Feraligatr is perfect as a pure Water-type but if must have another type, it should be Fighting, Dark or Dragon.

      >a marshy swamp theme
We have too many of those already.

This is a good idea, but instead of Ground, second type at late evo should be Grass.
But not sure if having the Water starter a secondary Grass type is balanced...

They should give each starter except the PLA three a Paradox form. Im surpised they didn't do this for Zard already. It must have took alot for them not to do it.

the ones that got megas, or gigas should also be excluded (unless you were only referring to the Johto, Unova, Alola in the first place) trio in the first place, and even then it would make more sense for only one from each to get a parados and the remainders to get different thing.

If I were to make my own PL sequel, I'd choose Chimchar, Treeko & Totodile as the starters

Infernape would be Fire/Flying with a Airbender motiv

Sceptile would be Grass/Steel with the same Pine tree motive but more sleek like a bullet

Feraligatr would be Water/Fighting and basically just be a rip-off of Mega Swampert

An ugly Pokemon like Feraligaytr doesn't deserve anything.

I want Meganium to have a regional form that gains a secondary typing that pairs well with Grass defensively, like Poison, Rock, or even Water. It’d be cool to have the first starter Pokemon of two types of the triangle.

      >be cool to have the first starter Pokemon of two types of the triangle
If Game Freak wasn’t on their Johto hate-train during gen6, the Johto Starters would have gotten Megas or another power-up form that gained a secondary starter type and an improved move pool to to make use of them. but that ship has long gone

Regional starter trio of Totodile (Grass), Snivy (Fire) and Litten (Water) that get different final evolutions

    Primaligatr
    >Grass/Rock
A top-heavy crocodile (similar to M-Swampert) that continues the caveman motif from Croconaw

    Seroboros
    >Fire/Fairy
A winged fire serpent that spins in a wheel to shoot energy

    Brineroar
    >Water/Fighting
A quadruped white tiger with more heroic elements to contrast Incineroar

I had an idea for a Legends-styled game set in Kalos were the starter trio would have a royalty/ruler theme

    >Kalosian Serperior
    >Grass/Psychic
    >The leaves forms a cape around its neck/shoulder area. Has pink highlights on its body. Emphasis on the eyes, it can petrify opponents just by looking at them. Might hold an apple with its tail as a bible reference, or a fruit/berry that looks like a crown israeliteel orb.
    >Signature move: Regal Glare. Psychic type, special 80bp, 30% chance to paralyze. Uses the opponents lowest defensive stat to calculate damage.

    >Kalosian Charizard
    >Fire/Rock
    >Cave dragon, kind of like Smaug. Has no wings and instead a bunch of pointy rocks and israeliteels that protrudes from its body. The rocks also forms a crown on its head. It becomes the king of the mountain it lives in and hoards treasure. Fast special attacker.
    >Sig move: Magma Blast, special, 70bp, uses both fire and rock type for damage calc

    >Kalosian Empoleon
    >Water/Flying
    >The wings and body are smaller/leaner and instead it has a translucent feather cape it uses to catch wind and glide. It lives on high, sheer cliffs by the coastline and looks down on its subjects. It often jumps from cliffs, glides and then dives into the ocean to catch prey, and then climbs back up with its strong claws. The feather cape can also be used as a fishing net. Physical attacker.
    >Sig move: Extreme Dive, physical, flying, 100bp. High flinch rate. User loses its flying type the next turn. Can only be used when the user is a flying type.

Feralgatr would get either of these two with Strong Jaw:
    >Water/Dragon
    >Water/Ice
In both cases he'd get a water and dragon type fang move.

I don't think that will happen because if it did, Feraligatr would look like shit.

        >Grass/Ground Torterra
        >Fire/Fighting Infernape
        >Water/Steel Empoleon
        They don't care

        For more balance
        >Grass/Electric Meganium
        >Water/Dragon Feraligatr
