Final Fantasy
Disagree.
Disagree.
Agree.
Agree.
wrong
I feel like a lot of people don't like modern Final Fantasy games because they innovated into something so far away from what the series used to be.
The Elder Scrolls
Bethesda games, of course.
Pokemon.
This.
Might and Magic series.
Pokemon
Dragon Quest
>started out as brilliant revolutionaries, BTFOing their contemporaries and changing the face of the genre forever
>now a hollow husk of its former self with only occasional breakthroughs hinting at their former glory
BioWare, Bethesda, and Square Enix are all acceptable answers
>>started out as brilliant revolutionaries
how did they start out as brilliant revolutionaries
By revolutionizing brilliantly.
Kirby and Ditko raised the bar for comic book artwork and Stan Lee gave superheroes more character depth and personality compared to anything that came before them
It's Assassin's Creed, the most soulless game series of all. Former stealth game that quickly abandoned any pretense of stealth and turned into simple action game in sequels. And then after success of the Witcher 3 it abandoned all that made it unique and turned into shitty Witcher knock off they keep releasing every year. And only kids or utter normalhomosexuals are able to play it.
It's not Bethesda since they keep doing their own unique thing nobody else does and aren't fricking releasing anything for years.
It's not Bioware because they are utter meme now and lost all respect. Nobody likes them anymore.
Weebshit series save for Souls ale literally what nonexistent garbage people aren't even aware of.
Obsidian, Larian and those other small rpg studios are too small to count. Out of these most popular are Larian because of their capeshit like atmosphere and quips in their games, but still they are too small
So the correct option is only Assassin's Creed, older and always popular mainstream series with tons of shitty low quality games in it that are being constantly shit out every fricking year.
>It's not Bethesda since they keep doing their own unique thing nobody else does and aren't fricking releasing anything for years.
Re-releasing the same game time and time again is if anything even worse. They absolutely abandoned all creativity and innovation and became soulless after Morrowind.
Assassin's Creed is another good one, though I feel Bethesda's influence and popularity come much closer to Marvel-tier than AC.
Dragon Quest
Every single modern JRPG. You know I'm right.
