I've wanted Mushroom Kingdom Warriors ever since Hyrule Warriors came out but sadly I don't think it will ever happen. I wouldn't even care if it was a carbon copy of Hyrule Warriors but with Mario characters and movesets, it would be the best musou game of all time because I autistically love Mario.
And Samurai Warriors 5 shows us they're trying something different than open world again,.I did all of Dynasty Warriors 9 and then I downloaded number 8 extreme Legends for my switch.
Nintendo rejected a game pitch from Retro where Samus actually went and did bounty hunting because they apparently just chose the word randomly and treat her and Star Fox as glorified mercenary adventurers.
The only time I ever saw a Nintendo bounty hunter actually hunt a bounty was when Captain Falcon shot that dude.
Going into a pitch meeting and suggesting "Yakuza but with (Nintendo franchise)" probably just gets you some raised eyebrows from EPD2.
(OP)
Realistically, it seems like they're stuck on Zelda and FE. They probably could be allowed to do Xenoblade too, but it feels like the series isn't big enough to be attractive to Koei. Meanwhile, we actually know Koei is interested in a Mario musou, but considering how it hasn't happened I guess Nintendo thinks it wouldn't fit the "brand". Same goes to Pokemon. The old Pokemon Conquest games happened after negotiations for a Pokemon Musou. And if specific big series like that have issues, we're also clearly never getting a Smash Bros Musou.
The Mushroom Kingdom can work, but not with that awful roster in OP's image. On the other hand, >Multiple Mario powerups as their own slots >Only DK and no other DK characters, especially none of the Kremlings or K. Rool >No expanding outside the usual roster with Captain Syrup, Midbus and Ghastly King >Low enemy variety like HW
Pick any of the Mario spin-offs outside Mario Kart 8 and there's your Mario Musou roster. >MK64 8 >Daisy >Waluigi >Jr. >Rosalina
And that's it. Just twelve characters, all the Mario powerups as their own characters and not DLC. It'll be the most boring shit you could ever imagine and for the Musou genre, that is saying something.
>Only DK and no other DK characters, especially none of the Kremlings or K. Rool
Because it's Mario Musou. Not "Mario plus the autistic DK expanded universe Musou". You might as well ask for Banjo at that point.
I think a Mega Man Musou would be really cool. Sticking to one sub series or including all of the Mega Men would both leave room for lots of cool shit.
They've mentioned wanting to do Mario or Xenoblade, either of which would fit really well given their enormous casts.
Mario's 40th anniversary is next year, I could see Super Mario Warriors being a good Switch 2 launch calendar title like the original FE Warriors and enjoy the benefit of launching near a new 3D Mario, Mario Kart 9, Super Mario Bros Movie 2 publicity, etc.
Hyrule Warriors 1 benefited from the novelty of it being the first big crossover. Age of Calamity is far and away the best selling musou by BOTW association. FE Warriors benefited from the novelty of it being an obvious idea after Zelda and riding high off the success of Awakening and Fates, and Three Hopes obviously had a lot of success being a Three Houses spinoff. I think those franchises have done all they could for now until they get new material people can get excited for, lest they start hit diminishing returns. A new Nintendo IP like the aforementioned Mario or Xenoblade would be great for everyone involved.
You would have a point IF IntSys itself wasn't having a meltdown over character choices in FEMusous
Protip: They were
Also lol, FEBros is getting uppity for no reason again

It did just fine, barely fine one may say.
Mario
Actually, Paper Mario is canon to the Mario universe through the last Mario & Luigi game, where it is shown that the world of Paper Mario is a separate universe that exists within a book.
it could work but it would probably require the main enemies to be octarians for the 4 gojillion time
if they did do it they could do something really cool and have 3 way battle between the inklings (the player), octarians and salmonids
Mario is unlikely given the fact that it is a family friendly franchise.
Pokemon could work since the central element of the game literally is combat.
Metroid could work if you bring back the other hunters from Corruption and Hunters.
Xenoblade could work too if you set it in the reunited world which would explain why every character would be available.
Xenoblade if they don't decide to do FE Engage Warriors.
I feel like Nintendo wouldn't see Warriors as being 'fitting' as a game for the Mario Brand. Same could be with Pokemon and GF.
Bowser would probably be either absolute top tier like Ganondorf was in Hyrule Warriors or be another one of the big and slow characters who always get fricked on hard missions.
mario musou would be incredibly based
I concur.
Do you think they might do a Mario moussu in the announcement for the Nintendo Switch successor?
I've wanted Mushroom Kingdom Warriors ever since Hyrule Warriors came out but sadly I don't think it will ever happen. I wouldn't even care if it was a carbon copy of Hyrule Warriors but with Mario characters and movesets, it would be the best musou game of all time because I autistically love Mario.
Mario Musou with the same love that Hyrule Warriors 1 had would be crazy.
So sad there's no Xenoblade musou.
No matter what it is it will be better than DW10. It's not fair non-licensed musoubros
>No matter what it is it will be better than DW10.
Why?
9 sucks
And Samurai Warriors 5 shows us they're trying something different than open world again,.I did all of Dynasty Warriors 9 and then I downloaded number 8 extreme Legends for my switch.
SW isn’t DW
SO?
SO SHUT THE FRICK UP b***h
since nagoshi left rgg I'm surprised rgg hasn't reached out to nintendo to do a yakuza like game but with nintendo characters.

