>loses a rap battle against Beren >loses to a fricking wolf >his most beautiful physical form is on the ocean floor
I'd be mad too, let's not talk about the rings, imagine his saltines.
Yeah and Jackson discarded the fact that Sauron always had a physical form and made the giant eye concept based on a throwaway line talking about the "Eye of Sauron." The reason he never went out into the world himself is because it was too weak without the ring and he had millions of servants to do his bidding for him.

Technically the eye is described exactly as it appears in the movie (with a cat pupil) in that scene with the magic mirror where the elf chick shows Frodo events of past and future, and Sauron's eye appears looking for them though he cannot see them yet.
Sauron's eye is both his symbol and a more metaphorical thing in the books and represents his ability to see far away. The movies instead made the eye his actual "body" and all that he had left of his form.
He has a physical form in the books you imbecile. There was no eye in the book except that's what the Orcs branded their banners with. Sauron has a corporeal form that paces around the top of Barad dur
Honestly Hsckson was the worst thing to happen to western media
LOTR is the result of Tolkien hanging with his group of bros and his study of languages and ancient folklore. Japs have the second, but not a lot of them have experienced the first. There is a sore lack of brotherhood and friendship in japanese stories, they're way too focused on the romance aspect.
Autism unironically. He was basically just the ultimate craftsman autist who was obsessed with order and perfection and thought he should dominate everyone else to achieve that order since the plebs clearly couldn't do it without him.
I like this anon's description from another thread. >Sauron likes the world of the elder days, and preferred to maintain that world for longer by pouring the last vestiges of 'magic' (tolkein magic is tricky) into the physical vessels of the rings. The rings primarily preserve, hence why Gollum lives so long, why both Rivendell and Lorien stayed alive and vibrant, why the wraiths persist as shades for centuries, and likely the dwarven rings did something similar, especially Durin's ring. >Sauron holds onto the past rather than aiming for a future of any kind. It is a very human story. People stay in failing relationships because it is still comfortable, or do choose not to move to a better place, just because the easiest choice to make today is to keep doing what you have been doing. Learn from your past, but don't aim to recreate it.

>no penis
He has a physical form in the books, Jackson came up with the big eye over tower bullshit.
His physical form is at the start of the Fellowship movie anon, we get to see him getting BTFOd by Isildur.

Sauron did have a physical form in the movies though, he was inside of the Eye at the gates of the Abyss slowly regenerating his form.
The movies specifically claim he cannot yet take physical form in the dialogue.

The Eye is mentioned multiple times in the story.

Dry eye.

Why can't japs with all their damn copypaste jrpg's ever make something that comes even close to the absolute kino that is Lord of the Rings?
