent af payments rule and the what are feelings shit that dragged on for too long, so it's a shame that all the actual good parts were at the end.
I like men
dc/world?
I finally hate the game enough that i stopped giving a shit about any and all aspects of it and its the most freeing shit.
welcome to wow brother, enjoy a real man's mmo
Nah frick that i went through the exact same process with wow. I think im finally done with MMOs.
don't let the door hit ya where the good lord done split ya
Personally I really liked it.
Especially the ending of Myth of the Realm, I really felt sentimental with Deryk.
After giving up on shirogane houses, I am now the only bidder for a comfy goblet small. Can't wait to get it, bros
I have all the decorations from my old house in dynamis so it's just an issue of waiting for the mods work again and place them with makeplace
which lot is it?

No circlet, but I'll manage.
Wow, you literally got the ghetto of housing plot
If it's a outside circle goblet

How does that happen lol
By devs not giving a frick about the game anymore
DT will be the last expansion before the next FF MMO is out and like XI it will be in maintenance mode
you have been saying this since shb doomsissy
keep coping for free
Frickers with their mods trying to blame the game dev of course
I'm not sure, but I had Vrtra randomly appear in the background during this cutscene, which I'm pretty sure was also a bug
That's not a bug, and Azdaja is hovering right next to him . He's supposed to be preparing to fly back to the planet.
I mean, he was trying to be polite by kindly waiting for the player and everyone else to finish having their conversation before ditching them to get back home quickly so he could finally have some alone time with his sister for the first time in 2000 years. he would've looked like an ungrateful ass if he just took off the second they popped out of that voidgate.
>taller than male hroth
where were these c**ts when bozja needed defending? if that's their actual size I will actually seether because of lore moronation

thank god I thought I was the only one who had this happen
trash like all of the other 6.x patches
How did Yoship hurt you this time?
I don't think Yoshida has even looked at anything about FFXIV since 6.0 launch.
Isn't that a good thing? Everyone turns themselves inside out screaming that he's the worst dev to ever exist.
>>>/vg/
The alliance raid made me cry.
Fricked up how a goblet is a designed shitting street and not a tiny goblin

Where the frick do I get a dalamud beta key
You don't need one, it's out.
Isn't there a new CC map? I've been doing a few matches and only the usual maps have come up in rotation.

I can't finish decorating it....

Wow, did you already grind that much or did you use a plugin to demo that armor?
It looks good without the helmet
He's flying there after coming back from the portal with everyone
Just use XIVAlexander
I just thought it looked strange because everybody there was talking about him as if he wasn't there, with him just flying stationary the entire time
Not terrible
Some good parts
Could have been better but it's been okay
the new /slump emote has high ERP potential
good for hypnosis RP or "drained of energy after sex"
I would do both of those to that lizard

Oschon chads won, I knew I would win bigly. But this probably the second best part 1 end of expansion .5.
Nothing will ever be as bad as shadowbringers snooze fest with gaysahi and zebore.
LEGS
FUZZY LEGS
>taller than the male hroth
Uhh...
Makes sense if they end up being similar to F!Roe. F!Roes are taller than M!Hroths.
That male hroth is likely min-height. My max height male hroth's hips are about the same height as those legs and male hroth have very stumpy legs proportionately. So it depends on where this femhroth stands on the height spectrum for their race but males will likely still be taller but only when they stand up straight.
HOLY FRICK SHE'S HUGE.
what is this?
they teased a fem hroth character during the 6.5 MSQ by showing only the legs.
Obviously people found the model with anamnesis, and it's only the legs because why the frick would they put the full body in the game
Lmao that's actually pretty funny that its only legs
>because why the frick would they put the full body in the game
It just means after all these years, they've learned to not put any assets in the client they don't want the players to see.
femhroth
are those characters min or max height
HOLY SHIT FEMHROTH JUST FLEW OVER MY HOUSE
he is gonna be DT end boss isnt he?
Yeah buddy.
I still want a bun bun gf
I realized I hadn't launched the game since July and finally uninstalled.
"But I'll have to reconfigure my mods when I come back" was keeping me from doing it for a while but I no longer care.
Who do i blame for WoL using azem's summoning everytime i fight something?
Me.
he's literally me
I clapped...
lmfao that's funny
you suck at prompting though
I wish anything regarding the Ancients is done and over for at least a while. Even a worse plot device than everything being Allagan. I also hope Zero has zero screentime for at least the whole next expansion.
I give up with this game, doesn't deserve my sub.
Gonna demolish my small house just so it doesn't auto-demolish. Been saving up for a mansion anyway.
Maybe I'll come back during dawntrail, but if its writing and content level is on par with 6.X I will probably never come back.
Honestly, I'm kind of sad.
troonygays begging ppl to keep renewing or else they have nowhere to roleplay as a lalafell girl.
