i had played the game like 5 hours and hadnt gotten to any real gameplay. so many fricking cutscenes. normally im the biggest defender of cutscenes such as in yakuza, but at least in games like that or rpgs they have a purpose. a silly platformer like psychonauts never needed to be so fricking heavy on story and cutscenes.
the first game had just enough to set up the premise and get in some humor but then it just let you play the fricking game.
by the time you get to the game its pretty much the exact same as the first game, but whereas the graphics got prettier the level design seems to have gotten duller and lazier. the combat just isnt satifying at all and it has dk64 levels of too much collectible shit.
by the time i got halfway through the first actual level, the casino, i was bored out of my mind
The game is really good, although maybe the only thing that went wrong is how rushed the end felt
