You can play single player but most quests can also be done multi and there's a few things very much meant to only be done multi
In particular while most quests scale to player count arena quests are always scaled for 2 players, you will still be able to do the arena quests you will just struggle to reach the good scores on them
I was gonna make a joke about you never see the huntsman out of his armor so he could be an ftm but I went to look him up just to double check we really have never seen his face and apparently some early concept art actually does have him as female

So, at the bare minimum what set should I be using?
Bros i can not have fun with this game anymore. Hammering the head of a monster for 20 mins stops making fun after the 100th time. I even never had to farm. How do you handle this feeling? The game is really fricking cool.

CapCom announced their new gamd and said "go play the old one" as well. It's $10 on steam. "Streamers" etc. all got on the bandwagon as well.
This isn't the first old game to blow up like this either. Titanfall and Battlefield games did as well. People are desperate for good games.

There's a lock on, but the game is much better played without it, or MAYBE with the soft lock on that centres the camera on monster by pressin LB

MR100 is when you unlock augments for rarity 12 weapons and final tier of armor upgrades and most people had those when DLC monsters were coming out

raging and furious are in like top 5 hardest monsters in the game, built for master hunters with top tier gear
