Mouse and keyboard is soulless as frick to play with
No it's not consolecuck, your shitty controller is literally designed for morons.
Stop seething and accept the truth. controller made for games, keyboard made for office work
seethe cope and dial 8 keyboardtroony
Then buy one. It's nice to have the option for other games as well.
Use the keyboard, you dumb frick?
You have two hands. Put the other one on the keyboard as well.
only boomers and thirdworlders play use mouse and keyboard yuck
>vol. 1
are they really going to sell them 1 by 1?
Nah they're bundling them. Vol. 1 is MGS1 - MGS3 (with the MSX games), and Vol. 2 is speculated to be either 4, PW, and 5 or PW, Rising and PO.
Personally I hop they do the second option because Portable Ops is underrated and PW needs a touch-up.
Really hope they put PW Online functionality on PC. CO-OP weapons and shit would be hilarious
Agreed, I never got the chance to play PW in it's full glory so I'm hoping they go that route, but considering 2/3 of the games in the second option are considered semi-canon I don't think it'll happen. Apparently they aren't doing KB/M support for the original version ports either, so I don't think they'll be adding multiplayer functionality - they aren't doing it for MGO in MGS3 either.
I mean, the HD versions on Xbox and PS3 did have online, so I don't think it's too out there imo.
People speculate that Vol 2 will mostly have the moblie games like Ghost Babel, AC!D 1/2, PO+ and PW.
I think they're interested in bringing lesser known/semi-canon games too since they're also putting Metal Gear 2 Snake's Revenge in Vol 1
Forgot to say that PO would benefit from a newer and better control scheme A LOT since it's pretty much what stopped me from actually finishing it on my PSP. That and the stupidly annoying inventory space restrictions and soldier recovery system.
Hmm, that could be interesting. I've always wanted to play PO and PW anyway (I tried playing it on the HD Collection and just did not care for it)
but I'm not sure how well Ghost Babel or AC!D would fare, especially when bundled with the MGS3 remake.
Yup, I've heard pretty much the same ab. PO, apparently there's no fulton so you have to manually drag each soldier back to the level start? Sounds awful.
I also really hope they keep the music the same, Calling To the Night should not be replaced with some soulless Donna Burke cover.
I played PW on my Xbox but lost intrest after the Basilisk fight (especially since every mission afetr that is "SNAKE! ZADORNOV ESCAPED! AGAIN!")
It's a nice game and building ZEKE and fighting the AI Weapons were high points for me but it didn't grab me I guess? I'm willing to give it a more serious shot with the master collection though.
PO has a few very annoying problems. Fist off, the movement system is a 1:1 copy of MGS3 Subsistence's movement system and it just doesn't work at all on PSP. The inventory only allows you to carry 4 items, ammo included. So a weapon and it's ammo are already 2 slots. Fulton isn't a thing, so to recruit personell, you need to KO them and bring them to the nearest "Rescue Zone" which is marked on the map. You then have to go into another menu and request the soldier's capture. These zones are usually very far apart so you need to slowly and painstakingly drag a ko'd guard halfway across the map, whilst avoiding detection and it just takes too long man.
Yeesh, sounds like dogshit. If they do add PO my hopes aren't very high considering they probably won't revamp gameplay.
I don't even remember what stage I dropped PW at but I vaguely remember a bunker at a beach-like area with a turret on top? The gameplay just sucked dick for me, the aiming was crap, and the base building sucked. Plus the text was barely readable.
As long as they implement the same control scheme from PW, i'll be happy. Dual joystick that allows for indipendent movement and camera control would make it much more tollerable. I don't think they'll implement the MGO component, since they're not doing it for MGS3 either
>Dual joystick
so the ps3 version of PW
Yeah, but for PO
PO never got th HD treatment since it was always seen as the black sheep, so no new control scheme. If they do put it in Vol 2, it would really benefit from a better control scheme
What about ACID
They are creatively bankrupt so they need to release the games over and over to collect the shekels of manchildren who long for the good o' days.
While we're on the subject, what would be a good PC game pad to experience the Master Collection? I do have a few game pads (A chink PS2 one and a Xbox One with a faulty D-Pad) but I want something a bit more robust
holy fricking shit Konami you monumentally moronic motherfrickers
They expect me to use a Deathpad to play?
>PCgays: HAHA MY $3000 PC IS BETTER THAN YOUR CONSOLE
>also PCgays: spending $20 for a decent controller? frick that shit.
Who said that? I pay premium for a good controller as a PC player and it's worth it. You're making things up in your head and getting upset at it.
I kind of understand becuase that MGS1 pc port on GOG was kinda ass to play with m+kb
however I cant wait to see how this blows over
There are plenty of games that are objectively ass to play with M+KB, if you refuse to buy a controller out of loyalism or something you must be a deranged r/pcmasterrace redditor.