HE IS RIGHT LOL
they made it so you can jump on mt corel again!
also, healers are fine. if you are bored spamming 1 button you're going to be bored spamming 3 of them. the game is designed to be played like a jrpg. of course its going to be easy in its story mode.
what i don't understand is why people want the game to be more difficult. its an mmo. mmo players are barely functional morons. look at worlo. that dude who couldn't beat the 5.1 rp instance. why do people want to be the biggest fish in the tiny pond, when there are far more difficult genres to play? or is it just the howling of a tiny but loud minority that demand the game be catered to them?
Hehehe I make people type word salads...
I will accept your concession.
The lalas just use this threads as shitpost and avatagaygin since no one wants them on /vg/ and you wonder why.
What are you talking about?
You could jump there before 6.5
I did it fairly often
The jump was very finicky, but once you got the hang of it you could do it in 1 go
>vouchers from island sanctuary can be sold on the marketboard
hope they're still pricey when I unlock them
>can't even quote people properly
>again
haven't played it yet, too busy
So how do you get it?
Can you buy it at max island rank alongside the polo or do you have to do some grind like you have to for the new mounts?
Oh yeah
this was TOTALLY designed for males, right?
Fricking prostitute in charge of glam in the game, man.
Stupid b***h can't do anything right. Someone should fricking rape her.
Anon, that's the Devout job outfit from FF3.
Dumbass.
nta but you literally proove him right.
The XIV version is the male version of the FF3 outfit, the one Luneth, Arc, and Ingus are wearing. The girl version is a dress. So no.
>nta but you literally proove him right.
The second character from the left is male, anon. And the other two guys still have the hood, they just wear it down.
Why do secondaries like you love to embarrass themselves so much?
Literally only healing gear is designed for females in this game, we used to have decent crafting glams sometimes, but m*les had to complain and now everything is gender neutral except for mogstation shit
I assume the tickets that you get from shipping the Furball's request. I should be done with the grind tomorrow to double check. Don't currently have access to his requests at R18.
NEW BAD
OLD GOOD
NOBODY PLAYED HARD CONTENT BACK THEN BTW DONT BLAME THE DEVS MAKING THE ENCOUNTERS BEYOND FRICKING BORING AND PREDICTABLE NO ITS THE 2 MINUTE META THAT'S THE ISSUE
THE SAME DEV TEAM THAT DROPPED BOTH P6S AND P7S IN ONE SITTING LIKE SQUARE HAS MORE THAN THE ART AND MUSIC TEAM TRYING PER PATCH
I'm pissed.
Unfortunately for you, I've already applied a chad face to greentext your whole post
>NEW BAD

>NOBODY PLAYED HARD CONTENT BACK >THEN BTW DONT BLAME THE DEVS MAKING THE ENCOUNTERS BEYOND FRICKING BORING AND PREDICTABLE NO ITS THE 2 MINUTE META THAT'S THE ISSUE THE SAME DEV TEAM THAT DROPPED BOTH P6S AND P7S IN ONE SITTING LIKE SQUARE HAS MORE THAN THE ART AND MUSIC TEAM TRYING PER PATCH
>NEW BAD
>OLD GOOD
Generally true, yes.
>DONT BLAME THE DEVS MAKING THE ENCOUNTERS BEYOND FRICKING BORING
I do.
>NO ITS THE 2 MINUTE META THAT'S THE ISSUE
This is a separate issue but still a big issue.
Recent decent fights:
>p2s
>p3s
>p5s
>p8s (though a bit heavy on bodychecks in p2)
>p10s (except for bonds)
>venat ex
>barbie ex
>zeromus ex
>some bits of criterion
There's still some good encounters this expac, and some rough ones in the past. But now we have this awful job design that's really easy to notice when you're doing your target dummy rotation for 8 minutes against an arena-sized hitbox.
>p2
yes, underrated fight too
>p3
no, even outside of orange shit it sucked, good adds phase though
>p5
yes
>p8
p1 yes, p2 lol hell no
>p10
yes
the rest is correct outside of criterion, ASS was great but Rokkon sucked
>p2 lol hell no
The high incoming damage was thrilling as a healer.
If you want good healer fights that do it better, go look back at O4S P2 with Almagest and E4S as a whole (which is still one of the best fights in the game and has a much better final phase than P8)
>running around the arena like a headless chicken with a thumb up your ass solving shitty puzzles is not fun.
thats not just half of the fight, thats all of every fight
>techno dubstep under the weight playing
>titan ditches the go-kart and becomes a hulking giant
that was a great fight
>he spits the little one back out as the Primals version of the song kicks in and now you're fighting both at once
I love doing old content where I only have like 2-3 skills. It gets worse every expansion too. I would love to do old stuff if I had my whole fricking kit unlocked.
I loved the 6.X patches.
I hated Myths of the Realm. What a let down.
