What is the most mid game in existence. A game that is literally so average it defines 5/10. None of this "it does x great but y poorly so it's average overall" like no, a game that is entirely average the whole way through in every aspect.

Slopfield
Jedi Fallen Order
fifa?
Lords of the fallen
Skyrim
Fallout 3
Outer Worlds.
I would have preferred an actual bad game, it turns out mind-numbingly average and uninspiring is actually less enjoyable to experience somehow.
Agree. In theory it should be representing a genre I love, but everything in it is just serviceable at best. Combat? Acceptable. Writing. Ehh. Story. Ehh. Quest design? OK, I guess? Jokes? Ehh. Skill trees? Ehh. Area design? Ehh.
I mean, it has nothing completely broken or shit-tier bad, but there’s so very little to get excited about.
So basically it's your regular Obsidian game except without the benefit of Chris Avellone writing it.
My most mid game is The Ascent
doom 2016
sounds like the bethesda special
Pretty much every Japanese game. They're always so "paint by numbers". There's no innovation. No soul. The gameplay is always the blandest of the bland recycled shit. It's always just "How can we pander to otakus?" and that involves lots of colorful particle effects, excessive hitstop and underage waifus and that's it. Same thing over and over and over again.
But enough about sony gay movie slop
>Sportsball [Current Year]
First thing that came to mind. It isn't a third person shooter, it is THE third person shooter. It has a single gimmick, which is scripted destruction of reinforced structures. They tried hard with the motifs and story to make it sophisticated and while that may add a modicum of intrigue, it isn't anything that you couldn't put down. Interesting setting, visually banal. It's something that you can play and not even bother to form an opinion on it by the time you're done.
Days gone ps4
Skyrim
>frog
Dogshit thread.
Pepe and apu posters were here before you and they will be here after you, hating them being posted is outing yourself as a fricking redditor
>Pepe and apu posters were here before you
How fricking new are you, zoomer?
Tales Of Symphonia
it's the mid mark of all the Tales series in terms of quality
Any of the gimmick shooters from the 360/PS3 era that had one novel game system defining the entire game. Fracture, Haze, Timeshift, Brink, etc.
I was thinking this.
Its like everything that saw Halo and CoD then tried to copy what made them good at the time without understanding why some things worked for them but on in other places. That most everything from Ubisoft once they moved away from Prince of Persia.
every ubisoft open world game
The most average game would by definition be the most popular game as it would attract the most audiences by virtue of its lack of specific focus
Something like Tetris or Minecraft, essentially
Bulletstorm easy
uncharted
ass creed
Fallout 3
The Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon game for the Ps2.
It was only "Kind of" fun and that's it.
Sonic Superstars. It's the definition of mediocrity
every GTA game
I'm tired of people acting like these games are anything but glorified sonyslop games before that was a thing.
