Literally any other answer is wrong and this is coming from a Snoy fanboy. There’s just TOO MUCH SOVL packed into this thing. GB, GBA and DS games all in one. It’s like the megaultra final form of Nintendo handhelds ALL RUN NATIVELY with no emulation.
The customisable themes, badges and streetpass are the icing on this amazing cake. There’s just so many good Nintendo handheld games that were specifically made for it. I love that for example, can play all the GB, GBA, DS and 3DS Castlevania games without fiddling with emulators on my PC or phone.

Too many Vita games render at low res and just linear filter the image up to 544p unfortunately.

PSP is unironically a better GBA emulator than the 3DS
DSi is a better GBA emulator than them both.
TwilightMenu++ GBA Emulator is great and you get 1:1 pixel aspect with some borders but it looks really good.
So much so they use a DSi bottom screen in GBA ITA kits.
just use open_agb_firm, it's not an emulator it uses the actual GBA hardware in a 3DS. you don't get the extra bells and whistles like cheats and stuff but you can fiddle with settings and swap out saves, it fixed the issues i had using mgba

I would rather play DS games on a DSi XL and play Game Boy games on GBA than playing them on 3DS. I don't really like 3DS game library or how it feels. They also make every DS game look garbage by default.

Switch is the best. It could *almost* emulate 3DS fully. Meaning it could almost play literally every Nintendo handheld game ever made. But just didn't eek enough power for full speed.
But a hacked Switch 2 will be the best Nintendo handheld ever. It will be able to play everything from Nintendo ever made except WiiU I suppose.
