Nothing. Still hyped.
What killed the discussion is various news on other games and discord trannies concern trolling about the game about 10 threads a day with the exact same "Dragon's Dogma 1.2" and "I love it but" in every thread to make you know it wasn't a discussion thread but a shitpost.
what killed the hype for me was that it looks exactly like a DD1 remake because its the exact same story again. Also that they came out in an interview to talk about being pro-ESG. This will be just like DD1, except worse in every way because it will be censored as frick, with so much QoL that the entire world will just be static and a guided theme park, with characters that are going to be diverse and forgettable.
lack of commitment to making games itself. they're just looking to get by on the good grace of the original like Capcom is doing with all their franchises at the moment. they have a zero tolerance policy for risk at this point
it's just token sequels and remakes with little to no passion or excitement because Capcom is just daycare for burned out directors and artists who have no higher aspirations than working at Capcom for the rest of their lives and squeaking by, by playing it safe kinda like Disney or Marvel or something like that
they still make worthwhile experiences but the soul is completely gone. now there's just guilt left for associating with this soulless corporation, just like all those others
this isn't a Resident Evil thread
they didn't add Sekiro parrying or QTEs to this DD2, you can say that about Capcom's other bullshit and you'd be right, but not DD2.
>couldn't even lobby room for a new script in the budget, had to reuse the old one..
nah, I'm right. this is not a big bet for Capcom, they're not marketing like it and they're not adding anything particular to make it more successful than the original. it's just another safe bet, another way to keep people in the company working and the wheels turning without doing anything scawy to rock the boat just like I said
as a company they're completely spiritually dead. now after 10 years of mismanagement the best they can do is letting their son to be geriatric creatives from the last century do the same thing over and over again on responsible but moderate budgets
it's already been confirmed it takes place in an "alt universe" where the original never happened, it's the same dragon same shit. are you really coping by pretending it's a brand new experience just because some of the characters are gonna change?
like we aren't gonna fight the seneschal at the end? I have a feeling you wouldn't bet money on that
I would bet money.
It's stupid to think that just because the setting follows largely the same worldbuilding, the story itself is going to be the same.
That is pants on head moronic.
Every FF game from 1 to 15 follows the same formula too, every story is completely different.

well you would lose badly then
the whole point of grigori is that he's some angel sent by god to test you. that's why he's named from the fricking bible. if you think Jap directors are actually gonna rewrite their worldbuilding autism over the slight inconvenience of directing the same story twice in a row you're delusional
>Beastren don't look very good >Minimum height is much higher this time
These two things combined mean no kemoshota arisen for me and reduced my hype. Still my most anticipated game since Wrath of the Righteous
Time.
Women on the cover.
*farts*
Hack director that is over-promising on what he can deliver.
Nothing. Still hyped.

Having an announcement and trailer 12 years before release

Wow. The most incorrect post on the board this year.
Incredible.

going out with a whimper
Interesting that you know the story of this game that isn't out yet, I guess your uncle works for Nintendo or something?

Nothing, you insufferable fricking autistic neet losers have made it not fun to discuss games people actually enjoy here
Black person on the cover
cats are the Black folk of animals
Normal gays only care about clout and muh hype, they aren't interested in an actually interesting game like Dragon's Dogma 2

Mandatory malware
>discord shitposter sees the positive thread is still up and active, and pre-prepares a new "general" with a negative OP that he'll link everyone to
Why is this not a bannable offense?
Why are these types of people so common on video game forums? Every single game has its own specific Discord schizophrenic.
>implying it's more than a few guys shitposting every game
Because they don’t exist.
Playing the first game.
>worrying about the opinions of others
IT'S ME AUSTIN
IT'S ME AUSTIN
IT WAS ME
ALL ALONG
AUSTIN
It will come out on the same day as NicoChado's game. That's what killed the hype.
Well I'm still hyped.
