What's this genre of music called?
"Royalty Free Library"
French House
Ridge Racer soundtrack
I love disco
I'm reminded of Dimitri's level from Sly 2
Nice.
Move Me is still my favorite song of all time
literally the "getting boss baby vibes from this" meme
you fricking autists whose only concept of music is from videogames

Tekken? YouTube post so funny.
F2P early 2000's MMORPG
Whatever Daft Punk is. Definitely some kind of funk. Nu-Funk?
I don't think any one of these homosexuals know what they are saying.
House, no idea what specific sub-genre
its house ignore the gay hyper autistic genre gays
It's just house + disco
Sounds like House. Yea it's house. That said I'm not autistic enough to know what kind of House. Probably some mom and pop brick and mortar type.
It's handbag house
Happy hardcore techno.
non meme answer is french house
Daft Punk Music
Barbie House
Gay
He said genre not your sexual preference dumbass.

"I take it up the ass"
I'm just gonna start posting weird but good games
starting off with good old timmy
Tim folin has gone on record saying that when he was commisioned to do songs for random companies he'd sometimes forget what he was even making music for and just wanted to compose for the sake of it
seems like a fun time for VG composers
I like to think of it as the time before the propagation of the internet that if you were a young musician who wanted to just have fun experimenting with music, video games were the way to go.
Fun fact: This tune was stolen and used in what was supposed to be a showpiece advert for Ariston. They used the tune without changing it in any way and just assumed the makers of the game wouldn't care. They did care and this advert they'd spent a fortune on got pulled.
neat, I didn't actually know that. You would think if they were gonna spend that much money to make that ad, they could afford to toss some bucks to a composer to make something original
i,m going to kill myself on friday #wow #whoa

Follin's a legend and his ability to pull sounds out of chips overshadowed how good he was at just composing. His disc-era music while scarce is some of his best work. Listen to this track from a fricking Ford game:
there is a youtube video showcasing his music through the years as well as interviews about said games
the way he made music on c64 and nes seems like the most tedious shit in the world
You mean this one?
goddamn
best one ITT
Eh, I like 3 more.
It depresses me like nothing else that the composer of this and many other masterpieces back in the 90s, up and vanished from the vidya industry almost completely. What a damn shame.
tim probably just retired in all honesty
Im mean sometimes when you decide you are done then you are done
Apparently he was completely unaware of how much people remembered his music.
There was barely any money in being a developer, let alone a game composer, in the bedroom coder days.
It doesn't help how laser focused on Nintendo and the Genesis Americans are for retro-gaming. David Wise is pretty much the only non-Japanese composer I know of who is recognised and active since the 8-bit days.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqC6QH9aMSQ
Gotta love the licensed games where they cared so little about the music that they just give it to some guy who goes and has crazy fun making it.
I remember when i was a kid I saw this Ferrari toy car for a Barbie set and it was more detailed and better designed than any cars for boys I've ever seen.
Barbie had some good shit
Just popping in to post the undisputed king of going above and beyond the call of duty for a shit video game.
All the music in this topic makes me miss actual video game music. Stuff I would fervently look for sound tests for back in the day and just chill out listening to for prolonged periods.
Now it's almost all licensed music or orchestral.
Growing up with an Amiga I never realised how spoilt I was with its chip tunes. Even average platformers had great music and the Amiga's sound chip just had a general comfyness to it
thanks for posting this
into the rotation it goes
also gud:
not as gud as Jimmy White's but gud
> going above and beyond for a shit game
Doesn't loop until 2:06, worth a little listen.
Holy frick what a banger. Thanks for this OP I would never have found this track without you.
Is this the thread where we post literal who games with good music?
Not bad anon
Kino
Actually pretty good and I've never seen that game cover in my 30+ yrs gaming. Nice, anon.
Very nice anon
>I wonder if anyone has posted Robots yet
>literally the 2nd link I click
I remember that game actually being really good, it probably wasn’t.
>what kind of music should we put in our arcade racer?
>hmmm... how about 11/10 bangers?
Tracks in other racing games have still never matched this. Especially not licensed OSTs.
No idea why the sound guy for Airport Tycoon 3 was pumping out bangers, but, god damn.
This homie really went all out on a fricking Barbie game.
Why?
Why not?
because making decent music is good for your portfolio in the long run when you're freelancing
It's from a sound library
holy shit this def could be a persona 5 battle theme
>went all out on a fricking Barbie game
Hold my katana
>Youtube commentirs saying “UUUUUH WHY IS THIS GOOD”
It’s a Sega AM1 game you dips here’s some other games the composer worked on
You should hear what they did for The Smurfs.