Pandaemonium was the only 6.x storyline that didn't suck ass.
Total Zero death
So no deaths?
I went back to Vana'diel two patches ago
is crafting fun yet?
what's she planning?
To chat up my lalaboy in a smoky bar.
Holy shit, high definition toes.
>legs
>ass
>feet

>ass
>pussy
>no mouth to b***h and nag with
The perfect women. Makes sense Hrothgar hide them away.
>no breasts to suck on
>no arms to hold you
>no hands to jerk you off with
>no belly to nuzzle and lick
>no back to massage
You're pathetic.
enough woman to frick
not enough woman to annoy and nag
Never really liked the post-EW storyline.
The alliance raid ending was good.
The new trial and dungeon were fun.
>We'll need a tank to replace Vitra.
Thancred is back in 7.0.
>We'll need a tank to replace Vitra.
We'll just get saddled with the gaycat again.
What a shit show. Imagine how bad the threads are gonna be in a few months.
I'm shivering at the thought alone
>8 months of hell only briefly interrupted by Asura and fanfest in January
ehhh we get fanfest this month and it should last a month then complete degen + fanfest in jan and complete degen for like 5 ish month.
It'll ease up a little in a couple weeks for the EU fanfest, then go downhill until January with the JP fanfest and 6.55. Then it'll tailspin into utter sludge for the following 7-8 months.
it doesn't really matter what femHroth bodies look like because if they're bad mods will fix it
what really matters is how busted the face is
>he mods
Dump eet
only tasteful mods to give women some actual breasts instead of being B cups at best
uh huh
sure
So which section of Pandemonium are they holding these beasts?
I'm not homosexual enough to understand why that curly-haired catgirl with the DSLs is included in this. Can one of you explain it to me?
no idea the afro catgirl is pretty based and is a real standout. probably just
>kind of black? reeeeeeeeee!
WHY DO THEY ALL MAKE THEM UGLY AS SIN
Portraits or whatever should've shown you very quickly that the vast majority of people who play this game have shit taste.
nuh uh. you just can't comprehend my cuteness/coolness/funniness
>cuteness/coolness/funniness
>cuteness/funniness
>cute
>funny
whoever Black person-fied Hilda should be strung up and beaten with a stick
You gotta deal with the random floor attacks too but yeah, I hope some youtube guide that says to stick with branding positions gets popular enough.
oh no not the orange circles
jesus christ just follow the partner that has it
I don't get how people get confused, you can just follow the 4 corners like before...
Yeah. You can also resolve all mechanics using a single row since there's enough room for it all, so who knows which strat will end up becoming popular.
this is a braindead moronic fight. what do you think is "fun" about it? it's little more than a glorified punching dummy. do you even leave melee range?
>thought new tools were released with the patch
>6.51
I want my rod NOW
>tfw the writing team is slowly being taken over by Estiniengays
Everything is going according to plan
What makes you think that after we just spent the past two years with Estinien as wall decoration?
Prob because he was in the 6.x patches but he honestly didn't do much besides add some muscle to the group and take his shirt off.
The fact that he's been in these last few patches instead of G'raha being shoveled in.
9 Scions
Who gets shelved for the DT trials?
Just let the player choose.
Avoiding Graha every chance I get.
good chance hroth mommy will be a tank since we will be ditching varshan
We have Thancred and fujogay already.
Urianger and Alphinaud are guaranteed because they're the two healers.
Y'shtola, Alisaie, Krile are all casters. One of them will sit out (Alisaie, God willing)
We still have two tanks without Varshan because of G'Raha. I wouldn't be surprised if the hrothgal is the job representative for the melee job.
I want the job representative for corsair to be a dickass rival pirate that follows us around creating problems with his crew of dumb goons.
we already have that in pugilist, warrior, paladin, thaumaturge (kinda) and blue mage
He's standing on the back of the boat anon.
That's just that fricking blue haired pirate that they keep forcing on us in Endwalker that gets paired up with the ishgardian loser. He doesn't deserve main character rights.
Do you realize who voices him? He's here for good.
No, who does voice him?
JP: Same as Estinien
NA: Same as Zenos
He's voiced by Zenos' VA. They'll keep forcing him.
Every character is forced.
This cove's askin' for a right Millin' he is.
Better him than that stupid literal who bunny boy. They even gave him some dramatic entrance scene in EW like I'm supposed to give a frick.
whoever occupies the same role I guess.
I can't wait to travel with her
if I had to guess, it'd be Y'shtola. if Green Mage or whatever Krile is turning into is a dps, Krile could then pull the same role as her, including being the smart one that can read mechanics due to the echo
Y'shtola. She will make a return to the First.
check out this video essay about ff14 lmao these morons are so dumb
video is good, but who is going to watch 2 hour of fricking talking lol. he even got like a 3 hours hermes video that has 300k views wtf guys lmao
The last time i skipped a MSQ cutscene was in ARR. Holy frick this story was bad.
