bro you are moronic, there’s no difference, and if there was it’s pointless, there’s not going to be anything new lol, will you be able to interact with 99.9% of the environment? no. will you be able to make your own weapons out of all the clutter everywhere? no. will there be explorable areas has give access to new strategies and items? no.
At least Skyrim Special Edition had the excuse of moving to the 64-bit engine which was ultimately huge for the game's stability and moddability, along with combining all the DLC into one package to permanently negate the common issue with the base game of modders often having to make separate versions for installs without Dawnguard/Dragonborn
TLOU is console shit for black people so it doesn't have that excuse
I heard it was a litmus test to see what they could feasibly get away with at a $70 pricetag. I skipped the initial Remaster on PS4 because I felt they would eventually do this. Not sure why people feel it's unwarranted. The age and jank is definitely present. People are acting as if it hasn't aged at all.
Because people buy it.
Not hard to figure out OP. Companies goes where the money goes.
I'd say it's the culmination of the experiment they've been pulling off since SOTC remake. going from that, testing the waters to see the demand of a 1:1, purely graphical "remake", then to Bluepoint's Demon's Souls, charging 70, and now this.
It took like 5 years to make and 100s of people. They priced it to what it's budget was. I don't think Ganker realizes how much work goes into game dev, especially AAA gamedev where the starting salary is at least 50k for a noob out of college.
>It took like 5 years to make and 100s of people
Lol no. It looks like TLOU adapted to run on TLOU2's engine, which is just an upgrade of the previous engine anyway. Even the UI is exactly the same. You can't compare this to something like RE4 remake which is clearly the entire game rebuilt on a completely different engine with new animations, textures, etc.
I don't know why so many people think it's some masterpiece of storytelling. The story is alright I guess, but the gameplay is so far detached from the type of story it wants to tell that it makes it worse. TLoU would unironically be better as a movie, but the script is too bad to be successful as a movie
you mean a zombie apoclaypse drama where the characters are in danger in their journey to find a safe place where they can live a normal stable life without having to be in constant panicking and shooting?
I hate how liking a game and thinking it's good means you think it's a fricking masterpiece. The gameplay is extremely competent even before you touch on what the narrative is attempting.
The DLC comes with it and they added a bunch of collectible shit that would've otherwise cost money on PS3. If you take into account every single change you could nitpick enough to justify the extra $10.
Aside from bots what's the issue? It's just battlepasses with cosmetics. It also means the playerbase wouldn't have to have purchased a $70 game people here don't seem to want to pay.

Just getting on the project but its got several modes with the main one being a battle royale. It also has 2 v 2, 3 v 3 etc mode that starts off with the teams in the middle of a gunfight. Pretty big map of North east San Francisco, supposedly more are coming the year after it releases. Map has a lot of high ground, water, a giant cruise ship, Coit tower. TLOU2 mechanics are all there including new ones like wall kicks to get to higher ground. There are optional objectives each time you load into a map that involve doing stuff like getting a radio tower relay system working or collecting supplies and storing them in a stash for your people at home. I think they wanted a 40 man cap in the battle royale so its more close up fights. They have stuff all over the maps to be able to nope the frick out of fights like pushing over cabinets to slow down pursuers, but its a team game (also has solos) so you are expecting to flank them and cut them off when they do that.

SOTC remake did far more to modernize its original version and yet only cost $40 at launch.
It literally just is a model update, nothing else has changed anon.
I'm guessing what's costing Sony all that money is remaking all the pre-rendered cutscenes so they can play out in-game. That 10 minute propaganda video mentions "seamless" transitions between cutscenes and gameplay and pre-rendered video cutscenes aren't as viable now like they were in the PS3 days.

They have the skeleton of the original game, along with the voices and art direction, all done, plus current technology, and the cost is definitely less than having the game done from scratch.
>PS4 was $60 at release >you say game for $10 more for less content is fine >in doing so this confirms the $60 for the PS4 title was on your mind in thr first place
moronic apologist.
No you can't justify the 80 europoor dollars price tag. Considering this game is a remake that doesn't change anything about the level design and the gameplay, you can assume that there's almost no design effort going into this game apart from updating the assets they already had.
This is one of those remasters larping as a remake. Nothing has been recorded, nothing has been mocapped, nothing has been edited. It's using all the files of the originals with 2s assets. It's a remaster.
It's not a remaster it's a backport. A remaster is more like Demons souls remake where it's the old code running untouched. This is TLOU2 systems shoehorned in to TLOU with things like prone disabled.
>a remaster is like the demon souls REMAKE
Remaster = higher res same textures, fps and res bump, maybe some qol, but generally just the slider from medium to high