random ass kaiju game
pretty kick ass for a P&F game
what a banger
Yo OP why didn't you posted this godly ost sooner?
This one is a banger as well:
>2:00
Alright someone please explain to me why a shitty game for little girls has better music than most high budget videogame.
I just don't understand how that's possible.
They’re made for little girls, and little girls are obsessed with music. If the music isn’t top-tier, they will drop it instantly.
There’s a reason why Disney Princess movies are always musicals, and the better-remembered ones always have the better songs
You can't supply lack of skill with money.
>for little girls
you wouldn't get it
at least the OP track is from a sound library that was purchased and licensed out for the game. just look up Fresno - Lay it down for the full version with vocals.
he couldn't get pass the "little girl filter".
Jesus
Proof that women are more privileged getting hot tracks like this.
Holy shit
But its literally this song
Thanks, I heard this song in my head but had no idea what it was called.
Ridge Racer Type 4 vibes
Yeah yeah <latest song> is alright, but HAVE YOU HEARD BARBIE BEAUTY BOUTIQUE OST??
>most artists: create their piece de resistance in sequel album and reach stardom and top 100 charts
>barbie music producer: im boutta go HARD AF on this game my daughter plays idc if only she listens to it
Why does it feel so goooood
But yeah, it's easy to make great sounding music if you plagiarise.
these are yugioh track tier
Uh oh...
this is just a copy of a stardust song
it's just Sing it Back's beat
Barbiechads.. I kneel.
Reminds me of The Ballad of Gay Tony's theme song.
i'm reminded of persona 5
>absolute banger
this is some serious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-_unC-g_rY vibes
Great shooting wiiware game with good music
Amazing horror game by From for the PS2
Mobile TRPG with Fire Emblem gameplay
Granblue Fantasy is now known in the West thanks to Versus and ReLink. The whole game is full of amazing music
OP why the frick were you playing a barbie game?
He's not. The soundtrack is trending on Twitter.
Why was he on twitter? That's almost worse.
what do you mean, this is Gankerwitter, has been for a long time now
How do you think people bring cherrypicked political posts here?
Ganker has always been reddit and twitter 2.0 sorry to disappoint you
Ganker existed before both those sites, you homosexual invader.
sneed
>sneed
All is forgiven.
this is now a bangers thread
The funniest thing about this song was that it was not even used in the game, but you could still listen to it in the sound test so it's there just because they liked it so much.
While we're on banger sound tests https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4HXKlJRn-U
Another good sound test song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kf0qEBwQP4Y
90 percent of Ocean's games were crap but the music man. Would rent frustrating/mediocre games just to jam out.
Never really noticed how many of these are from Ocean.
I loved this game and almost purely because of the music.
Also one of the tracks from the first game got arranged for the Pugsley sequel and you can definitely tell they were more familiar with the soundchip by that point.
Oh yeah, that really neat just seeing how they improved over time to stuff like Waterworld and The Flintstones.
Ocean were kings of rushed out licenced titles and dubious quality ports. They published a shitload of C64 and Amiga games but died out not long into the 32bit era.
It's funny how TItus who were even worse than they were lived longer.