Shatter being deleted from the game when?
I wish they'd bring back old shatter, it was mediocre but this new one is absolutely vile.
The map feels way too cramped and small now
I also hate the routes to the big crystals now
Shatter just sucks in general because no one wants to PVP, they just want to smack crystals because of the way it's designed
If there were fewer crystal nodes around so you'd actually be forced to fight over them it'd be slightly better, but as it is you can basically go 90% of the match without even getting close to either of the other teams.
I enjoyed it
Did you get your Zero handshake?
It was very endearing, I'm going to miss her until we go back to The 13th
Hey there, Aether Friendo.
Hi
yes, heres hoping the next exploration zone is the 13th with zero and golbez as the guides
I didn't realize she was such a fricking womanlet. I'm min height for a Dudelander.
FYI, the Rank V renovations for Workshops gives 12,000 EXP each, and then completing the last Vision (everything upgraded to max) gives 20,000 EXP. So 68,0000 out of 100,000 from Island Rank 19 to 20 is covered.
Shame it takes like 12 hours. I can get pretty close through grinding.
oh no no no you braindead cucks are actually going to stay subbed for the next 7 months for a recolor of a mount lmao
Of course, I got fish to catch
I've been playing it since 2010, I know the patch cycles. I have a bunch of goals to work on, currently doing all Zeta relics, halfway done doing all Animus books.

Thanks, where do I get it?
Youtube
Good to know, looks like max rank isn't tomorrow but maybe the day after
Do you need to be rank 19 to initiate the workshop upgrades?
Yeah, Granary is 18, Workshop is 19.
ah ok thanks, i was hearing workshops didn't have upgrades and was a little confused. Looks like a long night ontop the mountain for me.

You'll have to come do it yourself, if you have the courage.
That's not what suicide means, manbreasts. Dumb homosexual.
Since that'll never gonna happen, you'll have to take matters into your own hands.
>LEON
>FRICK MY SISTER LEON
I came to this planet specifically to get away from you, fricking leave me alone!
ah, my goddess
wow fake c cups
you're a fake c cup
shes not going to frick you
Okay how do I automate island sanctuary, like literally just have my character bot around and do everything, what application do I use.
Not only that, what if the WOL dies to something like the Black Rose again? Granted, in that AU they obviously didn't do shit either.
>To all of my children in whom Life flows abundant
>To all of my children to whom Death hath passed his judgement
>The soul yearns for honor, and the flesh the hereafter
>Look to those who walked before to lead those who walk after
They finally let go of life not just because they finished their job, but because they were tired and wanted to let mankind carve its own destiny.
Frick your facts and critical thinking, what I think is facts and I despise Yoshitpiss for ruining everything about the Twelve.
IDK how anyone could think the Twelve would stick around after they basically said "yeah we hear your prayers but we don't answer them because we literally can't" in 6.3
Listen, when the WoL shows up, at least one god has to die. He just got a bulk discount this time.
If you want a setting were Gods are caracthers directly involved with the story then go play D&D.
>it's okay for japan to shit on the concept of gods
>Why does the franchise were a bunch of mortals always end up killing some God, at the end of the game, doesn't respect my western definition of God.
they always have
you know how many jrpgs involve killing some kind of god or deity?
Name 10
Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy X
Wrong on all counts, none of those are gods.
Who are you to tell anyone what is and is not a god?
XI, you kill him twice actually
You only kill him once. In CoP the mission is to stop him from dying.
They're mad because they interpret the writing as being anti-religion and by extension anti-Christianity.
>why do you even care if they weren't party members???
They're fundamental aspects of the setting I've been invested in for 13 years. I wouldn't have cared if they weren't real, I would have even preferred if the question was never answered in the first place. The point is that they were revealed just to be killed. It hits me in the sense of "The setting is finished, that's all. Only new stuff now. No more 1.0."
>This is pretty much the way the Final Fantasy franchise has always treated Gods
7, 11, 12, 13, and 15 all have genuine gods in their settings.
Take it to /misc/ you moronic homosexual.
12 also has a whole thing about mankind freeing themselves from what they consider to be divine influence
>They were flavour text for the capital cities and nothing more
There's a LOT more lore to the Twelve than that. But no more.
>but there is no real divinitys on 7, 12 or 15
Minerva, the Occuria and Lucavi, Bhunivelze, Pulse, and Etro.
>Minerva
I don't think she is a God, just a avatar of the "will of the world", the closes thing every FF has of a real god.
>the Occuria
they call thenselves gods but they don't trully act like ones. They get they asses handed to then by some humans.
>Lucavi
They aren't ever explained. They are probably aliens or extradimensional creatures. In FF14 Ultima is a alien.
>Bhunivelze, Pulse and Etro.
Have yet to play FF13, so i can't give a opnion yet.
