what the strongest creature you have defeated in a game?

Like the subject says, it's a very simple question, of all the fould (or not that foul) monsters/demons/undeath/deities/aliens etc. that you have defeated, who had the most raw power?
In my case, it was a extremely powerful ancient lich, who was teached by the actual god of necromancy, that was in the process of becoming a god himself and turning the entire world into a wasteland, and we could defeat him during a certain time of his ritual. Not very impressive by some standards but the games in wich I play usually don't get too far or are games that aren't focus on combat.

    What a shite thread

I said he was a powerful ancient lich that was becoming a god. Sorry for not giving you his stats anon, at least I gave an example I really had, unlike every other fricking thread that just gives you the question.
But if you want more information I would give it, the guy was actually stationary in his throne and didn't move, but also he was protected by a warrior that worked thanks to magical runes in room pillars. The entire place was so filled with necromancy magic that we had roll a will test just by staying there. Apart from his powerful bodyguards that he could just heal, buff and revive constantly. Of course as a necromancer he had a lot of spells that could easily one shot you, like just turning you to dust or opening a portal into another dimension and throwing you there. And finally also he could only be harmed by one magical special sword and nothing else.

Don't worry/tg/ is full of barely functional morons that lessen the pain of their pathetic lives lashing out at people on internet for no good reason.

In my case would be one of this.

-Irae Tsarran (City of the Spider Queen): Very modified version Mystic Theurge CR25. It took us hours to finish this combat because she had so much buffs. In the end we won only thanks to a antimagic shell by the cleric.
-Adimarchus (Shackled City AP): Surprisingly easy, he was defeated by our Demon Hunter in close combat.
-Imix (Return to the temple of Elemental Evil): One shooted by our Destiny Weaver with a finger of death in the first turn.
Tiamat (Red Hand of Doom): One shooted by our Elven High Mage in the first turn.
Lyzandred (Crypt of Lyzandred): Dog piled by our very large group in a very difficult combat.
Acererak (Tomb of Horrors): Demilich, killed our best mage permanently.
The Dark Lord (Homebrew): We killed his avatar as the culmination of a long campaign.
Diablo (Diablo Ad&D): Both in the Diablo and Diablo II campaign.

That's in just D&D, and I'm sure I'm forgetting people.

You must be at least 18 to be posting on Ganker.

Anon I didn't said he was a god but he was in the process of becoming one and we had to defeat him when the ritual made him vulnerable. He was the end boss of the campaign so I don't know what you expected. So please tell us who was the most powerful creature you killed so we can compare and see if its childish

I was in a campaign where a player killed Lloth. Yea, drow-goddess Lloth. By using some moronic super secret monk martial arts technique to eat her soul or some shit. This happened at level 14.

If it sounds childish and moronic as frick, that's because it is. Killing powerful things in a game of pretend and then bragging about it is stupid. You could kill the whole pantheon at level 1 and it would not be impressive because there is always some kind of moronic DM-fiat involved.

I wasn't bragging, that story you tell it's interesting and yeah our DM also uses that kind of tricks when we fight something really powerful. There was a time in wich he hyped the most powerful pirate captain guy in the world wich was also a wizard and then an npc of his just killed him, it's childish yeah but is the kind of stuff that happens in games

Best in show, Mictlantechutli, whom we swear fealty to. In real life.

Why do you hate fun? What happened to you? Why are you on a board about having fun with your friends and being a little b***h?

I just think it's fun to tell stories of our games, that's it. You didn't do it with your friends?

Depends what you mean by "defeated"
If by defeated you mean "stopped the plans of", then Nyarlathotep, hands down.
If by defeated you mean "beat in a fight", then a dragon.

This one isn't going to sound very impressive compared to godslaying, but in a Hunter game my unarmed character rushed down and beat unconscious a pair of armed and nosy policemen checking up on reports of gunfire from a local religious figure (read: cult leader sacrificing souls to fuel his powers)'s mansion. Suffered only minor injuries too. Seeing the GM roll miss after miss for gunshots and realizing I might actually pull it off was more hype than slaying any dragon.
On the fantasy side of things my technician (a ki-specialist fighter) defeated this clown assassin lady in an Anima Beyond Fantasy game. She had monowires which counted as invisible if you failed a notice check and my guy has shit for notice so I was burning through my Ki at record speed using defensive techniques to compensate for the invisibility penalty.
As a party I was in a group that "killed" Acererak at the end of ToA but I died from an annihilation sphere so it probably doesn't count.

Sorry for not being clear enough, I always meant the one you killed as a party, I died in that fight as well

Probably Acererak in DnD CR terms.

He was pretty weak, the boost you get before facing him is enough that he almost can't do shit to you anyway. Beat his ass and took his gear.

    1 on 1?
A Chain Devil with my, at the time, lvl 12 Cleric Ordained Champion in the 3.5e table I'm currently playing with, I think?
That happened after my guy destroyed a couple of Gibbering Mouthers and some Tanaruk, so his resources were already quite spent.
Most of the time the party fights enemies together, so not that many chances to shine solo.
If not one on one, a homebrew Ancient Red Dragon that had a sick ass plasma beam breath weapon in an Eberron 5e game.
I was, as usual, playing a Cleric and the group was yoyoing hard. Blessed be Mass Healing Word.

OP here, yeah I meant as a group. I don't think I have ever fight had a big fight with just myself in a game, we are always with someone.

During our fight against a dracolich, our DM suffered an epileptic fit and we had to save him from choking.
He made a full recovery, but after that he went "Frick it, let's say you beat Dragotha and move on".
So that was the strongest creature we defeated.

Something actually similar happened to me, we were having a big fight with tons of people and since it was too late we decided to continue the next day. In the next session, apparently the information of all what happened during the fight was lost, so we just won automatically because the DM forgot how many life, habilities uses and spells slots the enemies had left

In a series of unfortunate events a paladin I was playing in Pathfinder ended up in a 1v1 with a glabrezu at, I think it was level 10 or 11, which I barely managed to win
We never had any campaign go much past level 12 so nothing much bigger than that really