Probably because Titus was bad. Ocean, being a profitable publisher were bought out by Infrogrammes in the mid-90s. And just like EA, Infrogrammes subsumed them and renamed them Infrogrammes UK or some shit. Nobody survives the acquisition hammer.
Why did you post that second one? It just sounds like an ordinar-
>0:08
Whoa... nevermind.
I miss the old edutainment style they had in 90s pc games.
I shared this last year and got no replies. Im glad more people are appreciating gay house music
What the frick, girls don't deserve bangers like this, who did allow this to happen?
LITERALLY a daftpunk type beat
all I needed to know about this song, thanks
contributing (sorry if its been posted already)
>contributing (sorry if its been posted already)
very nice, now check this out
not vidya but robocop related.
80s and 90s movies had amazing soundtracks.
>that era in 80s/90s where industrial had a small spotlight and it was the time of edge kino.
I miss it
contributing with bydia music
dope theme used in plaza releases
Bruh theres like some persona tier music in this barbie playlist
Don't sleep on these girly ass boutique games. They have songs that go fricking hard.
wtf do you kill god at the end of this game or something?
it was developed by Nintendo and plenty of the songs are featured in Smash Ultimate
alright, this song legitimately has no reason to be this good, lmao.
Why does a dress up game need a track with a guitar solo?
Not complaining, just curious.
There must be just a ton of people in Japan that try to get into music. I swear even obscure RPGM maker porn games get custom music that isn't half bad. They are probably just desperate to get any gig.
this is also true in america.
t. unsuccessful musician
Hey cool an Adventure Time game on the 3DS? And Jake Kaufman is the composer? I wonde-
Jake Kaufman is a beast. I hope WF can get him back for the next Shantae game because you could hear the musical step down Seven Sirens had without him.
You'd swear he's part Arab with how well he composes middle-eastern-sounding tracks.
>you could hear the musical step down Seven Sirens had without him
The Armor Town song was sick.
This game was good except it was full price and 4 hours long
I really love how Jake wanted to make a track that sounded like Anamanaguchi for one level and on his first try he pulled out a song better than 90% of Anamanaguchi's discography. Dude's a legend.
this whole game has a banger OST
my favorites are 10:07, 15:07 and 30:56
For me, it's Ridge Racer
racing games sounding so fricking clean should be sacred.
This sounds a lot like menu music.
On that note; it's criminal that this game didn't get more attention. Fun systems, stylish as hell, and great OST. Shame it was only on WiiU.
What's worse, every character had a theme in the Japanese version of TvC but because of music licenses the localized update removed them even for the Capcom side. A real shame, Frank's theme would've been cool as frick in this game.
Luv me a good soundtrack thread
this is all generic garbage
Go listen to some Neutral Milk Hotel at Ganker bud
I knew it'd be some kind of EDM. All these "hidden bangers" are the same.
Yes
Are they all really EDM or is it the fact that it's electronically created because they're video games so everything fast and upbeat is going to sound like EDM?
Videogame music can sound like any genre. A lot of FF music from the very start was inspired by prog rock.
Yeah, but if you're talking about SNES and NES music it's going to sound more electronic regardless of what it's trying to mimic.
Most of them are actually prog, just on chips. Not this one mind you
I got my mom to buy this game just because of the commercial, it was kinda shit
Only Germangays remember
this coomer game haves greats bangers too

