No romhack has added missing Pokemon into any of the gen 8 or 9 games.
Luminescent Platinum (BDSP hack) has gotten the furthest with some proof of concept showcases, but still far from done. The amount of work required is pretty huge.
What exactly ridiculous about this? The game's programmed in C++, building off of older titles for the last 23 years.
It's not like they're reprogramming the entire game, like they did for the first three generations.
Yeah, it's a lot, but no one said you had to allow all of it online, just that it was an option in singleplayer.
I fully support national dex, but only in a game with no trading, no ability to transfer in. put all 1k+ pokemon in one standalone game like PLA and let people collect them all like they claim they want to do.
asking for every gimmick to come back every game cumulatively is on the same level of unrealistic as wanting every region back every game. you think it's as simple as just bringing back every gimmick without any other consideration
That's quite literally what they did for Megas in Gen 7 though. It was a completely optional side thing that was brought back with absolutely 0 consideration.
That's also basically what happened from Gen 2-4, with some exceptions like the apricorn balls.

Basic reciprocity for putting up with bullshit like event fomo for 20 years. If they did every little thing to get as much money as possible out of people collecting Pokémon the LEAST they can do is make people's collections fully usable including Pokémon optimized to use previous gimmicks.

Crazy how they’ve backed themselves into a corner for demographics that won’t engage in their product. Honestly have to agree with some that making a separate Battle Revolution style game with the Nat Dex and regional gimmicks as game modes would be neat. Make it easy to train any mon you obtain in game or import to perfect stats and IVs.
