That's literally what they did, they fricked their own product. The audience for turnbased games hasn't changed, just the greed of squeenix. They deserve to die.

It also doesn't help that instead of writing a compelling story most companies lean on waifuhomosexualry to sell their slop.

the reason I fell of of Final Fantasy was because it took 5+ years to make anything after FF10, and the end result wasn't any better than the ones that were "rushed" during that golden age of ff7-ff12 or so
