Apple’s great, what’s your issue? Get ghosted by a girl when she saw your green text? Xbox was green. Green is the color of illness and puke. Face it, windows products are not cool. And that makes you very uncool if you use them.
I love this little thing. You don't need more. If only developers were studying how to get every last drop of computing power out of it like an xbox 360.
the only advantage consoles have over PCs is physical media.
the series s can run less games, and worse, than a 2014 android phone
if i had been allowed to install either linux OR windows on the series x, i would have bought 5 of them.
it never happened
>What went so wrong?
It was meant to be behind the XSX in sales, and (in Microsoft fantasy world) be a secondary console at people's homes, like in the bedroom, while the XSX was in the living room as the main entertaining center.
In the real world however it became the best seller because it was cheaper and people just want to play FIFA and Fortnite. That, plus the fact nobody had physical XBone discs because nobody fricking bought an XBone, made the XSX less appealing for the masses. >Its concept was very good so why didn't people want it?
It's the other way around. It outsold the XSX.
That's because phones aren't designed as video game consoles. They're fricking phones that you use to contact other people. Video games and other entertainment apps are a bonus to the main feature.
An Xbox is a video game console first and foremost but for some reason Microsoft keeps insisting on viewing it as anything but one.
would you carry a phone around with you at all times if it had its calling/messaging features removed or paywalled behind a subscription service that requires a constant internet connection? most likely not
the series s is a game console that's exactly like that
If you were already an Xbro, you wanted the system that could run your old games. If you weren't, then Xbox didn't really give you a reason to buy into their ecosystem so you got a PS5 or PC instead. There was no market for it other than as a cheap Game Pass machine or as a kids first console.
software issue like almost every console that dies. What fricking reason is there to buy Xbox? There isn't any. All their games are on PC. They have no worthwhile exclusives. They are not cheaper. They cannot be played on the go. Their online is not superior. They have no competitive advantage and have been relying on inertia from the heyday of the Xbox 360. That inertia was not enough. Time's up.

>All digital
>Lower spec
>Price still expensive in some parts of the world
It was utilitarian.
It wasn’t cool.
What's the culture in Apple products? ripping off roasties and boomers with their shit spec'd products?

>incel thinks buying an overpriced iBrick somehow makes him not a virgin loser.
Can you consoom /wsg/ webm slop on iPhone yet?
It's not Nintendo

There are more Series S’s than Series X fyi. Ganker eternally just lies.

SHOW ME A 2014 ANDROID PHONE THAT CAN PLAY STARFIELD
I'll wait. Go on. Go ahead and show me. Now. Go and find me some proof.
the proof was revealed to me in a dream
>STARFIELD
Oh yeah, that happened, 5 months ago
When's the next big XBOX game coming out?
Hellblade II and Indiana Jones in a couple months
A few weeks ago as Palworld
NO
DISC
DRIVE
For starters it's an Xbox. I'd list more but I stopped caring after that point.
Far better than a Playstation
Online store games are ridiculously expensive. And not much more powerful than previous gen.
Direct competition with Nintendo kiddies and pc gamers.
Think about who you'll be left with Sony friends.

>heavy push on subscription services
>good concept
I mean, is worked for cell phones.

More people use phones for video games and media consumption than they do for communication.

All digital failure.
What do you mean? It's their bestselling console. During COVID they sold a ridiculous number of units

I use mine for the backwards compatible games I own that aren't on other platforms.
Only the original xbox was any good. There is no point owning a series if you have a PC or even a PS5.
It was selling like gas and water in Brazil until they pumped the price up by like 80%
you can only fit 3 games on it and have to pay up the ass for extra storage
tbf xbox has less than 3 games so
I got one just to play NInja Gayden Blacked and NG2, also got DMC5SE and Saints Row 2 aka best saints row game.
>Its concept was very good
>forcing developers to release two builds for the least sold console
>good concept

so you're basically saying it's over?

Why is anyone responding to OP as if his premise isn't a blatant fricking lie
I own a series S. I bought it as a literal GamePass machine. I’ve got another buddy with an S and one with a X. These stats don’t surprise me at all.
Not cheap enough