The first two Harry Potter movies had so much soul. What happened?
First two games were made by Argonaut (Star Fox) . It was run into the ground by the founder and went under. The founder asset stripped the company and formed what would become Ninja Theory. A bunch of the top developers who used to work at Argonaut and didn't follow the founder formed Rocksteady.
Loads of talent at that company.
I played the "Highschool" route first with this game and it was painfully mediocre that I gave up on the actual route like 5 hours into it.
It's obvious it's supposed to be played after the rest of the game, I have no idea why they let you play it first it's all just references to the main story.
Demo for this game came in a cereal box once and I never forgot this music.
>Demo for this game came in a cereal box once and I never forgot this music.
I had something like that too. Never actually played the full game but I still remember the music.

Picked one at random and got this:
Transformers 1 on PS2 had great world music.
>godlike OSTs from obscure/mediocre games
My favorite threads.
It took me a moment to get into it, but this shit slaps.
For me, it's
Sounds like tekken tag ost if tekken tag ost isnt trash.
Not entirely sure if it fits but Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra wrote a load of music for Incredible Crisis. The main theme is great
>Japanese had a Ska band.
Why did japanese ps1 game box art look like album covers?
A random assortment of whatever comes to mind, enjoy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxizOovvfyI
The PS1 was spearheaded by Sony Music more than any other part of Sony, since it was the only division that had experience and desire to work in digital media AND entertainment.
>Ninja baseball batman
Groovy
Known for being a Mario rip off but the music is actually pretty great
Did they really have visible breasts on the cover box? God damn, Based.
super Mario Strikers Charged has this insanely groovy disco track
Obligatory
Same energy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2e330zMInys
Might as well ask in this thread... what genre is the music of Terraria? In other words, how can I find more music that sounds like it?
It's like synth ambient fantasy something. I have never heard anything sort of similar. And I don't know how to find more.
I have no idea
BUT
There's a few songs from jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 2 that sound like it
Avalon in particular sounds like it was ripped straight from Terraria. It's got the dubsteppy bits with the synth melodies
Yeah listening to it again 1:27 onward is just a Terraria boss theme
Burning Coliseum is also pretty close
Sounds like capcom vs snk 2
Did someone already post Pictionary
disco is worse than eurobeat (gay bar music)
>eurobeat (gay bar music)
If only. These days it's mainly late-90s, early-2000s pop or contemporary R&B.
Eurobeat and disco only get played during throwback nights.
At least it isn't Selena.
Actual popular eurobeat is only played by weeaboos and car enthusiasts
aside from OPs song which is okay these all suck, bus driver was okay too.
F zero GX had nothing but baller tracks on its stages. Adrenaline charged techno songs and funky uptempo tunes galore.

Easily the most memorable character theme from that game and I'm an atheist
Not sure which is so mismatched and great for it. Christian Rock Captain Falcon or Glam Metal James McCloud.

HEY THERE BARBIE LETS GO PARTY
I didn't even have to open the thread I INSTANTLY knew what song this was going to be. It has NO GOD DAMN RIGHT to be this groovy.
go back
This. Ganker posters need to never look at any other website so they can properly adhere to the echo chamber and repeat the same six threads over and over again. Ganker needs to be an incestuous mob swimming around in their own refuse like a box of hamsters or an aquarium that never gets cleaned. Absolutely any input that does not originate here cannot be allowed.
Yes, why would you need to bring anything from twitter or reddit?
Those aren't the only other two places. What's more, this isn't "from twitter", it's videogame music
Did you know twitter also talks about your favorite game?
I've listened to this song since someone on here showed it to me like 4 years ago, frick off c**t
>War
>Strategy
>Destruction
>Jazz
>All of these Youtube posts going "WHY DID THEY CARE?"
The composers for these games are just musicians with enough computer knowledge to make chiptunes work. They're being paid to make music, which is their passion, most of them don't give a frick what it's being used for or even give a shit about videogames in the first place.
This isn't just for C list games either. Nobu Uematsu is a based as frick dude but he doesn't play games at all, he's just a prog rock musician with a job enjoying the fact that life dropped a rockstar career in his lap
Style savvy is a great game and it has great music
So funky it belongs in Vigilante 8's OST.
OOOAH OOOAH
OKAY FELLAS
I'm a sucker for the amen break
Not especially obscure if you're British, especially as this was controversial as frick at the time. Still catchy as frick in an era where vocals in game music were rare as hell.
This game is underrated in general
i will forever seethe that powerpro games will never be translated. great ost for just baseball games.
Speaking of Vidya music I remember searching everywhere for some tracks I heard while feeling nostalgic for twisted metal black, and they don't have or list it anywhere on their soundtrack
It took a long time but I found it as part of some generic stock music soundtrack on a japanese website, even though it's not japanese music
https://www.nslibrary.nichion.co.jp/albums/920-ATMOS125
Track 15 - slave is the one I'm talking about
Anglos or Martians?
Reminder that "EDM" is not a genre itself but a blanket term israelites created to categorize the various subgenres of 6 over arching but distinct genres of music. It's also ironic of music snobs to get uppity about "EDM" just being "dance music" when thats what the majority of music through all time has been. Nothin' like a drivin' beat blasting out of some speakers to put you in the mood to frick doctor e.
It's such a step forward from """electronica""" that I couldn't give the remotest shit
It's funny because even the majority of people who are into EDM think the same way with them classifying anything remotely electronic sounding as EDM. I once knew a girl who claimed to be so into music and she didn't really know anything about the stuff she liked.
>games with unexpectedly good OSTs
my favourite kind of threads, gotta hand it to super monkey ball 2.
monkey ball isn't really a literal who game
Please be good
can't forget this one

