That was the best game of the decade, but I don't know if it "sums up" the decade.

Given we got HL2 (literally the same day) and GMOD, CS, and TF2 all pretty close to each other it may be that, at least for PCs (which is all that matters anyway).

Holy Black person frick off, VTM is so overrated on Ganker it's unbelievable, the actual game aside from the lusty bawd characters is boring as frick and dogshit.

Watch the three hour G4TV countdown launch of the Xbox 360. It’s very much of its time, male co-hosts harassing their female co-hosts with sexual jokes (the female hosts don’t find it funny but they immediately move on, b***hes today are weak), the average gamer style who had no style whatsoever, some bad reporting on games, it’s pure cringe and it’s why it’s so great

I don't know what video game best sums up the 2000s, but I do know that I'll always be thankful to Paul Walker
He showed an entire generation of white guys how to appropriately interact with nonwhite people in 2000's America when we actually had to begin giving a shit about their opinions and desires
Whenever I have to meet a black or Latino person, I always just start acting like Paul Walker and everything's fine and I feel much more calm and confident about being a white male and for a brief minute when we bump fists, it's like slavery and colonization and smallpox never even happened and I can just enjoy a nice Corona with familia.

you got it backwards. the early part of the next decade has the culture of the later part of the previous decade, not vice versa. so "early 00s culture" is just 90s culture, and 90s culture ended in September 2001

Anything urban. Most 2000 era games, no matter what it was about mostly had an Y2K and urban undertone. Marc Ecko's getting up, Def Jam FFNY, Need for Speed Carbon, The Warriors, Bully, Jet Set Radio Future, Fusion Frenzy, Tekken 4, The Urbz, DMC 3 (The early stages), Newgrounds porn/sim date games