>a god is not a god because I say so ok, i will move goalposts because iam a reddit atheist moron
>Lucavi, They aren't ever explained.
ARE TOU moronic? DID YOU EVEN PLAY 12? ofc not
I know the Lucavi. the story call then demons and they posses humans as hosts and are the servants of Ultima. that said there isn't anything about then that suggest they are different from any other supernatural monster in the FF setting. They are for ultima what the ascians are for Zodiark, ther isn't anything divine or sacred about then.
>I know the lucavi
>talks the most shallow info you can find in XIV
you know nothing, poser
I played the game from start to finish and there isn't anything divine about the Lucavi. Sorry you read too much into then.
Read the bestiary next time. And play FFT. Ultima is the Lucifer of Ivalice, an angel who rebelled against the gods. The other Lucavi are angels who joined in the rebellion.
>I played the game from start to finish
If you wanna talk about literature, I suggest you try reading the book first
They're 'divine' because they were created by genuine gods as holy servants, and they were corrupted through various means or baited into rebelling by Ultima, who is an angel.
With that said, I accept your concession
>I don't need to explain shit because you are dumb so I win.
I'm not even a atheist I just don't expect a japanese game, were teens get to kill god at the end, to take the concept of god seriusly.
No one really needs to explain it, yes, if you can't understand why Occuria are essentially gods, you are too dumb to have any discussion with.
A bird will never be able to understand astronomy no matter how hard you try, and if you do try, you're an idiot aswell.
And as I've said, you prove the point
>I'm not even a atheist I just don't expect a japanese game, were teens get to kill god at the end, to take the concept of god seriusly.
you simply can't grasp any connotative nature in story telling because your american education didn't taught you how to read or interpret text or context
Dude, japanese people aren't into religious symbolism like westerns are. You have works like Evangelion were there is heavy abrahamic symbolism, just because the author tought it looked cool and exotic. You may be more invested into it than the devs are.
>JP dont symbolism
anon...
Isn't Minerva just a humanoid version of the ultima weapons? I would not call then gods.
She's the embodiment of the Lifestream, basically the planet's avatar.
If yoshi wasn't such an airhead with wanting to abandon all 1.0 lore, this could've been so much more than everything is a dumb ancient ideological argument
All 1.0 lore should be abandoned, it's old, busted, and overdone, let's move on to something new.
>overdone
moronic shadowbaby detected
how can it be overdone if it was choked and buried from the get go?
allag and ascians are all that exist isn't an 1.0 concept, its an ARR one

Posts like these are why people AFK
There was no point in this drawn-out story arc where I cared about Zero, so watching every single named character fangirl out about her after only knowing her for five minutes got increasingly annoying to the point that I started skipping cutscenes.
I haven't skipped multiple cutscenes in a row since all of the filler in Stormblood, so that's your review; it's been as bad or worse than Stormblood.
Hey now, I liked the 10 times story characters had walk in freezer IQ so Zero could shine!
Hearing Moebrynda's parents visit the island sanctuary at max rank just has me guffaw. Fricking nobody gives a shit about that character, and they keep forcing it.
Schizobabble that likes to play off the syntax of old timey biblical translations.
I like Zero
I love Zero
Zero is smart
Zero is strong
Zero is cool
Zero is a great character
Zero is a great addition to the team
Zero!
Zero!
Zero!
zero is literally poochie and i look forward to hearing in next patch that she died returning to her home planet
Pretty good.
Zeromus EX was a lot of fun to clear.
Did it never occur to him that there must have been a reason why they only repaired and never actually stopped him from doing it in the first place?
he prob knew. I can imagine it made him seethe. Especially Menphina
So what grand mysteries are left, given this expansion as a whole felt like MGS4 where it just went through a giant checklist of explaining loose ends back2back2back instead of saving something for later.
Simple, you continue on with new stories, new places, and new mysteries.
So what you want them to do is completely throw away everything and everyone from before Dawntrail.
Yes, that's the entire point of having a second place to start the game.
>sub humans even within these threads will have complete meltdowns
Why the devs feel like they should listen to these mentally ill transvestites? its like the game is being held hostage by a dozen of discord socipaths, and the devs take their hrtrage as gospel instead of trying to be original for once
iam surprised that ishikawa had the balls to kill emet for good instead of making him a scion because reddit morons simp him
>They had an opportunity to scale content/skills and make an expansion for once that doesn't require 300+ hours of MSQ before it to attend.
Do you really want this game to have it's own version of Cataclism from WoW?
Spoiler alert! It doesn't work and everyone prefer the pre-cata version.
game already have lvl sync
wanting a game that scales doesn't mean redoing old zones and assraping them
they just needed to make the new xpac lvl synced so new players could choose to start there or at arr
it's not a difficult concept to grasp
How you think they should deal with the job skills? I really don't want to go back to ARR BLM were I just do fire 1 until i need more mana.