STILL GETS KICKASS MUSIC BABY
>5 part suite hidden between five games/soundtrack releases completely unrelated to each other for the most part
>the fourth part isn't even named like the rest and only appears in an obscure battleship-style game
I've been meaning to get into the Naval Ops games they look sick
The composer has made lots of semi-obscure vidya music that's also in pretty gud games. I'd check them out if I were you.
Oh frick he's the THUNDERFORCE guy? I will order the games immediately
Specifically he's the Thunder Force V guy, but that guy's pretty good by himself.
For example, the Naval Ops song I posted is a sequel to this one.
And eventually finished with this.
https://vocaroo.com/1jP1A7jt4gBm
This is a boss theme from an MLP fangame
fighting is magic has some decent tracks too
I raise you
Horsegays know how to make some damn good music. The way TFH uses it is outstanding.
TFH's dynamic music is brilliant but it only works because it has such a small roster. It would be an insane prospect to pull this off with even a standard 16-character roster from a major publisher fighting game. Tianhuo soundfont on Alpake Highlands during Final Round is the peak of the entire soundtrack.
Yeah they have a lot of good non vidya music as well. Not that I would know of course.
post old AJ's theme godamnit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIPOeXQ793Q
I have a giant playlist of these kinda things, check it.
I live for these threads
I don't really know how literal who the game itself is but the final boss theme is peak anxiety banger
This game is actually really solid but can't let the thread go by without it
lmao I played this ”game” with my sister
and then?
N-nothing..
Classic Rare coming thru
Hope you like strings Ganker.
oh frick yes, neo turf masters is such a good game
nice, a friend just bought neogeo cabinet and I went over there to play this game few weeks ago.
game was fun as frick.
ON THE GREEN !!
This game fricking ruled, my mom bought me the Barbie PC for Christmas in the late 90s and it came with the best games. The horse and sea exploration ones were kino.
Post face.
This games entire soundtrack is gold, but here is a sample
Possibly one of the hardest songs I ever heard in a pinball game.
There are some weirdly great pinball game tunes
This game is also underrated in general
>song suddenly posted 3 times in the last week
Which eceleb shilled it, come clean OP
Not enough literal whos in this thread, I am seeing alot of JRPG shit and mainstream games

a friend of mine had the demo to it.
flying around bombing bridges and coming up with our own story is what stuck with me.
Damn, you're the only person I've met on this board who knows about the game other than me.
I played it as a fricking kid with an old joystick, I had no idea what I was doing but I remember shooting a lot of ground units despite that.
Yes.
This shitty pokèmon clone has some hidden bangers
That bit you linked sounds awfully familiar but I can't place it
Other games for girls masterpieces (game's Style Savvy Styling Star, it's pretty cool tbh)
these arent half bad
While we're on the topic of trending Twitter tunes, this one is making rounds in the "little critter breakdancing" meme videos and I love it, 2:50 is especially good and that's what the videos focus on
I always thought the soundtrack for this game massively outshined its exterior.
Ganker classic but still goes insanely hard for a porn game fight where the boss is trying to jack you off

>AAAA devs hire orchestras and movie composers to create expensive srs bsns movie soundtracks for their games
>literally no one ever notices them or cares about them or ever brings them up because they're forgettable generic soulless garbage
Bros what the FRICK went wrong? How did vidya lose its way?
if you've heard one orchestral boss theme with 50 instruments and a latin choir you've heard them all.
it's really that simple.
That's true as long as you are not Ace Combat
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCXE5Cqgo0Y
>you've heard them all
What about one orchestral boss theme with 50 instruments and a latin choir THAT ALSO incorporates spanish guitar/flamenco?
its shit
Because devs don't care about KINO and musicianship beyond LE EPICK movie orchestra now enjoy farmprogkino
It's what happens when vidya becomes the largest entertainment industry.
eh the fromsoft scores get the love and praise they deserve.
They're just as generic and garbage as the rest of them, it's just that the rabid fans hype them up way beyond what they deserve
Nah Sif and Maiden in Black are bretty gud
Too many cooks in the kitchen. Back then it was just a single musician who just wanted to make some weird funky music and they put it in the game because he was available. Nowadays you got the directors, producers , executive producers who are all giving their input about every little thing and everything ends up being more generic.
>AAAA devs hire orchestras and movie composers to create THE SAME GOD DAMNED 'EPIC' MUSIC IN EVERY FRICKING GAME
AAAA games are unironically mogged by literal mobile games so hard it's sad.
Cope and dilate, you will never be a good soundtrack.
Most of those are straight up plagiarized though
I'm gonna plagiarize your dick
>Most of those are straight up plagiarized though
They really aren't though.
I remember someone talking about why most big budget film scores are forgettable nowadays. Something about directors wanting the BGM to really just be BGM, rather than something fantastic in its own right. Maybe the same is happening for vidya?
The DBH score was done by composers and was pretty memorable. I think it has to do with the uniqueness of the tracks.
____________________kino_____________________
I'm still impressed about Behaviour hiring an entire orchestra for Jersey Devil's soundtrack when they were still a small studio.
ngl, pretty frickin good.
Good work Barbie.
I found this song while checking out random Genesis games.

