People think Anakin is supposed to be ridiculously powerful, but they don't know that his abilities are purposefully being stunted by his Vader suit as part of Palpatine's plan to keep him from overpowering him at some point. This is why Luke also managed to overpower his dad despite not even having enough training to be comparable to that of a Jedi Knight.

Giving into the Dark Side gives you immense power, and that power is addictive. It feeds upon itself. Luke overpowered Vader by allowing himself to be swayed by his fear and his anger.
The Dark Side is a malevolent, corrupting force that's difficult to fight off, it's not just resisting normal urges.
I mean Star Wars is very dumb, but Luke gave in for a moment but turned out good afterwards (before Disney raped him). And then Vader shows a moment of redemption, as well.

Depends heavily on the continuity but it can be safely assumed most Masters at the temple would have been too much for the 501st themselves so he must have done the legwork, just look at Yoda and Obiwan tearing their shitup when they return. Also him hunting the Jedi who survived the purge would bump up his kill count before ANH.

I'd assume about a tenth of the Jedi were at the Temple due to the declining intensity of the war so Probably around a couple hundred.

This game really got body by it's storytelling, not the story itself. It had good potential and the "bros on a road trip" vibe was fricking kino.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about that. The overarching storyline is a clusterfrick. It's a more enjoyable experience just putting the expanded universe, including the main antagonist, out of your mind. Just focus on the primary plot of Noctis, and by extension his three friends. That story is where the scene in question culminates and can catch you off guard.
The character DLCs are good, particularly Ignis', and now that they're integrated into the game it's largely irrelevant to mention, but I played the game on launch and it still hit me.
I had no idea what the frick was really going on in the plot. All I knew was, contrary to their largely generic anime designs, Noctis & Co. felt like real characters and went from a gang of friends on a roadtrip, to tragic circumstances that lead to a war happening somewhere else, to some fricked up shit they had no real part in causing but had to feel the consequences of, accepting responsibility for their predecessor's actions, getting pissed at each other, etc... It's just a really solid hero's journey, but with an ironically convoluted context for said journey.
The entire game feels like playing a constant first act whee nothing happens then before you know it it's too late and your railroaded into th3 endgame.

Not all the blame lies with Anakin. From the first time they met, the council filled his head with the idea he was going to be a prophesized savior and a ludicrously powerful Jedi. Then they proceeded to show that they had absolutely no idea how to train someone with such unprecedented affinity with the Force and just trained him like any ordinary Jedi.

The entire point of the Jedi is that they're blind to their own hubris. Just look at the KOTOR games. The Jedi Council tried to manipulate Revan into coming back to the Light Side of the Force, and then tried to literally kill the Exile like a bunch of sperging morons.
