Not really. It was hinted at with that weird mural in the hills, but it made it seem like some cool ancient phenomenon. Nothing really hinted at the existence of that Pokemon.
I thought “oh shit, this is a cool design.” Then you catch it, it becomes a digimon, and you never get to use the cool giant hand form yourself (no the one move animation doesn’t count).

for a moron that cant read and understand basic hints like a brainless newborn watching a baby cartoon, sure. For a normal sentient brain, everything hinted to Eternatus, let alone the literal story mentioning him.
You look at gigantamax and think its a random thing. Youre just mentally handicapped. Therefore the fault isnt of gamefreak. Gigantamax does more than enough to hint at the power of eternamax, and really at the basic lore of pokemon

you remember me from 1 straight year ago but couldnt understand basic pokemon lore in all of this time you played pokemon? Eternatus isnt the only one that holds the lore together actually its every third legendary since gen 4. Actually in gen 4 and 5 its all the main legendaries since theyre originally the same entity. Just every gen expands on this by making the third legend always more complex and important. In fact, Terapagos already says more about it without even having shown his biggest form. Hell, even only from the map of paldea it was obvious. But you couldnt even come to the obvious conclusion of why theres a giant crater in the middle of it. Youre like the npcs in pokemon that circle around the truth but never see it. Like the npcs in paldea that circle around the crater, use terastal and say that the scarlet book is fiction, yet...
>you remember me from 1 straight year ago
Of course. I tend to remember e-schizos because they're my favorite kind of Internet weirdo.
You also did your "my jigglypuff is so pink" thing at least once in the last week, so if I hadn't remembered you, that would've jogged my memory.
You fricking schizo.
He thinks his ideas are genuinely obvious and refuses to explain them because seeing how many people (literally everyone in the entire world) can't figure out something so obvious makes him feel superior.
He will never come to the conclusion that actually is obvious, which is that he's a schizophrenic who is imagining things.
What should I say? Should I explain the entire lore to you? Giants have been mentioned back in gen 4 already and theres also other hints in gen 3 already regarding their lore. I mean arguably since gen 2 since unown are cells of a giant

Theres a pretty big group of pokemon fans in my country that actually can read the dialogues and a very smart dude that makes video of em. Every other person doing pokemon lore videos though its just headcanon on idiotic shit like 'le speculative ancestry of pokemon' or a lot of cherrypicked bullshit thrown all over the place. The majority is always stupid as hell and pokemon is overall genius and hella metaphorical too that has so much content, its too hard for modern people to recognize any of that. Like sugimori said they make a pokemon that dribbles something in every gen. Who would even ever guess this? And thats pretty much the same with everything else except most patterns are much more obvious
Is this about the different titan pokemon?
Which of the things I said? The titans are basically the same as the totems from alola. And theres a reason why they get bigger.
This. Better to take your "allies" out first, then fight Eternatus.
[...]
No it wasn't. The music was anticlimactic and the howling ruined it even more.
Eternamax' theme when he nullifies your moves is good tho. First time i saw that scene it felt really intimidating. Only eternamax existing crumples arceus's dimension
Kanto had more lore than whatever this was supposed to be lol
Like what? Humans that make mewtwo? Kanto lore is so earthly and monodimensional. Its very cool, but compared to every other gen its really small. Mew only got relevant again in gen 7 due to lore about UBs posted only on japanese.
Anyway, for a starter it was still incredible. The most important pokemon in there wasnt even supposed to be there even though mewtwo was there, and they ended up calling event mons "mythical" because of players hearing of them in urban legends. Just knowing this, its so dumb to think that pokemon has no deep lore. They obviously think this profoundly

Well Eternamax isnt just "a random alien" and for instance neither is Deoxys, or any other third legendary that also falls from out of earth (except maybe rayquaza)
Eternamax is one of the Giants mentioned in gen 4 in the story of the creation of the multiverse on the plates. Theres too much to say about it, but every third legendary after gen 4 gen 4 included is the part of a giant/whats left of them after theyve been destroyed by arceus. this is confirmed by a lot of things, a lot of elements that connect all of these creatures, that no other pokemon have or are capable of, and their innate gigantism.