goddamn
great soundtrack in that game. seto 1 and egyptian duel are childhood favorites.

Oh well, both are gud.

Wait what’s the difference between this and World of Warcraft? And yes I’m 24
One's a good game the other is World of Warcraft
WoW takes the setting and characters from the original strategy game series and shits all over it.
Like Phantasy Star Online is Phantasy Star in name only.
Thanks for the rundown. Never cared about any Blizzard games but wasn’t aware WoW was even a spin-off
Warcraft 2 is an old RTS, its main competitor was Command & Conquer back in its prime
WoW is a MMO, Warcraft is a RTS.

Yeah well sorry I don’t play gay fantasy games with horses and bows and arrows and all that boring shit
Get fricked zoomer
Oh and the WC2 soundtrack is kino.
Weren't you around for the Warcraft 3 Reforged shitstorm? Blizzard shit all over the original game, including making it impossible to obtain legally/non-resold.
That chanting at 00:40 always gets me, it gives such a somber mystical vibe to the world, that WoW completely did away with in favor of theme parks for morons

Perfection.
TMNT III's OST is strangely muted and lowkey sounding but the actual tunes are extremely high quality. All these years later I'm still mad there was never an arranged soundtrack or game remake that really showed how good the music was.
I fricking love these tracks
The original music is iconic : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fvha_2hAzq0

I remember by dad very specifically saying one day "Why does this fishing game have such funky music"
Did you tell him "because of Michael Jackson"?
I had a friend stream that game to me a year ago and for whatever reason we put on black metal as a joke and it slipped into perfect sync with the result and credits screen, laughed our asses off
frick me that's groovy
The boss battle music from this game gets posted a lot, but nobody ever acknowledges the rest of the ost, which is also great.
Sega AM2 so no shock it has a great OST
Forgot the name but this tennis game on the PSP had an amazing soundtrack. I would always go to the music library just to listen to it.
Virtually Lemmings games had bangers, even Lomax.
Then Sony devoured Psygnosis and killed the IP because why not.

As a general rule, AAA games have the worst, most boring music in the industry.
That only happened after devs started catering to moviegays and normalgays, all games used to have great music as a general rule, but zoomers would have you believe nothing ever changed (because they're the spawn of normalgays and wouldn't have played games at all if they were born 10-20 years earlier)
Definitely House/French House/Italo Disco influenced

My favorite final boss theme of all time is stuck in some mediocre JRPG that I'm sure a couple of anons itt saw on the store shelf/online shops but never actually played.
Anon you fricking idiot this game is a classic, tons of people have played this game
>tons of people have played this game
Then why have I never met a single person that's heard of it? Also I never see Ganker bring it up.
Sony/Square defense force has been trying to keep it hidden from the public for years.
With no intended insult I have to assume it’s because you are a zoomer who wasn’t online when it came out
It’s a Sakagichi game anon
*Sakaguchi
>Sakaguchi has been stuck in mobile game hell for 11 years now
Jesus fricking Christ, I was wondering why I haven't heard about anything he's made lately and I regret looking it up
People have been asking for a PC port for years but it looks like it will never happen, shame.
At least they gave the 360 digital version away for free for a time a few years ago and it's BC.
you could literally get the rappers from persona 3 and this would be a frickin battle theme what the frick
Feels like this should be a rouge the bat final level from SA2

