You know what bothers me most about that P3P screenshot? They made the blue textbox cursor for advancing the test rectangular, when the original was circular. So now it doesn't fix the textbox, which is still circular/rounded. It might just be the fact I've been writing UI code for the past five months though.

I also feel that the number of people who have either a PS4 or Switch exclusively are smaller than you think; with the 4 year gap between their releases I wouldn't be surprised if a substantial number of people, even a majority, have both.

P5 was a huge graphical leap from P4 though. It would be pretty disappointing if P6 looked the same as P5 or worse because it has to run on hardware of the same quality however many years later.
Consider that P5 was originally a PS3 game. P6 can look like a PS4 game and be an improvement from P5, while still being dated enough that the Switch can run it (at half framerate with lower res textures).

Lower quality presentation overall, people like it for FeMC and being able to control your teammates. Atlus could've just modified FES to fix that as a mod was able to do something like that.
Plenty of shitty gameplay changes like not being able to use different weapon types. Fusion spells are items you need to trade for in portable. No animated cutscenes, no cutscenes using characters models. It's a visual novel. The camera in the 3d segments of tartarus is zoomed in too close. You can't study after going out in the evening anymore. You have to pay to heal your HP and SP when you return to the Tartarus lobby, which is a shit anti-grind mechanic since your characters already get tired and perform worse in combat and then leave when you returned to the lobby. The only good thing about P3P objectively is the option to control your party and skill cards.

Probably because Persona, on the rare chance that they do put games on platforms other than Sony, has consistently underperformed on those platforms. The first Persona Q was pretty much the only one that sold anything worth a shit. It's only with P4G's PC release that they've finally gotten any indication that Persona releases outside of Sony can get traction, even P5S sold worse on Switch than on PS4 or Steam.

P5 was a huge graphical leap from P4 though. It would be pretty disappointing if P6 looked the same as P5 or worse because it has to run on hardware of the same quality however many years later.
Consider that P5 was originally a PS3 game. P6 can look like a PS4 game and be an improvement from P5, while still being dated enough that the Switch can run it (at half framerate with lower res textures).

Because Atlus is lazy. They came up with some lame excuse that the stories of P4 and P5 wouldn't work with a female protagonist, but there are shitloads of ways you could still move those plots along with a FEMC with only minor rewrites.

Lower quality presentation overall, people like it for FeMC and being able to control your teammates. Atlus could've just modified FES to fix that as a mod was able to do something like that.

Plenty of shitty gameplay changes like not being able to use different weapon types. Fusion spells are items you need to trade for in portable. No animated cutscenes, no cutscenes using characters models. It's a visual novel. The camera in the 3d segments of tartarus is zoomed in too close. You can't study after going out in the evening anymore. You have to pay to heal your HP and SP when you return to the Tartarus lobby, which is a shit anti-grind mechanic since your characters already get tired and perform worse in combat and then leave when you returned to the lobby. The only good thing about P3P objectively is the option to control your party and skill cards.
Gameplay is objectively worse due to running on the casualized P4 system instead of what was originally in P3. "But le tactics" isn't an excuse because they could've easily added that in to the existing system, instead they half-assed it to cater to the P4 audience.
And of course the cutscenes are cut down and replaced with half-assed VN shit which is kind of important when half the game is life sim. This is legitimately bad enough that major plot important scenes are completely incomprehensible if you haven't already played FES to know what's going on, because the VN scenes do a shit job of describing things.

Probably because Persona, on the rare chance that they do put games on platforms other than Sony, has consistently underperformed on those platforms. The first Persona Q was pretty much the only one that sold anything worth a shit. It's only with P4G's PC release that they've finally gotten any indication that Persona releases outside of Sony can get traction, even P5S sold worse on Switch than on PS4 or Steam.

Indifference. I played these via emulation (or in Golden's case with a hacked PS TV, and in Royal's case my neighbor's PS4) years ago and have no real desire to revisit them in the near future. Doubly so when P3P looks like ass.

I already knew 100% it was being announced. When people were scared it wasnt during xbox announcement, I remembered back during Dark Souls 3 everyone thought it was xbox exclusive. Its just they werent going to advertise other companies
I think the source for all the shitposting was the press release. It specified Steam and PS5 ports, but it had no mention of the Switch. So, people assumed that a Switch port wasn't happening.
Even though Nintendo has a history of reserving announcements for Directs. And Atlus/SEGA probably agreed since the Switch port is the only one most people, especially Japs, care about.

You misunderstood my post. Both versions launch at the same day, which means the Deck isn't getting it before the Switch or even the Xbox. Therefore, those posts are wrong.
