Once add-ons became commonplace that provide more information than the game itself does the player base got more and more moronic. Gearscore. Recount. rIO (not really an add on but a side effect of), DBM. All helped contribute to the moronation because the add-ons dictate how people play now.

The "problem" with DBM and WA is that the game itself doesn't provide clear informations. Even encounters are designed with these addons in mind. WoW needs clear friend/foe indicators regarding aoe and additional UI info when it comes to special debuffs/debuffs. ESO got this right, fricking ESO.
Frick off, I was implying somewhat standardized indicators. Every encounter has its different set of colors, swirlies and cones. Said indicators don't even show the real area of effect and sometimes get you hit/killed despite standing a good meter away from it.

Proper telegraphing allows raid design that isn't absolute dogshit since once you can properly let the players know whats going on you can stack 5 mechanics on top of each other and actually blame the player for not keeping up.
WoW can't even do more than 2 mechanics at once because you can't honestly see jack shit.

There is nothing "trial and error" about having to correctly guessing where you have to stand. Since WoW acts as an e-sport, the game itself could give me all the necessary information in order to me to take that fight.
There is nothing "trial and error" about giving me blatantly false indicators and killing me despite for not standing in said indicators because the real aoe is much larger. It's simply shit design.

It isn't, go play FFXIV or Wildstar to see what proper visual markers actually look like.
Both games are dozens of times harder than WoW too since they can actually be difficult because you got nobody to blame but yourself since the game does properly let you know whats going on.
patch 10.1.5 in dragonflight added a 3rd spec to evokers, augmentation
its basically a support/bard spec that buffs its allies so its damage is indirect, as in, it doesnt show up in the damage meters, but the buff receivers do giga damage
the increase in damage allies do more than makes up for the fact that the augmentation evoker itself doesnt do much damage, but because it doesnt show up in the damage meters, they (used to) get kicked from groups because "lol low damage"
[...]
It should be noted that Blizzard and the fansites tried to explain all of this in advance. Every bit of information about the spec, from the moment it was announced, was "you do tank damage but everyone else does great". The weeks leading up to launch were full of articles, both on fansites and from Blizzard, saying "Please understand that existing in-game damage meters literally can't credit the buff damage back to the Evoker so you're going to need to base your thoughts on how much the other players go up, not your own damage or use the more in-depth out-of-combat logs." Unfortunately, the average WoW drone is illiterate so none of it mattered.
Only solution is for Blizzard to make a built-in recount which takes the augmented DPS into account, displaying it properly
that is a difficult thing to accomplish, you realize, even if blizzard had competent team members (they don't). even log sites who have nothing better to do than work on that kind of thing struggle to achieve it well or even come to a consensus about the best way to display that information
same issue PI had when meter tards finally figured out those unholy dks were getting fed constant PIs and that wasn’t their real DPS, and this was actually the same result Innervate got ruined, i’d rather have interesting spells than meter tards

You know those mangas where a support type person gets kicked from the Hero's party as useless, but then it turns out it was the support doing all the heavy lifting and the Hero's a fraud? That said the screen grab in OP was very funny. Just like to say if they didn't remove the long boy I would've had enough money for it 2 months after they removed it but I wasn't willing to buy gold to cover that final amount
I remember in Pandaria joining some random guild after getting to 85 or whatever the max level was on my death knight and joining them on a raid that was the Vault or Archavon equivalent of that expansion. We had another DK who had proper gear that started giving me shit for still having green gear despite the raid leader giving the heads up. I ended up doing more dps than that moron and that never should happen unless the other player has no idea how to press their buttons correctly.
The average WoW player is just complete fricking dogshit at the game, but they don't even realize it.
Popularity, above average people seek niche interests to be among their peers, meanwhile the vast majority of people are absolute morons that can barely breath and thus when your hobby becomes widely popular you are bound to be trampled by a horde of actual morons.
>They nerfed Aug because of how broken it was in M+ >M+ Andies are going to absolutely whine and complain like Alliance players in general and get the one soulful thing added to the game in the last 10 years completely gutted
I can not stand M+ andies
Thats because M+ is the most soulless fricking thing ever added to the game
Raiding despite there not being a single good tier in like like 4+ years, is still the only thing of quality to do
I hate the fact that you can easily outgear heroic by doing mid-tier keys. And mythic raiding groups are too big for my taste, not to mention the chances of finding a decent mythic guild with a vacant tank spot. 10-man mythic raids when?
>i do same dps like always idk
It's this comment specifically that perfectly encapsulates the mindset of the average wow player. Painfully unaware of what's going on and yet so confident that they are god gamers.
blizzdrones are just stupid >kill enemies really fast solo in hots as genji, varian or valeera >shitters who just blindly spam aoe dmg complain about my damage while i have like 70% of our kills >the damage is low because the targets die before they could be healed

Is ESO fun
its skyrim but every single attack or spell you cast requires weaving an attack inside of it
it is really off putting
I was playing it for the story but imo, the dungeons are boring as shit. Lots of overworld though if you like lore.
There was no VoA equivalent in MoP, cool larp tho
Well I don't remember what it was, it was on some prison island that had some pvp thing related to it
That's the Cata VoA equivalent. Sure you're not mixing up your expansions there?
Guess I am, both were such shit expansions that I barely remember anything from them.
Popularity, above average people seek niche interests to be among their peers, meanwhile the vast majority of people are absolute morons that can barely breath and thus when your hobby becomes widely popular you are bound to be trampled by a horde of actual morons.
>They nerfed Aug because of how broken it was in M+
>M+ Andies are going to absolutely whine and complain like Alliance players in general and get the one soulful thing added to the game in the last 10 years completely gutted
I can not stand M+ andies
Played KSM during season 1 and not once I had fun. Feels good not playing WoW anymore.
Thats because M+ is the most soulless fricking thing ever added to the game
Raiding despite there not being a single good tier in like like 4+ years, is still the only thing of quality to do
Battle, Nylotha, Nathria are all great raids
Seplucher arguably if you like the challenge and if you don't like challenge Aberrus is perfect
I hate the fact that you can easily outgear heroic by doing mid-tier keys. And mythic raiding groups are too big for my taste, not to mention the chances of finding a decent mythic guild with a vacant tank spot. 10-man mythic raids when?
>random alliance hate out of nowhere
Zug Zugs are mentally ill
is this the esl thread?
80% of WoW players are south american third worlders or chinese on a vpn so yes
>WoW thread
Did you even need to ask?
>made
You give MMOtards too much credit.
The more "hardcore pve raiding" an MMO gets, the more elitist players are forced to be in order to clear content.
moronic mechanics by moronic designers
>don't perform
>get kicked
>"WHAT THE FRICK ? TOXIC!"
>i do same dps like always idk
It's this comment specifically that perfectly encapsulates the mindset of the average wow player. Painfully unaware of what's going on and yet so confident that they are god gamers.
blizzdrones are just stupid
>kill enemies really fast solo in hots as genji, varian or valeera
>shitters who just blindly spam aoe dmg complain about my damage while i have like 70% of our kills
>the damage is low because the targets die before they could be healed
