I kind of hate how much Pikmin 4 drifts into "from the devs who played pikmin 2" territory. Too much of the game relies on callbacks to Pikmin 2 like Man-At-Legs and pretty much copy+pasting all of Submerged Castle. There's are such low-hanging references and I would have preferred it if they had gotten more creative or at least copied Pikmin 2 content that hasn't been jerked off constantly since 2004.
this can be said for a few games but it really does suck when the callback is just "what if we did nearly the exact same thing as a past game", makes the execution a bit flaccid.
what should've been done with the waterwraith is get rid of the engulfed castle and just have it in some random ass cave so even people who knew about the leaks would be on edge wondering if THIS is the cave with it or not.
>exploit company for benefits >eat some bomb ass carrots >be the soul reason the company goes under
Would have gotten away with it scot-free if it wasnt for this do-gooder coworker
>Want desperately to recapture the feeling of playing Pikmin 1 again >Pikmin 4 sits on my desk as we speak >Got so bored during the first hour that I quit and never picked it back up
Does it get better? So many people are saying its the best in the series but I don't see it
Honestly it's very good once you get past that first hour, pikmin 1 is still my favorite but I had a ton of fun with 4. Like it's not as hard and a little handholdy, but i can still feel the soul personally. That's just me though
My personal pet peeve with the Pikmin series is that they did away with all the alien elements. Yes the planet was always Earth but there was also a sense of foreboding in the environment design and music that made it just feel a little off, and unnatural. Then Pikmin 3 and 4 went straight to making things look uber realistic.
Pikmin 4 has to be the hardest 3D Nintendo game they've made right? I'm referring to platinuming all the dandori missions of course, not finishing the story.
In the normal caves, which is like 1/4 of the game. The dandori missions were designed around his abilities in mind so it doesn't effect the difficulty.
>all those bred pokemon made only to be released once the person collecting the eggs gets a competitive mon or a shiny so they can scream at it for their youtube channel shiny hunt like a man and do that shit in the wild with full odds
dumb and hungry
trap on a random fricking planet with his dumb ass coworker
Lou hungy
no idea who this c**t even is but he's chuffin a fat dart thats all that matters
I dont think he can actually take all that in without dying
was sirehound a good final boss
unironically 2nd best in the series after pikmin 1 emperor
*extremely deep voice* louie.

I dislike how P4 caves are Zelda dungeons as opposed to P2's Wizardry dungeons

no, 1 remains the best in the series

Louis is Nintendo's greatest villain. His frickups are legendary.

Why make Pikmin 4 a reboot?
I miss her.
Only new character in pikmin 3 worth giving a frick about, her dialouge was actually funny for the most part
She (her clone) came back in 4 though
>Pikmin 5 will be about a crew establishing a permanent research base on PN-404.
not unless something should happen and wipe them out
Fricking Louie.
1 is the only good pikmin game

I always call this the hardest Nintendo game because it's the only one I can't finish
The Dog makes things almost too easy

Reminder that Olimar is the only Nintendo character that has canonically fricked.
Main character maybe. Lots of Pokemon npcs have fricked
Lots of pokemon have fricked.

shiny hunt like a man and do that shit in the wild with full odds
>meanwhile in Fire Emblem
