why do these games even exist? They have literally nothing new to offer
Come up with some rules on procedures or some shit, jesus

Look up "Tenga". He knows what he posted.
As a GM, I like how relatively easy compared to previous d20 games it is to add class levels to improve monsters. If you wanted to add wizard levels to a giant or demon you were basically making them weak. In 3.5 it was better to add wizard or cleric levels than it was adding fighter levels most of the time (which started my "ogre rogues" cheat). Pathfinder made certain classes very good to add to monsters (starting the succubus bloodrager cheat)
In Starfinder you just add a class graft. Boom, the monster is an effective technomancer without stat bloat. As a GM I prefer the stat bloat because I'm a dick, but I do feel like it's an objectively better system in that regard.
There could have been several times the cool items or even an entire additional class if they stuck to scaling by exponentially more expensive modifiers instead of wasting page space on bespoke "X but YeS instead" permutations.
The "Fantasy Mass Effect" aesthetic. It's fairly unique and had real potential, especially if they'd leaned more into the classic-fantasy-in-space (but they ultimately didn't).
That's it. That's the only good thing. It was a coold idea, but the execution is complete and utter dogshit, wholly inexcusable in every way.
>people overblow and lie
No. You're full of shit. The itemization is both nonsensical and boring, both which are cardinal sins in an RPG. The scaling in all regards is off the fricking charts and cannot be reasonably rationalized in-universe from a character perspective, and it all functions in such a way, deeply embedded in the assumed progression of the game, that it cannot be homebrewed out.
And that's just the looting treadmill, not even going into the other shit, like ship progression/customization. Completely fricking moronic, impossible to immerse yourself in or take seriously, and you'd have to turn of your brain (if you'd have one) to not notice.
Sir, in these trying times, may I offer you a lol
Oh, what the heck, you look like you need it. Have a lmao. MFW I agree with Paizo on everything political and just don't like playing their games.
The bounty of playable races was fun, the setting was neat, and the weapon customization was pretty great. Everything else fell between "workable" and "actively bad". Unfortunately, the starship combat, which was supposed to be a central part of the game, deep into the "actively bad" category. They're doing a revised version though so I'll check that out whenever it releases.
The new optional rules for the upcoming starfinder book make it so that Starship combat is more of a narraitive thing than am entire subsystem so Starship encounters are solved in a couple of rolls instead
Optional rules... Ok...
I'm hoping that this is something they'll amend later on because... on a sci fi space setting that is not acceptable at fricking all.
Actually I was just thinking the opposite. If none of the players are playing pilots then "Joker flies the Normandy to victory cutscene" is a fine way to do it.
Nothing.

Those are suicide gauntlets.

OP outside of the general, you aren't going to have people talk nicely about Paizos games because everyone has a stick up there ass about politics

people like space games.
players getting to be able to go anywhere they want with a space ship is neat.
I cant wait to get 2nd edition
The monster manuals were great for alien space fantasy hijinks.
These little homies crack me up.

Nothing. troony finder is not actually a good game and neither a good setting.

the new starship rules are narraitige freeform
Wait, what?

Nice space game, SFriends.
Cool spaceships you've got there. Pray tell me, how much are them?
