Did SEGA seriously retcon every single Modern Sonic game?
I'd take that with a big grain of salt. Highly likely to be a mistranslation or at the very least a misinterpretation. As much as the reuse of assets is annoying, I'm glad this is forcing the badniks back to their Colors/Generations designs. The minimalist Forces looks were really dumb, and the way they tried to directly transfer the classic designs to 3D in Lost World looked way too cartoony and wrong.

Frontiers kind of seem like the kind of game where only about 20% of it will actually be good. Most of it being varying degrees of tolerable. With a huge portion of the game being outright frustrating and or annoying.
But genuinely, disregarding however SEGA fails to execute the ideas, it seems like the game has a lot of actually good concepts to it.
No matter how the full game holds up in the end. I get the feeling that it'll be an interesting journey that'll also provide a good window into "what could have been" if only SEGA could actually execute the ideas better.
