The game is fun to go through, as nothing similar has been released but it's a step down from the Zero Escape series. The way the plot resolves was in my opinion an ass pull and yeah, the dancing scenes are cringe af but it's a solid 7.5 game. Also hate to be that guy but the game is not a Visual Novel. VNDB has many games in its database that are in no way a VN.

Sweetest Monster: Refrain (the sequel) shocked me with how good the writer had got at writing. It's pretty much more of the same, wraps up Sweetest Monster's story.
The Way We All Go is a shitty Higurashi ripoff, didn't like that one. Strawberry Vineagar seemed to be aimless, just fluff.
In terms of good shit, Asphyxia has a bit of wishy washy depressiveness akin to The Bell Jar, but visually it's beautiful, and the twist (which I later found out was the premise lol) was really, really well-excuted.
Lynne is good, it's a short story about stdying for entrance exams. This Girlfriend Simulator is pretty good so far as well. Her free pixel art shit tends to be be dark, but pretty solid.
I don't read yaoi and yuri, so I can't speak to those ones.
I had completely forgotten about that sequel after it was banned on Steam, I have my hand full for a long time but I'll get it sometime in the future, it's very short anyway. And yeah, she has a great writing style that is refreshing after what you usually see in the medium. Her VNs would be absolutely incredible with voice acting, coupled with the great writing and art but that is next to impossible to happen with how expensive it would be.
Not a huge fan of voice acting, so I don't really kind.
Ocassionally, the right artists come along and she puts out something really good. She really just needs a dedicated artist to work as hard as she does.
As a writer myself, I seriously have no idea how she puts out some much stuff so casually. I struggle to find a EVN writer on her caliber. Most just drop one really great VN and frick off for eternity.

Are you playing with the voice patch? It adds voices to the male characters. I only found out about it at the end of my playthrough and wish I found out about it before as a lot of scenes are quite confusing when there's multiple male characters on screen.

I dropped Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa after ~10 hours. It was too edgy for me, and I didn't understand why I lost. The way the game kills the girls you like is a pleasant surprise at the beginning, but quickly made me stop caring about the story. I suspect the game wants to corner me into a singular ending, DDLC-like and I hate that.

Anon if you want to go to a particular character route then you shouldn't gravitate towards their affection until later else the curse will make you kill them. Play it with a guide if you must. It's pretty straightforward edgekino and technically there isn't a Hikaru route and iirc in the true route you dont kill any of the heriones

UBW has way better fights and pacing and Fate has a much better romance
