Phone is worst faction and always will be Speeder.
Yeah everyone knows the SupCom Faction Coolness progression is
Aeon (moronic cultists who commit genocide for no reason) > Cybran (Seething endlessly about fake slavery and getting backstabbed by their own giga-AI) > Seraphim (based actually following the tenants of your religion, also genocide as a tool of spiritual self-defence) > UEF (WHY CANT YOU ALL JUST BE NORMAL?!) in that order exactly.
Anyway, best red faction is Core in TA if you ask me. Immortality and the most giant of robots makes for a good combination.
>What the frick are they supposed to be anyway?
It's Speeder's pet faction because he wanted to make a bunch of toys that could do all the cool stuff that ARES lets them do without bloating the other factions.
Nah, Generals is objectively good. RA2 is still my favorite, but aside from how fricking ugly it is and the less than original setting, Generals is good because of it's gameplay. In later times when everything had to be super PC, has made me retroactively a lot more appreciative of even it's setting and how it is presented.
it's boring. if you're on challenge mode the only way to really beat the ai is to turtle and superweapon spam. at least in ra2 it's somewhat different because you cant build more than 1 superweapon.
If I remember correctly you can turn super weapons off in both games. Also, why are you bothering with challenge mode when multiplayer and skirmish are right there? Also, I remember doing other things in challenge mode.
generals doesn't have a disable superweapons option. only an option to limit the build limit to 1 per player. also generals doesn't have an option to make oil derricks unkillable which makes some maps ridiculously hard.
Still, the scale that Generals tends to work with, one super weapon is hardly that strong and with the amount of options for air strikes and artillery and general frickery, you have a decent shot at taking it out.

one superweapon isn't enough to win the game for you in ra2 either. it just makes the game much easier because you can destroy his power with it and then siege his base while the ai cant do shit.

A single super weapon is generally more impactful in RA2 than in generals to my experience.

in generals as long as the ai has a command center up it will continue to spam dozers and scaffolds, meaning you'll never win unless you bomb his base to shit and kill every dozer until he cant build anymore. if you're fighting gla it's even worse because even if their CC is destroyed, they can still build workers from the supply stash. even worse nukes against gla don't work that well.

That's just I like to handle AI when playing USA or Allies. Just methodically taking them apart. First kill their command center or constructrion yard, then their dozers or war factory to prevent them from building another, then their unit production buildings and then finally wrap up the last of them. All the while trying to minimize casualties. I generally don't remember the AI being very difficult and I pretty much played exclusively brutal in RA2 and Hard in Generals. It's been a while since then because I've had problems getting my PC to run the games properly. I tended to turn super weapons off in RA2 though, because I prefer just chilling instead of being on the clock before getting 3 nukes, 2 storms, an iron curtain attack and a chronosphere attack dumped on me all at once, because they do like to prioritize the player. Even 1v1 I feel I have to rush him before he gets to nuke me asap and then the game ends too quickly. Generals I tended to just go with no super weapon restrictions because they just don't have the same impact. The scale of Generals easily just being set to maximum frick with is probably one of my favorite parts of that game.
Hell, when playing FFA with full brutal/hard AI, I have sometimes just left it at completely crippling an AI before moving on to the next so they still keep each other busy without the ability to expand.

i think killing his war factories first is the best move since he cant send units anymore, but the command center is obviously the most important target.
foehn is fun but yuri is better
red guys>anyone else
this is true for any RTS faction
This tbh.
Cybrans ftw.
soibrans are the exception
Phone is worst faction and always will be Speeder.

Why not put them in the existing units instead?
china is the future
>Play as multiple different factions during the campaign.
>Your color is always blue. Enemy color is always red.
generals is shit
i agree, weakest in the series after c&c4 imo
it's just generic modern weapons rts
still has nothing that can come close to its modability
what makes you think generals is nowadays more modable than yr with dlls?

peace through power
Is it pronounced like “phone”? Why is it such a stupid name?
educate yourself, amerimutt
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foehn_wind
Yep, gonna name muh futuristic teal faction after an obscure atmospheric phenomenon.
the faction uses wind manipulation so it fits
Actual Chadmerican here, we were asleep when that was posted. Your obsession with us is killing your mind.
>Shitting on OG factions just to promote some OC garbage
Worse than EA
Literally impossible
at least they didn't recycle generals factions for the 99th time like the others
>B-But muh Generals!
Why are RAgays like this?
get killed
seek chemical inhalation
>Why are RAgays like this?
Because ROTE is gay
Loki
you know what would be funny?
that someone hooked me up with a torrent for generals deluxe, to try it out haha
No need, still have the original disk.
foehn is just a knockoff of phantom, though at least mo team was actually able to release it
Pretty sure Speeder talked about adding a grey-themed army that had wind stuff long before that never-ever was announced.
I like Generals
