People wanted Fallout with friends and they made a shitty RUST knockoff. When people complained about PvP theyzde it voluntary. This pissed off those that were excited for RUST Fallout edition.

They actively worked to antagonize every single possible customer.

      What is intersex. Explain...

        Anonymous

every person starts fetal development as female before chromosomes determine if they continue down that path or diverge to male, in rare cases this transition doesnt fully complete and you get people with both sets of genitals (generally one or both malformed or non functional), hormone issues etc. Each individual is a bit different and often at birth doctors just end up going "uh, the penis looks a bit more formed lets so up the vegana" or visa versa. Its a rough edge case for a person to fall into

          Anonymous

This isn't really true, less than 1000 people in the whole of human history have ever have both make and female genital tissue. The issue you described is androgen insensitivity, which ends with someone whole functionally female but has balls instead of ovaries.

Point is intersex doesn't equal hermaphrodites.

I enjoyed it a lot. I actually think it's a better game than vanilla Fallout 4.

I would probably only ever pick it back up if a friend wanted to play it, though. The GaaS-model content they try to keep it alive with was not at all compelling, and it looks like that hasn't changed.

      Because it is, hands down.

      Anonymous

It is, because it fully embraces what it wanted to be at least.
Base building makes sense because you can show it off and resources are limited.
Perk cards make sense because you can shuffle builds without replaying the game.
Shit procedural quests make sense because it’s a service game with a battle pass.
Dialogue barely matters, but there’s only a few NPC’s so who cares.

FO4 stuck somewhere in the middle without a real identity. And all the features mentioned above seem out of place.

Same thing happened with No Man's Sky. They are both shit games but they released in a worse state so everyone's expectations were so low that literally any small improvement makes the game amazing to morons.

This. I tried to play it after seeing so many “DUDE ITS FIXED LMAO” threads but it’s still a laggy, janky mess. All the players left are high level autistic kids, quests are buggy and you can’t complete main quests in a group, if you want to complete the story each member of your party needs to interact with the same npc and go through the same dialog or you’ll all have to act like companions for one player.

        > high level autistic kids
Tbh leveling doesn’t really slow down so you get to a 100 rather quickly and after 50 you stop progressing so it’s not like it really matters.

It's one of those things where people hyperfocus on the buggy state of the game, to the point where they start believing that bugs and jank are the only major problems. When in reality, even if the game was totally polished to a shine, it's still fundamentally dogshit because it's just a fallout themed rust clone rather than a proper fallout game.

Same deal with other stuff like cyberpunk 2077. "oh it's fixed now!". Who gives a frick about glitches when the main problem is that it's a shitty GTA clone rather than a cyberpunk RPG

        Anonymous

True for F76 and NMS, but I think Cyberpunk is fine at the core. It may not have delivered on all the overhyped expectations but it’s a fine game. Definitely one of the better RPGs in the recent years.

If you buy the game now, what content do you actually have included?
What content is only available as an additional purchase/subscription?
Is there enough content in the base game to justify a purchase + playthrough?

      Anonymous

      >If you buy the game now, what content do you actually have included?
Literally everything that has ever bene released sicne 2018, with the exception of Nuclear Winter- it never left the open beta and it was removed shortly after.
      >What content is only available as an additional purchase/subscription?
      Nothing.
1st is just QOL and a monthly supply of Atoms, the mtx currency.
      >Is there enough content in the base game to justify a purchase + playthrough?
Yeah, there are at least 100 hours worth of content.
Actual content. Quests, locations, factions, items, npcs, events etc.
Appalachia is spectacular, one of the best maps they've ever made.

It’s alright to frick around and finish the quests/explore the map but don’t give them more than 10$
A lot of things are still broken. It’s full of glitches and combat is ass.
I enjoyed some bits here and there but I got it for “free” on PS+ so it’s hard to judge the value.

After the launch they clearly gave up on the plans for paid expansions like ESO, and ran to make the subscription model and force it on everyone to try and recoup their losses.
It worked, and they regularly push out content. Not particularly meaningful or deep content, usually just events in fact, and updates they do push out tend to remove as much as they add, but they are putting stuff out.
I like the nuka world on tour stuff a lot, the launch for that was very fun.
I don't like how to get private worlds you have to pay like fricking $10 a month, but thankfully most people will set up private instances for you for ingame items no problem so you can dick around in your own world with no issues and farm mats or do quests or whatever you're trying to do.

The gameplay is just hyperfocused typical mmo shit where they rotate what's good and what's bad almost on a schedule, and everything else is so less efficient that it can cost you minutes of nuke bosses.
I honestly, genuinely, no memeing thought 76 had one ofthe best battle royales on the market and they threw it away. What a complete and total fricking joke.

Just gonna ignore them removing 2-3 world events every update? Completely removing vaults, game modes, raids, questlines? Content and items? base items, but still items like ammo converter that took FOREVER to be brought back, as a paid item instead of a free one?

It was way too ambitious for Bethesda's secondary team. It's been years since it came out and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't a fan of Fallout.

I had my fun with it, and I do try out the new content when it comes out but it's reached a point like GTA Online. I play it for like a day or two then go back to what I was playing before the update came out.

I really liked it after the wastelands update or whatever added all the npc and actual story to the game. They really need to add more story stuff and less daily stupid grinds and shitty "dungeons". But it seems like they wrapped up the brotherhood story and just fricked off of that, sad.

        Anonymous

the economy of the game is fricked beyond redemption.
most of the currencies and the content associated with them should have been dlcs or story-based locations instead of daily quests.
clearing eviction notice for the 100th time is not an ideal fallout experience.

nothing went wrong, however the currencies are MMO-lite shit and as i said, the pitt and all of the stuff should have been a simple story freeroam area.