I figure the baseline would require people be lvl50+ and job unlocked at the least. You level so damn quick in the base game these days that a standalone expansion shouldn't have to worry if you've cleared Praetorium as a baseline. Just make them deal with progressing MSQ until you've joined a GC and unlocked your first mount.
Like if the WoL got send to the future or was preserved in a static state for years, something like that.
>want to do the new content
>try to muscle though the msq
>see Zero tip her hat for the 200th time
>lose interest
>repeat ad nauseum
I haven't skipped a single story cutscene in this game, but this b***h is breaking me.
Zero and the 6.x patches are kinda of a litmus test. If you can stomach it without skipping you can stomach any story of any game, no matter how bad it is.
ever read something that gets the hair standing up on the back of your neck?
I literally only play this game to pose my female viera, miqo'te, and au ra getting dicked by a character I made to be my self-insert. When female hrothgar get released that'll be my next frickdoll.
how did Gankeralt land this
>tattoos
I just love how the "Scions must die" squad just keep going on and on endlessly about how they're apparently a huge problem for the game and theirs is the actual popular opinion without actually giving a single argument for why they're bad for the game other than "I don't like them so neither should you" and then get mad when the devs actually cater to the majority that plays their game and not four homosexuals circlejerking in Ganker.
It took them 7 years to give the Scions some kind of personality.
So? You should be glad that they're better now then.
>Scion fanboys
You mean the normal playerbase of the game? Yeah one would think it would be easy to find someone like that in a XIV thread.
there is nothing normal with a troony, homosexual.
you're not only dumb, but you also move goalposts and attack strawmen, you a dumb Black person that can't understand why so many people are tired of scions, I bet you post memes of graha eating a taco haha so funny epic meem updoots to the left
You will
NEVER
EVER
be a woman
You should have a nice day
NOW
>NO UUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!
Tell us who you want the Scions replaced with. The name of their organization, their race makeup, their personalities, their jobs, etc.
Anyone, the WoL could be free to make new friends that could be literally anyone or anything from anywhere or anywhen. The options are utterly limtless.
So do it. Who's stopping you? Not the Scions, if they did, you wouldn't have met a single character in the entire game, given you meet them first of all.
WoL is constantly making new friends.
So you'd be ok with them putting the scions on the bench from here on out and these new friends taking their place?
Ok but why should they do that?
>Even if they're as badly written as the Void series.
Went from "The only way the story could be good is if the Scions leave" to "I don't care if the game turns to shit and is badly written so long as the Scions leave".
I never said the story would only be good if they leave though, just that we don't always need to have the Scions. The Scions aren't particularly well written either, they're barely a step above the 6.X series characters and were about the same level as Zero from ARR to Shadowbringers.
Excuse me, but Urianger is based especially when he's being moronic keikaku man.
Doubly so when the antagonists are so moronic his moronic keikakus work.
>The Scions aren't particularly well written either, they're barely a step above the 6.X series characters and were about the same level as Zero from ARR to Shadowbringers.
Don't try to backtrack out of the fact you just said you don't care about the actual quality of the story as long as they're not there.
I know it's hard to learn these things when you don't play the game, but maybe you should try it before you criticize the story and try to make suggestions?
>you must eat this turd sandwhich before telling it tastes like shit sweetie 🙂
you talk like an aids infested homosexual
If you're not interested in playing the game, I'd suggest you move to another thread, and don't make suggestions when you don't know about the topic you're trying to engage in. Thanks and see you around anon!
>if you don't like what I like leave
go cry in your discord hrt group you hemorroid
this game is in a dire state and homosexuals like you act like yoshi farts don't smell
I hope that one day your low intellect spine acts up and make you realize that making a product the sum of your personality isn't a good thing you mentally ill homossexual
>>if you don't like what I like leave
Oh the irony.
You're the one that sits here all day long b***hing how you don't like the Scions and want them to leave so surely everyone must feel the same
doomsissy
please
you do it for free every single day
take a break
Why do the Scions make you shit yourself in rage so hard?
apparently cultist ESL don't understand proper language and think that criticizing a moron acting like a karent equals disliking the scions
are you even capable of proper thinking?
do you realize how offputting this estrogen tantrum of your kind is offputting to people? do you ever wonder why big streamers ditch this game and why no one watches your pathetic queer dj streamer?
Are you done screaming random buzzwords and worshiping trannies, child?
are you really calling other people ESLs?
Black person come on. read your fricking post
>SCIONS MUST DIE!!!
tbqh Graha should have really eaten that .45ACP round
>about how they're apparently a huge problem for the game and theirs is the actual popular opinion without actually giving a single argument for why they're bad for the game other than "I don't like them so neither should you"
Now with a core cast of 9 that rotate in terms of relevancy, I'm not saying the Scions' writing and characterization is top-notch and there isn't room for improvement, but something I see a lot in those discussions with people arguing for a new group is that they don't enjoy how overall positive and amicable they are towards each other.
