Though honestly the way they all have one-track minds, show a complete lack of care for others, spam dumb questions, cry about how their DM doesn't allow Tarrasque PCs etc is weirdly cathartic sometimes.
It makes me glad I don't have to deal with them at my table. Other games have literal built-in gatekeeping.
What breeds such autistic, focused hatred for a specific game system? All of the editions certainly have their problems, but not enough to draw this kind of ire. This is like going into every wargame and 40k thread and posting "REEEEEEEEEEEEEE STOP PLAYING 40K", or something to that same effect.

See in principle that isn't wrong, but when OP brings up terms like "Level" and "Class", it's safe to assume he means one of the most well known and recognized systems ever made. If I ask a question like "What's a good tenth level fighter build", I can reasonably assume that the average poster knows I'm talking about D&D.
The use of general terms doesn't automatically make the question about a specific system, no matter how "recognized" they are.
It's that flawed line of thinking that makes rejects call everything they don't like anime and video games in spite of their actual inspirations and obvious differences in media.
That aside, there's plenty of other places on the internet to grope yourself to echoing D&D praises back and forth. Don't want to post in those places? Be prepared to see shit you won't like.
>general terms
Those are specific D&D terms. I hear cleric and I think D&D, because it's the most common context in which the term is used. If OP is referencing something else, he should specify and not b***h when people make a leap of logic in the absence of clarification. >That aside, there's plenty of other places on the internet to grope yourself to echoing D&D praises back and forth. Don't want to post in those places?
When did I do that? All I did was agree with the principle while disagreeing with the practical application of said principle. >Be prepared to see shit you won't like. >he said, having entered a D&D thread specifically to b***h and shitpost about how just because OP is talking about high level clerics doesn't mean he's talking about D&D, shut up
>specific D&D terms
Level & class aren't exclusive to D&D; other games use them. >I hear cleric & think D&D, because it's the most common context
No, you think that because you seemingly know nothing about clergy. Alcoholics talk about how much their drink takes the edge off, yet when I hear about alcohol, I don't think about how it takes the edge off; I know there's a separation between what something is/does & how the lowest common denominator feels about it. >If OP is referencing something else, he should specify & not b***h
This is true. You know what else is true? If OP is referencing D&D, he should post in the tons of other places on the internet to grope himself to D&D.
Which I literally said as a general statement applicable to anyone who wants to do that. Which you misjudged. So that's cool. >When did I do that?
You, specifically, didn't do that. I was making a generalized statement. Saying "you" can be used to make generalized statements; considering the major point of the conversation is generalized statements, I figured that wouldn't be too troublesome to understand. Guess it was. >All I did was agree with the principle while disagreeing with the practical application
General terms & statements are general terms & statements, regardless of the 5mind's perception. It's as simple as that; this standard is universal. Giving D&D credit for shit it isn't responsible for is just as bad as giving other things credit for shit they aren't responsible for. >"no u"
It's funny how people keep citing the ubiquitous nature of D&D as a defense, yet conveniently forget there are plenty of other places to circle jerk about it; general threads on this board & discussion boards on the internet. Yet, it has to be here, for whatever reason. They want to talk about how tasty processed hotdogs are to a group of physicians & nutritionists, expecting to not get shot down with opposing facts & viewpoints.

This is pure, unadulterated cope, man. >What level does a cleric have to be to summon a plague of frogs?
Oh, damn, I guess anon might be talking about GURPS because he didn't SAY D&D!
What's so bad about a plague of frogs, anyway? It's not like they're a threat to crops or livestock, if anything they'd be good to have around when the plague of locusts arrives.
In d20 there was a class that did this. It wasn't a spell, but it was an act of God. It required a pretty high amount of piety to request it, if I remember correctly.
10
All Moses was doing was using the Divine intervention feature.
At least level 10, yeah

Frick off, frogspammer.
I see what you did there.
I'm serious. Some spammer won't stop posting Pepe and Apu, and now that they are finally banned he is posting regular frogs just to shit up the board.
It's amazing how little you have going on in life.

Even knowing you're shitposting, these words caused me pain. Well done.
What game?
People who play tabletop games other than D&D are just contrarians.
I play pathfinder 2e because it actually functions as a game.
2e is so much worse than 1e though.
wrong
>functions as a game.
>Has feats that don't work RAW
morons who post outside of almost absolutely fricking everywhere D&D's praises are echoed back and forth are also being "contrarian"; imagine that.
Holy shit, you got so butthurt in the thread that kicked your ass, that you're spamming your butthurt reply in other threads too?
lmao
I fail to see how not having any arguments whatsoever is kicking anyone's ass.
>an entire thread where you got punched into the dirt for being a passive aggressive b***h trying to kill a board because you hate one game
lol
>the homosexual still thinks he's winning despite having no point
You're a homosexual.

Says the moron who felt like he had to bump the worthless thread ~1 hour after the previous post.
>You called me coper!?
>Well, you bumped the thread after one hour!
You're proving him right.

>What's so bad about a plague of frogs, anyway?
Ask the jannies. They're the ones who keep banning them.
rotting dead frogs everywhere
>What level
you don't have to be a cleric anon. If you want me I'll give you plague of frogs tight here and right now.
Have you tried not playing DnD? Good systems don't have moronic shit like class levels required to cast specific spells.
Depends on the system.
irrelevant, it's called an act of God, not an act of cleric OP you stupid fricking moron
Depends on the setting.
In d20 there was a class that did this. It wasn't a spell, but it was an act of God. It required a pretty high amount of piety to request it, if I remember correctly.
What was the class?
Cleric.
Specifically that book mentions they didn't include the 10 plagues as they considered them outside the realms of PCs.
Wizards didn't include the spell, but the Book of Exalted deeds did include the Divine Wrath Swarm of Apocalypse Frogs and a few other kinds.
Level 15 and multiclassed or hybrided into Warlock
Have you tried not playing D&D?
Buy/Breed industrial quantity of frogs and release into city of choice, usable in most settings and systems
