Yeah this is something that has been happening with every fightan recently, think they're making it easier to rank up, while alienating their own playerbase that they're good when they'll spend the rest of their lives stuck in a specific rank. Platinum is SF6's most popular rank, for example, contrasting with V where Bronze was the one with most people.
SF6 evens out at diamond, but before then the ranks aren't that different. Just bump the 6 rank down by one to figure out what they would've been in 5. Plat is hold, hold is silver, etc. For tekken i imagine not losing points until warrior helps, then it's pluggers.
I almost hit blue as reina but honestly the netcode is shit and anyone defending it can suck my fat fricking wiener. Also Tekken isn't as complex or execution heavy as vets make it out to be, but at least I have had a lot of fun with 8 so far.

let me tell you right now sure +R looks great
eventually you realize it's all anime bullshit and then you wake up from that and realize that +R is a single player game and as a fighting game sure it's still good but there is 0 reason to play it and you'll just drop it
it doesn't have its loyal fanbase as 3rd strike and it barely gets any newcomers that stay
everyone enjoys +R but nobody sticks around to play it

I'll play it as long as I'm enjoying it, and I've seen plenty of the same people sticking around at least during my time in it.

and to add to this let me tell you about +R's current cultural impact
nobody cares about the game so its fanbase needs to go into other game's threads to remind everyone that this anime kusoge which is fun but a kusoge nonetheless still exists

I'm in yellows. I think I'd be higher if I wasn't trying to be so defensive as Azucena.

+R mogs Kekken when it comes to complexity and execution.
i'm sure you and the 200 +R fans are very happy about that
+R mogs every single modern fighter
It does but I just don't really like unbalance anime kusoge. I respect that game for what it is though, tons of fun.
