They're like Monolith except they're mutants who live in caves. They were supposed to be included the abandoned mine west of the northern gate in the Red Forest but they were cut.

I always start as ecologist for the friendly relations with everyone but mono sin and bandits. Then i eventually just become a free stalker still doing odd jobs for the scientists so i kinda pretend im that guy with the mutated monkey daugther and zombie dad from roadside picnic

I really hope the new warden faction has some big twist to it because i'm really not looking forward to them, they seem very out of place for the setting and in comparison with the other factions.

Making the seemingly only new faction just a duty/army hybrid is lame as frick, especially with how similiar the two already were. Now we have 3 "muh order" factions instead of something new and unique.
I think they will differentiate them, secondaries to the series somehow think that Duty is just Army but in red uniforms and aligned with stalkers, when they are stalkers first with few loose connections to army.
I can imagine Army just sitting with finger up their ass on border and not letting you leave, while Guard is actually deeper in the zone and checking your permit if you are allowed to be there, while Duty just tries to make lives easier for everyone except mercs/bandits/freedom/mutants/monolith and just doesnt get involved into stalker business
also iirc there was another faction from the leaks, but I am unsure if I am remembering it correctly so consider this BS until proven otherwise. basically there was this image that was a vertical alignment chart, from top to bottom it was axis of "order" and "anarchy" with factions like duty, guard and army being placed up high but in separate rungs, while on bottom you had stalkers, bandits and freedom among others.
