People love it because it feels the most like an rpg, that what you do with a faction matters (it doesn't, really, but it feels like it does). Theres just more to convos and writingand options besides "yes, no, more information, sarcastic yes."

It’s because it’s an interesting world that doesn’t get bogged down in a bullshit story. You’re not tasked with tracking down your father or your kidnapped baby or whatever. You start on a revenge quest, then you pick a faction, then you kill everyone else. The world feels more open and dynamic than fallout 3 or 4, and your character isn’t on a quest and doesn’t have an obligation; just do whatever you want.
a series? that's tough bc most games really don't have enough material for a movie let alone something ongoing like a game. you can do a series on something broad like fallout or mass effect where there's a whole universe to play with.

Id watch a Morrowind series if they did it right (gravel-voiced Dunmer, kirkbride as consultant, focus it more on daily life than on the same ‘Le Epic Chosen One’ shit every other high fantasy does)

Death Stranding: just a guy trying to deliver packages but has to avoid the homosexual Demons and rainfall. Each episode could have a different obstacle, he finds a hurt porter midway through to give some dialogue in it so normies could into it.
Evil Within 1/2 plays like a horror anime already it could easily be one.
Hollow Knight the Animate Series would be cool, and probably easy to animate. I'd like it if they kept a silent protagonist, and restrained themselves with dialogue in general.
