It's a tiny studio and they had one of the biggest indie hits in history that got frequent updates and post-launch support and somehow no word of why Silksong was seemingly shelved has come out, even anecdotally. They could easily do a 90% copy-paste job and get a frickton of free money but instead have just gone silent.

MS paid them money to be on Gamepass. They probably requested a release window that Team Cherry said "sure" to but refused to sign into contract. Cherry can do whatever the frick they want, MS gains more from them than they do from MS.
