Baldur's Gate 2 has you go into a sewer within the first two hours of the game, and inside of that sewer is not only a kobold party that will hold and rape you, but another adventuring party that is twice your party's level at the game's start. Even if you bypass all of that, you immediately walk into monsters that permanently drain your level. It's stupid.

I absolutely love the maps in KC:D and Red Dead Redemption. They are both detailed enough and they genuinely reward exploring the world. Being able to pull up a map and go "oh hey I ran past this before" or look at one then like 3 hours later go "that looks like the place from that map" not to mention the treasure in KC:D is genuinely good shit and not just random garbage or a bunch of cash.

I loved this game for like 2 years, stuck with it for another, and then dropped it. It went from a terribly balanced but super fun game unlike anything else, to a decently balanced game with a good mix of characters, to tf2 levels of ruined art design with all the shitty effects and cosmetic options. When they added the chinese warriors is about where I left, it just had become a shell of what it was and the fun it had been. I did like Black Prior, that was maybe after they added the chinese, but nothing else was good. Last I heard they added a pirate who is both some random asian chick and uses guns, which makes me feel glad to have jumped ship before dealing with that shit. RIP to good times with Lawbringer, Valkyrie, and Centurion.

I played the singleplayer so much I could do it with effortlessly on the highest difficulty with disabled UI indicators. But when it comes to online my performance anxiety hits too hard and I couldn't even force myself to click play more than a handful of times. One time I was playing Shugoki and caught a Peacekeeper by surprise with the bear hug, then fumbled the fight hard after that and lost, I never played online again out of shame. So I just replayed a bunch of the singleplayer and left it after that.

I loved this game for like 2 years, stuck with it for another, and then dropped it. It went from a terribly balanced but super fun game unlike anything else, to a decently balanced game with a good mix of characters, to tf2 levels of ruined art design with all the shitty effects and cosmetic options. When they added the chinese warriors is about where I left, it just had become a shell of what it was and the fun it had been. I did like Black Prior, that was maybe after they added the chinese, but nothing else was good. Last I heard they added a pirate who is both some random asian chick and uses guns, which makes me feel glad to have jumped ship before dealing with that shit. RIP to good times with Lawbringer, Valkyrie, and Centurion.