They still haven't ported anything. It's clear he wasn't the only one holding a grudge.
honestly just Smash Warriors
make up a plot why all the Smash characters are fighting each other with massive armies
As much as I actually do love both Hyrule Warriors, this is a better concept really.
>Donkey Kong musou
>Earthbound musou
>Xenoblade musou
>Pikmin musou
>Kirby musou
>Kid Icarus musou
>F-Zero musou
Xenoblade
Why we haven't gotten a dissidia final fantasy muso is beyond me at this point.
It's Square Enix, kings of missing the obvious. Most of their business decisions are objectively moronic.
Xenoblade is the most obvious
Smash would be the best imo
(OP)

>most likely
another Fire Emblem one
>most based
Hyrule Warriors 2 or Mushroom Kingdom Warriors
>most likely
>another Fire Emblem one
Why?
Nintendo has been trying to build it to be a core pillar of their catalog. It's still not that big of a deal outside of japan.
It most closely matches the RTK Musous in setting/scope/potential roster, so it's probably the easiest for them. Makes sense.
I'd like if they keep having a regular FE and then an action spin off but yeah, enough Musou but it could still be a Koei action game.
Sonic
>All those shitty RPG spinoff side characters
At least they didn't put fricking Geno and Mallow there, also, how is the Kart supposed to work?
>how is the Kart supposed to work?
See Epona in Hyrule Warriors.

Which is why the DK characters appeared in the Mario Movie when they could have opted not to add them, huh?
I want this so bad.
I think one of the people who works on Warrior said they want to do Mario so badly too and Star Wars.
Xenoblade obviously but i don't think that's happening anytime soon.
Unironic response? Punch out musou
Can't we just get another type of spin-off?, I played both Hyrule Warrios and even if i really enjoyed them i fell i already had enough musouslop...
Nintendo Musou tier list
Hyrule Warriors > Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes > Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity >> Fire Emblem Warriors
I have yet to play both FE games, but I like Age of Calamity more the the first HW
Not enough >s between AoC and FEW.
For me, swap Three Hopes and Age of Calamity
For me
it's evil mario
A real Fire Emblem Musou, the two ones that got released were trash
Gonna say it because no one else will;
Pokémon Musou
Zelda. Because they have already done two of those. You stupid frick.
I think a Mega Man Musou would be really cool. Sticking to one sub series or including all of the Mega Men would both leave room for lots of cool shit.

Hyrule Warriors still has 10 games left almost entirely untouched with the option to touch on the CDI games for gag characters or weapons.
You homosexuals are as embarrassing as the FE gays whining FE Warriors isn't wasting space on the D-listers
>how dare you want fan service in your fan service game
See yourself out.
You would have a point IF IntSys itself wasn't having a meltdown over character choices in FEMusous
Protip: They were
Also lol, FEBros is getting uppity for no reason again
I want the Warriors series to have Fire Emblem support conversations in all its games .
Probably a Tears of the Kingdom one only if Age of Calamity did well, though I don't know if it did.

It did just fine, barely fine one may say.
Pokemon. They already did it with Conquest, but I'd love to see a 3D game for it
>Dimentio in a Musou
I would nut with the force of a thousand suns.
I wonder what the ratio of musou fans to fans of the original series is for these.
>Regular Mario cast
>Kongs
>WarioWare cast
>Joke characters (Goomba, Baby Mario, RPG fat Yoshi)
>Paper Mario
>SMB3 Bowser with Koopalings as attacks
cast
>>Joke characters (Goomba, Baby Mario, RPG fat Yoshi)
Mario
these wouldn't happen, expect maybe goomba
Mario
Actually, Paper Mario is canon to the Mario universe through the last Mario & Luigi game, where it is shown that the world of Paper Mario is a separate universe that exists within a book.
I think splatoon could work. Most of the weapons are already short ranged and could be adapted into "melee" movesets pretty easily.
it could work but it would probably require the main enemies to be octarians for the 4 gojillion time
if they did do it they could do something really cool and have 3 way battle between the inklings (the player), octarians and salmonids

Sailor Moon!
Making the Koopalings separate slots rather than just one slot but each Koopalings plays like a different weapon is dumb.
Xenoblade if they don't decide to do FE Engage Warriors.
