Gran Turismo 5. No question its why I bought a ps3. I bought a new wheel for it too, a mid range one with proper gearstick so it wasn't dirt cheap. I must have played sub 50 hours. It just was not good. Probably the realest example of mediocre I can point to in gaming.
The PS3 as a system even more so. It was the gen when it started going wrong for Sony.
Diablo 3. I knew based on Starcraft 2 and the state of WoW at the time that it didn't have much hope, but I was younger and allowed myself to be passionate about its release. I foolishly wrote and appealed to Blizzard on how to course correct after they released some bad looking preview images, but didn't realise just how thoroughly gone the company was.
Whatever hope I had left for vidya died with Cyberpunk's release. Now I hate everything made after the 20th of September, 2004.
Last Guardian is so shit it didnt even attract enough autists to make a decent wiki.
Did you know there’s actually four distinct types of enemy knights with totally different armor and abilities?
Well you wont find any decent pictures of them online because almost everyone quit two hours in kek
City was great what are you talking about?
Knight fricked it up with its awful story, overuse of the bat tank, lack of any real boss fights, and turning the side content into boring Ubisoft tier checklists.
Yeah I liked City, but I just dont see how they could have elaborated on the formula or brought anything new to the table. Knight seemed like proof of this - all they added was the tank which didn't appeal to me
Getting into Xenogears and Xenosaga like a year ago only to get to Xenoblade and fricking vomit at the awful cheap asiatic arpg gameplay. I want strictly turn-based gameplay from Monolith Soft. I'm pounding so much salt still. Prior to that was Halo 4 releasing.
Can’t believe I fell for the hype for this one. Sudagays with their Kill The Past universe shit really convinced me that it would be an amazing conclusion that ties everything together.
I loved The Last Guardian. Most recently I was disappointed by FFXVI. Liked the trailers, thought the demo was amazing, but the longer the game went on the astronomically worse it got.
Even when Final Fantasy versus XIII was rebranded into Final Fantasy XV,
the game still looked kino in both story and gameplay.
It was until more trailers came out that the transformation became more and more apparent to everyone.
Whats the significance of this image? I've never played the mgs games but know the general plot and some of the twists in 5
Red Dead Redemption 2. Everyone else loved it but I hated it.
For me, red dead 2 was great except the story. Sure it has some high points, but ultimately the political pandering and the utter ridiculousness of some of the situations they find themselves in really destroyed my suspension of disbelief. RDR1 had such a tighter story. But again, I want to reiterate that the high points of RDR2 were really good - I loved the arc late in the game with the native tribe and Captain Monroe, and Hosea dying was emotional as hell. Even the part with guarma, which was really unbelievable and silly at times, at least was interesting and different from a gameplay perspective. I really hated the part with that italian mobster in St Dennis, Dutch especially was just acting like a moron and I hate that it gets chalked up to "oh he's delusional, he's insane, etc" when he made better decisions not even 30 minutes earlier. I don't know, its so jarring at times.
There are two Ishmael's breaking out of the hospital with Venom/Medic. How can that be possible? Big Boss is not going to be in the hospital losing in CQC to Quiet and risking his life with no weapons to get his body double out alive. He viewed Venom as one of his best men and a perfect candidate to play the second Big Boss. Venom got himself out of the hospital on his own, he passed the test. The rest is all hallucinations and events being jumbled up because it's how the narrator/player tells it. Call me Ishmael.
Final Fantasy X. After 6-9 I couldn't believe what a pile of shit it was and it still makes me seethe to this day because somehow people widely regard it as one of the best ones.
Duke Nukem Forever, obviously.
I liked The Last Guardian.

Better question would be:
"What game weren't you disappointed by?"
I can tell you've never raised a dog irl
Based
Mass effect 3
Starcraft 2

Either Mass Effect 3 or Dark Souls 3

Didn't help that it was unplayable without a Pro console
Beat it on PS4 Slim and absolutely loved it. One of the GOATs
I was about to play this for the first time on my PS5
is it really that bad?
If you liked Ico or Shadow of the Colossus you’ll probably like it. Be prepared for the bird dog’s A.I. to be annoying sometimes though.
Mine was the fact that they stopped making games
Top 3 for me are MGS4, Dishonored 2, and Batman Arkham Knight.
Idk how people played the batman games after city. Its all the same. What did you expect, and why was knight such a letdown?

WC3 Reforged
I didn't expect anything but they retroactively destroyed their game

The last guardian is a masterpiece.
Unironically skyrim
SMT x FE (Also known as Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE)
It turns out it was actually Persona x Persona (featuring Marth from the Fire Emblem series)
NMH3

bioshock infinite
So glad I torrented this shitty game instead of buying it. Didn't even bother finishing it

MGSV
Last time a trailer fooled me into thinking a game is going to be Kino as frick
MGS V is a work of art. Let me guess you got filtered by the story and think open world should mean things happening everywhere

Played all the classic Final Fantasys for first time recently, 10 was my favorite. 8 was the worst.
mgs5 for me
Red Dead Redemption 2. Everyone else loved it but I hated it.
Nier Replicant
>Pic related.
