Story is fricking garbage. And not even in the way like the first 2. Those excused themselves because they were still cool. This just has dumb multiverse shit.
Story in 1 and 2 were stupid but in a fun way, we all know they were just excuses for cool things to happen but they were kind of endearing.
Story in 3 was just so bad no amount of gameplay or cool moment can salvage it.

You homosexuals hate everything. Post things you like.
Are you anons moronic? Do you know how many cutscenes are in these games? Of course you can complain about the story. We're not talking about fricking Pong here.
>Those two were always set up to be a couple.
NTA but disagree. In the first game their entire schtick was that they WEREN'T a couple. Any time the game teased at a romantic moment it was immediately undermined for laughs. Luka was a loser and Bayo was an eternal wienertease. Bayo deliberately weaponizes sexual tension to put everyone off-guard, as a strategic advantage and for her own amusement.
Then in Bayonetta 2 Luka is barely in the story and there's nothing to indicate that they have any romantic connection at all.
If anything them actually getting together contradicts the first two games.
I'm not a yurishipper, I think it would have been best if Bayo never got truly romantic with anyone.
>In the first game their entire schtick was that they WEREN'T a couple.
You either aren't exposed to enough media or have actual autism. It is very apparent he is the love interest from the get go. His clownish nature specifically disarms bayonetta it was only going to end with them being together.
If you want to use the first game as your basis for everything then Jean was just a straight up villain in that game.
level design sucks
enemies are boring as sin aesthetically
abandoned the hand+feet weapon mechanic
bosses were kind of underwhelming
the rival in this one wasn't very fun either, though his ability to kill your summons was cool
Can't agree on the bosses, particularly Strider who I think mechanically is easily the best rival in the series even if he lacks the flashy encounters of Jeanne & Sage, but the rest is legit and I agree with it. That combined with the aforementioned awful story, Viola's gameplay feeling as incomplete as 4Nero without all the enemies being designed around it like 4Nero had, and the Switch kneecapping its performance makes Bayo 3 feel underwhelming despite still being good.
That said 1 > 3 > 2, and Origins is also great since it's the only Bayonetta game without some glaring flaws or "THAT Part" moments.
Literally nothing, what are you talking about? The combat is better then ever, the story is the best in the entire series; the villain is the best in the entire series; the alternate Bayonettas are fricking genius, the level variety is the best in the series, there is actual old-school arcade rail shooter gameplay in a modern videó game; Viola is a delightful additiom to the cast, and the game has the courage to kill off its lead character! That is how you bring change to a franchise!
Bayonetta 2 made Bayonetta 1 look like its beta version. Bayonetta 3 makes Bayonetta 2 look like a beta version, and Bayonetta 1 look like an alpha version. The original may still overall be the most feminist game in the trilogy; but in all other aspects there's just no fricking contest; Bayonetta 3 is easily the greatest game in its genre by a mile.
2 fold and both are messy and get people upset >nintendo exclusivity - the nintendo deal was just bad and always bad >alphabet people co-opting it as "their game" when it never was
It could have survived 1 or the other, but not both.
>release sequel to multiplatform game on the 1 console line it's pregenitor didn't release on.
It was a bad deal and always bad, that is where the series died it was bad business to do that regardless of the property or which system we are talking about. You don't put the sequel exclusive on a different system than the original game. It's just bad business acumen.
And people didn't buy it because the series was already on 3 when it got to theri platform.
People weren't going to go out and get all the releases to play this. That just wasn't ever going to happen. The audience for the games grew up on PS2 with DMC that audience didn't exist on nintendo platforms.
It is one of the worst exclusivity deals in gaming history, only going epic game store exclusivity is worse in modern memory.

this homosexual plays action games for the story

Bayo 1 and 2.
Do you complain about the story in porn too you absolute idiot?

Nothing. Great game across the board.
Too much dumb shit getting in the way of the actual gameplay.
It went het, forced hetshit at that
C’mon man, still putting the preferred pairing of the people who wrote the game over actual tangible issues 3 has?
>actual tangible issues 3 has
Like the forced romance between Bayo and Luka?
>forced
Those two were always set up to be a couple. Frick, forced? Kingdom of One is probably the most romantic moment in video game history!

Good. Suffer eternally, yuritroony

It's just completely directionless. Bayonetta but it's open world but there's a new monster mechanic but you also play as another character.
Devil May Cry came back.
This, DMC5s success indirectly tarnished bayo 3 by making the devs try and copy it
This is such a Mongolid take. Platinum really doesn't care about the rest of the industry.
Yeah that's why they're going full GaaS lol
I'm pretty sure they rewrote the story after DMC5 came out

The Bayo duology got ported to Switch before the third game came out.
And people didn't buy it because the series was already on 3 when it got to theri platform.

That really doesn't matter.
unlike witch time in the first game, bayo3 is design around the demon slave gimmick while bayo 1 wasn't design arounds its gimmick.