That's not how it works anon and the large majority of "sales" were just giving the game away for free with a purchase of a ps4/5.
>the cost is factored into the purchase of tne system
Degrading English alert.
Anyway you clearly don't understand so let me explain as someone who worked retail the year it released in limited capacity obviously.
Basically when we have an overstock of games, it's usually ps4 games, we're told to give them away for literally free with console purchases just to get rid of them.
They aren't real bundles and you often get a choice of game, one time it was no man's sky and Uncharted 4.
4 million sold in the first weekend
your cope about bundles and discount dont work, and neither does muh refunds since sony does not allow them
you are just a pathetic moron
>Same gameplay, no improvements >Models swapped to TLOU2 versions >"Target 40fps" >Story revisions (to be more woke) >No multiplayer (best part of TLOU1)
That'll be $70 (80€)
Regret ever defending the first game, because now that Naughty Dog and Sony are a Last of Us factory this board is going to be shit up every time there's a remaster or remake or remastered remake or TV show or movie or spin off or prequel or remastered pre-sequel to the movie or remade remastered sequel to the spin off of the movie of the show of the reboot.
I hate everyone who worked on this shit.
It's the Resetera's most played game. It doesn't need any external skills except than for the player to be docile and medicated. This is why the so called cinematic experiences are so popular. Gaming is not about games any more and haven't been for a long time.
Last of Us is the only card they've had for almost 10 years, it recieved universal praise and the suits are going to beat that horse for all its worth. Dunno why they are choosing to die on the Part II and Cuckman hill though, I can't think of a single person who liked it.
It appeals to the biggest group of people. Idiots.
fpbp
Honestly It probably isn't the worst game though.
game was ok. not sure why someone would want to play it more than once, though. also i cant tell the new graphics apart from the ps4 remaster.

lol blind or lying man. the graphic are night and day
it's barely different. the ps4 version still looks very nice. why are you defending this $70 cashgrab anyway?
No they're obsessed with money like any other company. Re-lauching a popular game is easy money. i.e. Skyrim

Basically when we have an overstock of games, it's usually ps4 games, we're told to give them away for literally free with console purchases just to get rid of them.
They aren't real bundles and you often get a choice of game, one time it was no man's sky and Uncharted 4.
maths am I right fellas
>Even if that was at $12 dollars that's still nearly 1.2billion profit
4 million sold in the first weekend
your cope about bundles and discount dont work, and neither does muh refunds since sony does not allow them
you are just a pathetic moron
>Same gameplay, no improvements
>Models swapped to TLOU2 versions
>"Target 40fps"
>Story revisions (to be more woke)
>No multiplayer (best part of TLOU1)
That'll be $70 (80€)
Wish it ha LoUII combat mechanics.
they need more PS5 games out NOW and not in like the 4 years it takes to make a AAA game now. doing a remaster is cheaper and quicker
But I can play it on my PS4 for cheaper and with more content. Why would I buy it for PS5?
Cry all you want chuds. You WILL buy this game day 1 and you WILL be happy.
I can just wait half a year when it's 2/3rds off.
because they have no other games.
They've already paid for all those GOTY awards so morons actually belive it's a masterpice.
HBO are making a tv show out of it so they had to update the game with new graphics
I hate everyone who worked on this shit.
>racist, sexist morons cry about a game that they could simply ignore
>it’s the developers fault!
Bro what?
It's all they have
4 if you count the HBO show
It's the game that defined the sony exclusive template
That was Uncharted 2
They overestimated its value and let Druckman go full moron with part two.
Now they're living a sunk cost fallacy.
>AHHHH WHY IS SONY SO OBSSESSED
>spends the entire day reeeeing about it
yeah sony is the obsessed one....
>that cover size difference
They’re not even hiding it any longer huh
>Sony’s obsession
Sony’s obsession? Sony fricking obsession?
How about the obsession of all the homosexuals that buy this shit
They only do this because homosexuals keep buying it
>fans of a series but games from that series
What? This… this can’t be?!
What does that have to do with anything i said
It's the Resetera's most played game. It doesn't need any external skills except than for the player to be docile and medicated. This is why the so called cinematic experiences are so popular. Gaming is not about games any more and haven't been for a long time.
Yet I bet you jerk off to shit like Red Dead 2 or the MGS series.
i bet he's a bit fan of homework excel simulator games
Last of Us is the only card they've had for almost 10 years, it recieved universal praise and the suits are going to beat that horse for all its worth. Dunno why they are choosing to die on the Part II and Cuckman hill though, I can't think of a single person who liked it.
I liked Part II
I mean it's their magnum opus and one of the best games in history, they sure as hell are going to milk it.
Nice larp