Yes, the giants. The giants are what the pokemon reality even is, what pokemon even are and what the multiverse is even made of. Humans too, considering the original creature (and because humans are just the furthest thing from a giant but they were just like other earth's pokemon in the past)
imagine making an 1 hour video spewing headcanon to justify a coherence pokemon lore when gamefreak doesnt even spend 2 seconds working on it
bullshit. theyre way too specific elements to be randomic. youre absurdly stupid to even believe that something like eternamax, looking the way he looks, distorting space and time, etc etc etc could be random. Let alone when all these things are repeated multiple times.
Some of these didnt even make it to the final games or are only somewhere never translated from japanese. Like that kyurem's stone is called the godstone

Well thats not a random name either. Its not random that Kyurem comes from space and that his crater's gigantic (has even giant in the name). Its not random that hes made of stone as well as zekrom and reshiram and they can exist as stones. Its not random that he has a core. Not random that it can divide in pieces and that those pieces can be individually sentient. Not random that its so hostile and ate humans. Its all carefully thought
9 months ago

Of course it is not random, they came up with some background lore for kyurem, but that doesnt mean it is connect to a bigger picture with eternatus besides their common theme of being alien
9 months ago

all of those and more are common themes and they are with every other third legend too. And its written lore. the giants exist, that you accept it or not. the bigger picture was made in gen 4, and ever since gen 1 all gamefreak has done is expanding the world and the boundaries of the pokemon lore. You want to think it stopped at gen 4, but it didnt. Arceus ximself is an icon of the "bigger picture", being a typeless "god" using elements that dont belong to it. Who created the trees and the waters and literally everything else? The powers of the giants. Gen 4 lore.

I'm not saying that Cydo copies theories from reddit, I said inspired by, not copied from...
Next, I was talking of a theory that I read on an Italian forum where they talked about the fourth state of matter.
The Giant theory is a really beautiful theory, Regigigas that loves the humans and the other things, but Cydo is also a good entertainer, and his theories are always good to listen, but they are theories...
He even said during a video that he is not saying what is it in the game, but they are always theories from scratch that try to link and create some worldbuilding based from the supposed canon of the franchise, because there were many fans that started their discussions with "but Cydonia said this...".
I don't know if you remember when Cydonia was only one of the four people that created the weekly articles of the library of the Old Chateau on the famous theories headcanons created by the Fandom as like the famous war theory of. Lt. Surge... He was always linked to theories.
The only theories he really confirmed are the Zygarde cell melmina verde and the Hawaii of Alola from the rainbow on the car of the firefighters with Blastoise from the first teaser trailer for Sun/Moon, which it was the moment that Cydo became a thing too big to be ignored.
I love the Giant Theory, but I don't know how much it is only a something that Cydo would love it to be real.

First of, the Giants arent a theory, it's an ingame lore. The GAMES mention the giants as the owners of the elements stolen by arceus and that arceus destroyed. Even the same concept and even gameplay of arceus is based on this, and so is type null. Its not a theory. The giants exist in the games and lore, it has nothing to do with theories.
Then, cydonia makes actual theories and fiction that he doesnt try to sell as real, but when he makes actual lore videos or speculates he also says he takes them in the most grounded and simple way so he doesnt do improbable circles around them, and hes also just too humble after that so many of his "theories" and research has showed things for how they are that nobody else got to and have been confirmed to be real. He still says that the theory of imagination of gen 9 is a theory, but much like all the other things he says, it's actually already canonic and implied by everything in the games. Theres no way paradoxes are actual past and future pokemon, yet he still says that it's a theory, although it isn't. Regardless when cydonia speculates, like what he speculated about regarding the giants before gen 8 literally splatted giants on your face, he just speculates on things that exist and are canon. The giants are canon and they exist, and multiple things confirm that eternamax is one of them. Cydonia doesnt invent anything, he's just hella intuitive. He got to paradoxes being a product of imagination before even playing the games and reading the dialogues. Because he just can see the lore and understand a story, unlike the vast majority of imbeciles, beyond only pokemon too. It's not like theres anyone that has any explanation for anything in pokemon unless its something super autistic like redditor theories. Its literally either what cydonia says or "pokemon has no lore, concepts or inspirations" due to brainless freaks that dont know anything.

I'm not against the imagination theory, first.
Second, Canalipoli library says that Giant exists, yes, but Gigantimax is not the same thing as Giants, because it talks about some giants that Arceus fought before the creation of the plates.
Lore is nothing, lore doesn't exists, i respect Cydonia theories, maybe He now is much better than before in his theories, but the famous alchemic theory of Sun/Moon was wrong...
And also, he is for imagination theory, but the Giant theory revolves around time travel, and now that the game talks about time travel He is not convinced...

For example I can ask you, if the giants arent eternamax and the others, who are they?
If eternamax isnt a giant who is he?