Zeromus sucks ass to farm at least I only have 14 left
One thing I don't understand about the "sundering" did venat make every ancient that got hit by the sundering lose memory? isnt that basically killing them? did she do that to everyone? even her friends? That gotta be hardcore.
fartz
I'd play FFXIV if I could make a character like this
balls deep ejaculation with penis captivus on a viera while suckling on her nipples and sniffing her hair for hours until unstuck
Just as foretold, here comes the meltdowns because someone brought up the idea of moving forward without the scions.
Just as foretold, here comes the two anti-scion buttbuddies to have their weekly circlejerking session where they try to pretend like they represent the majority.
Who's "melting down"?
I like viera
The females look like their momma hit the wine too hard during pregnancy
How so?
gimme bunny girls
gimme bunny boys
gimme gimme gimme bunny
here is your body positive 2024 xiv race
>everyone who disagrees with me is one discord raider swapping every post with airplane mode!
Bros... I miss my redeemed wife Zero.....
Where is the hairy armpit? you had one job
They are never getting rid of the Scions. Especially Yshtola.
Oh boy yoshit piss cultists are mad anon really hit the spot
epic burn, they'll never recover from such pwnage
How do you feel about Middies?
Big fan.
cute/10, would bond one, i wish middies were real
My EB is a middie and she’s great and I miss her
They are cute
Wish they were real
Middie boys are hot
No we’re not, we’re cool but not really
want to nuzzle his stubble
Game needs more buns.
>The only way the story can be good again is if the Scions leave.
>Why'?
>...
Hrothgals!
LalaBlack folk are insufferable.
They are STILL freaking out because someone dare mentioned that the scions could be retired and other characters could become the new adventuring party.
insane
To be fair, this playerbase fricking hates when any characther takes the spotlight away from they WoL. It took years to get people used to the scions so there would not be too many complains.
samegay
lol
?
why are you pretending to be me?
Yikes anon, I never use that theme, don't try to act like I'm me. I mean, you're me.
What the frick are you getting at
Reminder the expansion that introduced the most new characters and places at once, ShB, was also the expansion that revolved most around the Scions.
How hard/easy is the new EX? Can I safely blind it or should I do everyone else a favor and look up a guide?
It is a shame we could only see the femhroth legs
Also sex with bunny women or something like that
is this AI? is too good taste for commissioners
those candies, nice touch
nah, looks like ingame model, or at least the head and heavily photoshopped body + candies
Its modded ingame + photoshop
artist name?
kill off the scions and replace them with their doppelgangers from other shards who have different personalities
>unlimited fps
>game tries to blast off to like 300 fps for no reason as my pc screams
>limit it to 60 since titty physics is best at 60
>game stutters between 30-60
MAKE UP YOUR FRICKING MIND AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
get a better ps3
im on a fricking 4080
i dont understand how it can go full fricking moron if i try to limit the fps
Cap its framerate in your GPU drivers
The built in frame limiter is fricking moronic.
Do it in your GPU settings.
Games engine shit
I have top tiee pc and yet many npcs makes frames shit themselves while playing games which are more demanding and spawning millions of entities barelt affects me
Game's limiter is fricking busted on Win10/11 in borderless. Shit basically acts like it's limiting off diving the actual current framerate.
Eg. 144hz monitor, the 1/2 mode would bring it to 72hz, but if it's hovering around 90fps, it gets shot down to 45fps with the limiter on.
>free players have access to half of the game
>subscribers have access to nothing if their sub lapses
This is why you make a free trial account for downtime.
I mean, assuming you even want to play in between subs. Now that they're adding SB I will though, I fricking love SB trials and raids.
>finally get to lvl 19 in island sanctuary
>don't have the garnet to level my workshops
>Head off to a faraway land
>Make new friends, some temporary some permanent
>Spend the next 10 year arc building up that connection and having their personal arcs slowly exposed and worked through
or
>Thancred shows up
>Comments on the fact that he's not really needed
>Stands around and makes a few quips
>Leaves until the next dungeon
See here's the problem with your post.
You added an "or" where no "or" was needed.
The second instance he posted is literally what happened twice already in EW.
And it didn't stop us from making new friends and preparing to head off to a faraway land, did it?
The best part of this patch is the cool PvP gear
I dyed mine yellow.
i don't like new sets
For me, it's Royal Blue on a mix of A type and B type as a tanking glam.
BIG SOFT TACOS
OH BIG SOFT TACOS
OH BIG SOFT TACOS
SO BIIIIIIIIII-IG
Why did Amaurot and Dead Ends succeed while Lunar Sanctum fell flat? I honestly think storming Golbez's Void Castle would be cooler than fighting goblins in a generic fantasy town.
