You pick a 1x1 New York apartment sized piece of land, put some containers there and a tower in which recons can have 360 vision and high ground advantage. There's your perfect map
so something NOT like goldmud with big ass open sight line dogshit.
ideally a map would have a open exterior area and then a tighter interior where tanks can not go so easily and then just frick off with sprint. that way the tank gays can fight all they want outside.
homosexuals just fly around shooting at eachother. They might as well being playing a totally different game, because they do frick all to help capture or defend objectives.
My buddy and I only play anti-air, since BF3. We absolutely shut down enemy aircraft, either killing them instantly or making them frick off to the very edge of the map for the entire match and bottoming out the scoreboard.
Aircraft virgins are literally the biggest fricking crybabies in chat. As soon as somebody does ANYTHING to stop them from going a 40kdr, they start screaming and crying about how broken AA is and start name-calling like a preteen. We've even had some high rank server donator contact a server admin to get us banned because we were "trolling" and camping AA.

>airplanes ruin battlefield
This might be controversial but I do agree with this. Jets ruined the balance of the game. Planes worked in older battlefield games because they were slow prop planes. Jets require lock on weapons. Bad Comapny did it best by just sticking with helicopters

its hilarious because the jet combat is such a step down from something like ace combat too. if you wanna jet why not play a game dedicated to jet. i get that you don't get the same combined-arms multiplayer in those games but tbh you're so floaty and slow its just not satisfying imo
it's a bad map
there is no fixing it, you just throw it away because the only way to fix it would be to make all of the skyscrapers destructible so that helicopters can't just camp behind them
It's great because whichever team holds C has the ability to dominate both sides, so there's the constant back and ford to retake and hold it, problem is there's always a homosexual who brings the building down ruining the entire map.

Control the tower and you win the game

Problem is the tower in the center. While in theory its a good idea, it rarely plays out because is always destroyed at the beginning of the game
>Remove the levelution of the center building so it doesn't collapse. >Lower the height so its the same height as the other buildings instead of being the tallest one. >Lower the flight ceiling so helis can't fly too high.
Levolution is cool but whoever implemented it didn't had a clue how it would affect the map, it could have been better to block some elevators or map it so the building formed a bridge between the both sides.
are you moronic?
most of the maps in bf3 (especially vanilla) are tiny as shit especially in conquest (like tehran highway, half of the map is inaccessible in conquest)
Most BF3 maps were bland as hell because consoles were unable to handle it. A way to mitigate that gen's lack of processing power was through Rush in BC2, having smaller, but detailed corridor shaped maps. A shame normalgays didn't like rush
Mix of open but with cover and line of sight blocks to split up the map. For BF3, Caspian borders and the Oil Field one has pretty good mix where vehicles and infantry could to their job imo
but most of the problems are not map related its moronic balance. like not giving shitty gadgets like the UCAV a global cool down that doesnt reset after a death.
>admin takes the MAA >takes it back to main >he sits there all game just observing and reporting people so they get banned >can kill him because a server rule dis allows attacking uncap
Multiple impactful lanes out of the spawn allowing teams a wide array of obvious options to approach and attack flags close to their spawn. Beyond that you need to have cover BETWEEN the flags and not only at them, use this cover, be it hard cover or terrain, provide interesting paths between the flags that create fun places to battle over and sneak through. Verticality can be used in many ways and it can be used in place of the above listed concepts or in tandem with them, a map like Pearl Markets was wonderful in how it crammed so many people into such small areas but had fun engagements due to using it's vertical spaces well.
Good battlefield maps include Amiens, Seine Crossing, Seige of Shanghai(only with the tower up), Zavod, Flood zone(without water), and Giants of Karelia
If we're talking about battlefield 3 maps, I thought operation riverside was really underrated. Plenty of hiding spots for infantry to flank and ambush vehicles including helis and the dirt bikes really help getting across the map to ambush those vehicles.
Also the urban maps such as Seine Crossing, Strike at Karkand and the earthquake palace map were really good cause vehicles could easily be ambushed by infantry if you weren't careful
let's take a minute to discuss how utterly USELESS recons were. >board your heli >drop down at the nearest mountain >deploy a beacon and camp there THE WHOLE MATCH >game ends, you lost >all are negative, like 3/50
Big size and many vehicles. Metro was way over rated.
Total chaos much like the new 2042 maps
Yes I still play them frick you vee
b8
This. Liked Metro, but vehicles are what make Battlefield Battlefield.
Getting B back was borderline impossible without a good squad.
A meatgrinder with choke points.
WHAT MAKES IT A GOOD BATTLEFIELD MAP?!?! IF IT WAS ABAD BATTLEFIELD MAP, IT WOULDN'T HAVE A THREAD ABOUT IT MADE NOW WOULD IT?
>results doubled the last time I checked your md5 in the archives

impressive
>last time I checked
sussy baka
homosexual
fair enough dude
Operation Locker is the definitive meat grinder experience
The less cover, vehicles and curves it has the better.
Not metro that's for sure. If I wanted shitty cramped map without vehicles that doesn't feel like a BF at all, I'd play Call of Duty
a bf2 map
You pick a 1x1 New York apartment sized piece of land, put some containers there and a tower in which recons can have 360 vision and high ground advantage. There's your perfect map
a map that balances tank homosexualry
so something NOT like goldmud with big ass open sight line dogshit.

tanks really do ruin battlefield
dude any air unit can ruin a tanker's life
airplanes ruin battlefield.

jet players all had huge egos since they could go 100/0 so easily
Was this a good map? If not how would you fix it? I heard that attack heli was super OP on it
it's a bad map

Anything within games called Battlefield: Bad Company or Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Also: Bad Company Vietnam
Especially Bad Company Vietnam
Hard to say, there hasnt been one yet.
I only ever played Battlefield 3 and something felt so off about the map size, it feels way too big for so little players.
Either make it 50 v 50 minimum or make the maps smaller. Literally nothing happens outside of the capture points.
are you moronic?

they should have made it so when tanks kill infantry they get reduced score.
a match should not be decided mostly by who controls armor
no rooftop homosexualry

Home.
>wake island in BF3
>use M60 with a 3.4x optic and a bipod
>tfw clapping homosexuals asscheeks from across the map

hows 2042 now anons?
is portal populated to play too? might need a mindless shooter for the upcoming 3 .5 months of crunch
>populated

that map was nice on RUSH.
Lack of gimmicks

Recons were OP as frick in BF3 because spotting was too strong in that game.
>DMR's in BF3
>they 2 shot
>mfw dat M417 with acog
Were they 2 shot in hardcore also?
cant remember I dont think I played too much hardcore in BF3. but I think HP was reduced to 60 in HC so figure out how much damage DMR's did
Certainly not fricking Operation Metro.
