Projection. Skyrim is THE rpg that is accessible to vrill lacking bugmen and brown swarthoids. Morrowind filters out all non-aryans. I dare you to find me proof of a non white who beat morrowind

Dunmer culture is inspired by Hinduism and Hindi traditions (stylized, of course). It is definitely "aryan" as in the original meaning of the word, which judging by the first half of your post, you know nothing about.

Morrowind is completely inspired by abrahmic religions you brown dork

              Anonymous

Morrowind is heavily inspired by the Vedas and Hinduism (stylized by Kirkbride to make the Dunmer feel more "alien" compared to the human races), you non-brown cutie

Vivec always gave me a Hindu vibe

The modern Indians didn’t invent Hinduism you idiot moron. The ancient aryan invaders brought Hinduism into India and assimilated into the brownoids after failing to maintain their racial caste system, whereas when they invaded Europe they genocided every single man and took the women.

              Anonymous

The Vedas predate human civilization. Aryans weren't "white" or "brown" in the same way that you think of modern day races and ethnicities, hence why I pointed it out.

                Anonymous

Verbal transmission, vision quests, etc. The vedas literally explain this.

Boomers will seethe because the screen isn't 50% menus and the game has actual animation instead of 4 pictures that cycle.

(Heavily modded) Skyrim is great, but I can still appreciate the charm and style of these older games. You can enjoy apples AND oranges, broheim.

Only one I've ever managed to complete was Legend of Grimrock so I guess that but I'm not sure why I liked it enough to finish it. I usually stop playing them after 5-10 hours but I do enjoy them for the time I play them. I recently picked up a bunch so maybe I'll find another I like.

Morrowind and STALKER Anomaly. As for other non-RPG fantasy games; HeXen, Heretic, Ultima Underworld, Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah, Delver, King's Field, Shadow Tower Abyss. What else, oh yes, Arkane's entire catalogue except their recent Black person simulator. Prey (2017) is a phenomenal experience and Dishonored 2's level design is pure 200 IQ kino, I can't believe a troony made it, holy frick - a troony made it. Prey has way better art direction than Starfield too.

But yeah, something about those brooding, low res textures, dark fantasy games just pulls me in. Wrath of Cronos mod for HeXen/Heretic is kino especially when paired with the Cult of Despair wad. Fricking delicious, definitely my kink.

Here's a sample of the Wrath of Cronos mod (ignore the soihomosexual commentator, it's the only video I can find):

They're very far from Morrowind, all they have in common is having a first-person camera. That's it. Arx Fatalis is probably the closest.

Technically Everquest but if we're talking grid-based blobbers, then Eye of the Beholder.
Both games win by default as I haven't played many of them.
Skyrim is a 3rd person game to me, always feels really awkward in 1st person mode.

None. I've never played a good first person RPG in my life. Arx Fatalis came close, the rest is garbage.

It was always Morrowind for me, but I think after playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance that might have edged it out. I'll always love Morrowind's setting, lore and world building, but KCD is more fun to play.

Is the GOG version okay or should I try out a source port. I want a vanilla experience, no crazy overhaul.

        Anonymous

GOG is fine I'm sure. Don't do the port, the different rendering makes the game uglier imo. Some people b***h about the original's controls, but you'll adapt quickly and be dancing in combat with the just the mouse.

You may want to look into emulating MT-32 for the best music experience (or using a comparable soundfont), if you care about that sort of thing.

Is the game supposed to make random sounds every time someone walks or does something. I don't remember that when I played it as a kid with my dad.