Honestly the fact that the box legend just kinda shows up out of nowhere and pretty resolves the conflict for you is the most insulting part. It's so hard to care about any of the things happening there.
it's really hard to care about that whole fricking game with the way it simultaneously makes sure you know you're special and also thinks you're moronic
Agreed. Ultra Necrozma was cool because you were alone in an alien world with only your team, no gimmicks. Eternatus felt like "hey moron, we know people complained about Ultra Necrozma, so here's some overpowered legendaries to do all the fighting for you".
Confusion because my level 100 cinderace I used to rape raid mons with was cowering in fear unable to attack and also because this shit came out of nowhere
Optimistic, sadly it's a glorified cutscene considering only the dogs do actual damage to it
Lusamine and the robot professors are better overall final fights

If eternamax isnt a giant who is he?
obviously "le alien" isnt an answer. And not only that, pokémon has demonstrated again and again to have a deep specific and intricate lore for literally everything you see. If you think it doesnt, you just dont know, and cant read or have the span of attention of a brainless toddler
Giants are not pokemons we are going to see, Eternamax is not an alien nor a giant, its a poison Dragon and the first poison legendary who rapresents corruption of the nature in state of decay.
>For example I can ask you, if the giants arent eternamax and the others, who are they?
They aren't pokemon. They existed before the Original One, and before the current world.
>If eternamax isnt a giant who is he?
A pokemon.
Kyurem has nothing to do with the sinnoh dragons, and both the lore of kyurem and sinnoh dragons is outlined already. Cydonia never says this.
You cant say "the *thing that games mention and talk about and build the entire story around* is a theory", it simply makes 0 sense. Youre clearly too illiterate to even understand what cydonia talks about, let alone if you had to understand the dialogues yourself lol. Btw cydonia made a video on morons like you that accuse him of copying reddit handicapped theories
?si=VEABCl0_aRJ-thjV
You should watch it because you literally repeated a similar absurdity
Is this about the different titan pokemon?
>soikemon
>lore
>being the buildup to him
>8 generations of lore
>8
wut Black person?
It was genuinely insane to me. It was a really cool moment and reminded me of Ultra Necrozma. A Pokemon that's just a big alien hand is metal af.
it's much more than that. for the very few of us that know the pokemon lore this was a really cool moment.
Kanto had more lore than whatever this was supposed to be lol
Metalheads are the cringiest motherfrickers I can think of. And that's saying a lot, considering I browse a Pokémon board.
I thought “oh shit, this is a cool design.” Then you catch it, it becomes a digimon, and you never get to use the cool giant hand form yourself (no the one move animation doesn’t count).
Didn’t care for it. Ugly design and boring story.
>wow, big hand
>this theme isn’t very interesting
>oh, i’m not actually doing anything
>oh wow the theme is howling lmao
Honestly the fact that the box legend just kinda shows up out of nowhere and pretty resolves the conflict for you is the most insulting part. It's so hard to care about any of the things happening there.
it's really hard to care about that whole fricking game with the way it simultaneously makes sure you know you're special and also thinks you're moronic
This. Better to take your "allies" out first, then fight Eternatus.
No it wasn't. The music was anticlimactic and the howling ruined it even more.
Agreed. Ultra Necrozma was cool because you were alone in an alien world with only your team, no gimmicks. Eternatus felt like "hey moron, we know people complained about Ultra Necrozma, so here's some overpowered legendaries to do all the fighting for you".
the music was nice, especially when the dogs come to save the day
“Fricking hate this soulless shit so fricking much”
Confusion because my level 100 cinderace I used to rape raid mons with was cowering in fear unable to attack and also because this shit came out of nowhere
laughter because the fricking awful ost with stock wolf howls kicked in
Yeah, I just had a good laugh about how dumb everything was
My ace was greedent so this was extra funny, what the frick was GF thinking?
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, the vast majority of pokegays act like mainlike Pokemon OST's are as good as ever.
I don't like "Pokemon" that are just jumbled masses.
Its was very well played moment until wolfs joined and made it so antyclimaticly easy
Already heard about it on /vp/. I was just mindlessly mashing A & B so I can finish this pos already.
Optimistic, sadly it's a glorified cutscene considering only the dogs do actual damage to it
Lusamine and the robot professors are better overall final fights
We never got to use it, so it’s not a real Pokémon.
the howls were cringe
Yeah, that happened.
"Cool design."
"Man this game is dogshit."
Something like that.
Was pretty boring.
Felt added to story at last minute.
Can't even have it become its boss form.
Zacian crown is immune to both of its stab moves so it doesn't even work as a cool anti-box legendary mon.
Shit shiny
Half baked skeleton dragon design
Cool typing but it's in a digimon
>Zacian crown is immune to both of its stab moves so it doesn't even work as a cool anti-box legendary mon.
Well yeah the intention is that the dogs counter Eternatus
"I better be able to use this form."
I wasn't able. I was disappointed.
My first reaction was: Are they copying Earthbound?
My second reaction was: This is just Necrozma all over again. Frick.
neat cutscene I guess? the game was trying to build hype but wasn't close to ultra necrozma or raidon vs raidon levels
I shidded
I haven’t played any of the Switch Pokémon games
Apathy.