Sounds like a strip club.
Barbie shock marketing twitter reddit astroturf to bring relevance to the barbie name now that the movie is getting closer to release
Anon please take your medication.
marketing = conspiracy LoL
>backpedaling from "THE CORPORATIONS ARE CONTROLLING EVERYTHING WE TALK ABOUT"
I mean you kinda right but also sometimes things just happen organically
It's unfortunately true. The Barbie takeover cannot be stopped.
I'd much rather see Barbie stuff being shilled than media with fat and ugly women in it.
to be fair, barbie probably attracts a lot of people in the fashion industry and the fashion industry is high tier shit.
hot freaking damn
I fricking love NES tracks that used those echoey instruments.
>famous composer randomly makes an obscure song for a fangame
holy frick i love that piano sample
For me, it's the shovelware Infogrames gameboy games.
Why do people keep calling this Persona music, this is much more subdued and subtle compared to the cacophonous Persona style
Persona invented jazz music and calendars
jazzy trumpets
Ok but what about unique songs in shitty porn VNs?
Does the shitty porn VN have this art aesthetic because I will absolutely play if so
It does not, but the main girl is very cute.
Yes anon. Aside from the cute sex scenes Dra Koi was not very good.
>Dra Koi
>Shitty
This is so good I'm gonna cum from the music alone
sure
>Game looks like this
I have legitimately never been this disappointed in my entire goddamn life
be thankful you don't read it cos it's even worse, nitro+ is king of edge
Not too many developers bothered with really memorable Gameboy music which was a damn shame as it could do some real bangers as posts in this thread have shown, especially if the sound programmer actually remembered the system can do stereo.
Wow, hey, that is pretty good. Thanks for the share.
Have some old-school Happy Hardcore as thanks, still my favorite techno genre, despite dying out shortly after I graduated high school:
>Old-school
>Nanobii
Don't make me slap the shit out of you
Not saying it was, just that it's been dead forever despite people making one-offs every now and then.
there was a pretty sick mix of "Terra" from FFVI that played on hardrave.jp back in the day, do you happen to know what song it was?
Sorry, no idea.
I found this: https://youtu.be/cLdh6mc3x-M but that's all
it's not this one but thanks for the effort anyway
>Happy Hardcore
>dead
Nah like most genres the Japanese are keeping it alive and taking it to the next level.
Lots of Alberto Jose Gonzalez music in this thread already. Have another
Takes way too long to actually start, was the almost 20 second drone necessary?
>shovelware Spongebob game? Thats my shit no cap fr
>shovelware Barbie OST? Full of bangers, shit slaps
>NOOOOOOO KIDS CAN'T USE DIFFERENT SLANG THAN ME I'M STILL RELEVANT
Before you start, I am 34
I'll see your Barbie ost and raise you a shovelware sports game with random celeb endorsement:
Bass line has NO right being this funky.
Posting underrated OST, aint nothing more soulful than this
I used this for my western tabletop game with friends. Fit like a glove.
Was there any actual Game Gear bangers? I never see it brought up anywhere when it comes to music.
Then again every game I played on it was nothing more than beeps and boops (even the SoR games) so guess that was the norm.
Our nip brothers always deliver
>That liberation maiden theme
Goddamn that was hype as hell to fight the boss to
dam straight the ost was perfect for the game with the voice overs and stuff.
Damn that's cool
>VIDEO game soundtracks
>No GAME soundtracks
GIVE ME YOUR MONEY
I miss the 90s anons
>when you are overqualified for the job
Many such cases.

Thanks OP for sharing this and for waking me up fully
Here's the track that seems to be sampled for that track
I swear there was a short while where racing games OSTs were king
Whole soundtrack to this game is solid (except Zeboom).
toy soldiers games were kino
Straight up JAMMER. I'm getting Tekken Tag Tournament vibes from this.
if you had the demo disk, you heard this song a few times
The JF! demo is got what me to buy a Playstation back then. First games were Jumping Flash!, Doom and Street Fighter Alpha.
I love Ridge Racer music. This one always stuck out to me.
Goddamnit, I always come late into these threads. Anyway here's some bangers.
>every "newbie" weeaboo millenials' rave anthem