Better writing
Amarot and Dead Ends were the capstone for their respective MSQ. I'll take Golbez's Wild Ride over Paglth'an from last expac.
Having three dungeons where you relive the dying moments of a civilization is a little much.
I thought Lunar Subterranae was cool.
>saves your patch
I played 12 and I genuinely could not tell you the story.
I think it was about escorting Ashe to Arcadia so we could convince the evil prince to stop invading Rabanastre?
Holy frick I hate the duel system so much it’s so SHIT to farm shitty fricking mobs, spawn a CE, don’t get hit, have someone steal the duel and die instantly, come back ONE FRICKING HOUR later, hit some shitty mobs, spawn a CE, get hit this time, have to wait a fricking HOUR, come back in an hour, hit mobs, spawn a CE, don’t get hit, some gay fricking jacks the duel again, come back ONE FRICKING HOUR later, hit some mobs, spawn a CE, everyone dies, die to a solo stack marker
What the actual Black person were they thinking bozjagays this y’all’s content, the most insanely time gated shit I’ve ever seen.
Skill issue, get lost actions/essences to survive the solo stacks
“No”
duels are made for good players
you're obviously not one
I have all the zadnor duels done, only need Lyon 1 and shart because spawning the CEs takes fricking forever
The 12 lore is shit
Cute lalafell slop.
concept art lalafell
have some concept art tarutaru instead
Why is concept art always so good and the final product is always unoriginal shit?
way easier to make evocative concept art than an actual model
i doubt you can show me a model in any video game ever made thats better than its concept art
sounds like 3D modelers just suck big dick
also applies to 2d sprites, if it has to move its necessarily going to end up being a lower quality artistic product than the raw interpretation of someones idea of a concept
I wish we had FFTA moogle instead of lalafell
kill hunt trannies
behead hunt trannies
stick a hunt troony into the S ranks mouth
>the Scions are scattered and blamed for a coup, we need to find sanctum in Ishgard
>Ilberd has torn down the wall, summoned a Primal powered by Nidhogg's eyes and we've been forced into war with Garlemald because of this
>towers have sprouted across the entire world and everyone is being tempered to bring about the Final Days, we're going to Sharlayan to get answers on why they aren't helping
Meanwhile this is how we're entering 7.0
That's how you know shit's gonna go wronger than ever.
It was a filler arc. Stop overthinking it because they really, really didn't. This was the Garlic Jr. saga of XIV.
Yoshi can't just count on a prodigy dev rising up from the office boxes every xpac and bringing something new to the table, because there aren't that many ishikawas or sokens in general, and worst of all he doesn't have back ups in case things go awry
ishikawa proved to be a one hit wonder writer, but openly unable to handle a management role, soken melodic riffs are cool and all but he have no texture whatsoever his songs dont even have good counterpoints, eventually the wonder fades, the hype dies and what is there to carry the game? the whales are only just so loyal as the game's value, if the hype dies down and this isn't the hot zoomie game anymore people will move away, riot is making an MMO and they are known for being able to catter to these specific demographic, it wont be dyes, accessories, or lifestyle content that will hold the game value if riot's game offer it all but better.
so what do we have? we either close our eyes and sing tralalala while pretending everything is fine and ignoring the future, living in the present as teenagers, or we point it out and get called doomers and attacked by those who want to deny reality, ultimately the louder ones win and people who would support and promote the game get driven away.
at that point dont be surprised your ship is sinking and no one is throwing a rope your way, which way xiv? riot is knocking
i'm not reading all that so good luck or I'm sorry that happened
Not reading your schizopost
there's still more plot in .55 to set up the expansion, dumb Black person
>Femhroth arrives
>"Yo homies go help out the kang"
>"Ok"
>Roll credits
>I'm mad at this situation I've made up in my mind
ok
Im not mad at it though.
>Femhroth NPC arrives
>scions: "wow we've never seen femhroth before!"
>meanwhile theres a dozen femhroth adventurers roaming the city and probably a femhroth WoL in talking distance
Every time man.
Though it can't be worse than a viera WoL getting vierasplained by Fran.
A normal expansion has all of .4, .5, and .55 to setup the next expansion. So far we've had a letter on a desk and an earring with .55 being the only buildup the expansion gets.
It's real fricking strange.
not particularly. what did we know about stormblood between 3.5 and 3.55?
>more plot
part 2 are always short
what plot will happen in 3 quests?
femhroth will show up
invite you there
quest ends with a ship
enjoy waiting 10 months for DT
I can't believe an FFXI beastmen boss is a focal point in 7.0.
>summons triangles
>OH MY HECKING SCIENCE, THALIAK IS A MATHS BOSS!
I don't get it. Every boss in the game is about dodging shapes, what makes Thaliak's so special? Did I skip a mechanic where he asks me if 1 is a Prime number?
>DUDE PYTHAGORAS
people keep doing drive by pets on my lala
