Chased Xbox off the multiplatform cliff of giving potential customers reasons NOT to buy your product, and put all their eggs in one basket by going for AAA cinematic games that costs fortune.
consoles in general have been uninteresting since ps1/n64.
i got a PS5 recently as my first console since the original xbox because at least there are a couple of 'exclusives' that are decent, though they'll probably make their way to other consoles later
"no games" is literally how every console has looked to me compared to PC for 20 years now
the switch has less games than the ps5. >b-b-b-but exclusives
the console peasants still buying these things don't care.
all they care about is playing the newest biggest releases and the switches has none of those.
It's hilarious how this very simple sentence, a plain statement of facts, instantly makes snoyggers impotently shit themselves in rage and always gets them to try to refute it with objectively incorrect bullshit.
PC snobs are so weird, like the PC itself has no games and it’s not like you could emulate the consoles you hate so much back when they were a thing, hell you can only barely just emulate PS2 NOW. So did you just sit and fume at consoles for 18 years or something?
not a snob just sayin nothing on console looked interesting, after being pretty into ps1/n64 games, as soon as I started playing (yes, wc2 and sc) online for the first time around that time. played all the blizz games until wow's first expansion and all the other big ones on PC as well as emulating older games i'd skipped or missed out on. quality over quantity i guess
sometimes I would be tempted to get a console to try some of the newer JRPGs of the time, but I never had the time anyway. anything else just felt small. especially something like an FPS or RTS that was much better on PC anyway
maybe I missed out on shadow of the colossus or some shit idk. might go back and check out some of those gems
The switch has games
kinda. i've played other people's switches and the games are polished and focused on the right things (fun), but just aren't interesting enough to actually play for very long

actually no games. I bought GOWR, played it then put it back in it's box until the first rebirth demo came out a few weeks ago. Also it's too fricking big and you can't even set things on it.
>American >Not a console >AAA has been dead for over 10 years and started dying nearly 20 years ago >No one is unironically stupid enough to make AA titles right now
They literally only know how to follow the leader and that title has been split between themselves and a company that explicitly wants to kill the console industry since 8th gen.
obviously needs more exclusive games but other than that it's sold 50 million units and on track to outsell the ps4 so it's been 'successful' at least commercially speaking
SIX GAMES >FF16 (Soon on PC) >Spider-Man 2 (Soon on PC) >FF7 Rebirth (Soon on PC) >Rise of the Ronin (Soon on PC) >Stellar Blade (Soon on PC) >Wolverine (Coming to PC)
In the hypothetical situation that the Piss5 had games:
Why the FRICK would anyone buy the digital edition? You can't resell your disc-based games if you buy them digitally. And they're the same fricking price as physical, if not more. I just don't understand.
Tried to appeal to a single core market with expensive cinematic AAA games. They also thought it was a good idea to become the platform known for having less content in multiplats due to censorship. From a business standpoint alone this is baffling.
>Selling so "well" it cost Sony $10 billion dollars in company value because it missed projections and is tracking behind the PS4 while Sony is barely making any money off it.
kek
Yes sales are slowing down because it already has sold so well and production costs are no longer going down like they did in the past, so they cannot lower the price to the mass market price of $300.
>Behind the PS5 launch aligned >Subscriptions are dropping >Sony's president is looking to slash costs across the division in response >"But it sold so well!"
Now that's what I call cope!
yeah they don't make money on console sales. they lose money on them in order to sell the software which has huge margins once the development costs are recovered
guess people aren't buying many games on their ps5's tho
Graphichomosexualry + third party driven model. But mostly third party driven model; that's how you get no games, because relied on lazy israelites instead of yourself
>Rebirth >Rise of the Ronin >DD2 >Shadow of the Erdtree >Helldivers 2 >Pacific Drive >Stealing all of Xbox's shit
Nothing. It keeps winning. I'm drowning in vidya over here, now I just need Silksong and the prophecy is fulfilled.
Reasons:
- It's pretty much PS4 Pro 2nd iteration.
- The price and unique game list is not justifiable to hop from PS4 / PS4 Pro to PS5, given all of them share notably huge library and still grows.
- Maybe hardware-wise it can make solid platform for future games, but buying it at current state is just believing a promise that library will get better.
- Price tags for PS VR2 and attachable optical disc are fricking insane.
- Dualshock weak battery which won't last 2-3 days.
The only good use case is that you don't have PS4 nor Xbox and just want to have current-gen console to play. >t. PS5 user, I only had PS2 in the past
I'm in the same boat. Just got a PS5 and haven't had a console in a long time. Wanted ffvii rebirth without waiting this time and figure I can catch up on some ps4 games
Legit don't understand the debate still, both PC and PS5 play relatively the same amount of games, some exclusive to PC some PS5, both permanently, like Factorio and Bloodborne, or temporarily like Dave The Diver and Spider-Man. PS5 is clearly cheaper than an average PC that can run any modern game coming out today, so it's all about whether you are prepared to pay more or less to start playing vidya, any other debate is moronic.
Sony alienated previous customers with censorship and cultivated a audience of
walking simulator players.
In response they closed AA studios and double down on AAA unfortunately those games need ridiculously high budget and development time leading to sonys current problems of NO GAMES situation.
Meanwhile Nintendo has a wide range of customers >hardcore Nintendo fans >weebs/jrpg player >casuals >indie player
by having a more AA games Nintendo can bridge the time between major releases and fill the catalog of their console.
The Switch is also much cheaper to produce so they don't lose money like Sony with the ps5.
The current AAA formula is not sustainable and Sony is its first victim if you want to play games PC+Nintendo is the future.
No gaems, except literally and unironically.
Games?
No Syphon Filter trilogy remake, instead we got TLOU Part II remastered.
No games
Killed by Pozz
Chased Xbox off the multiplatform cliff of giving potential customers reasons NOT to buy your product, and put all their eggs in one basket by going for AAA cinematic games that costs fortune.
Too many troony / femboy and Black person players
It's goyslop
No fricking games

The switch has games
and the PC has all of them but better
>the switch has ports
Fixed it for you
There are like 3 times more exclusives on the switch than ports
lmfao, the last like 4 major releases have been ports bro
the switch has less games than the ps5.
>b-b-b-but exclusives

Every game that is playable on PC is a PC game
>half life
>half-life 2 + episodes
>uh….. StarCraft I guess
wow, amazing library? I played HL2 on ps3 btw
Read my post again

Don't trigger them or they'll bring moronic logic and mental gymnast---
So I guess Metal Gear Solid 1 is a 3DS game now as well and Doom a calculator game...
Least obvious samegay

No games

TLOU games with bloated budgeg and dev time for eye candy shit
nonono you guys just wait
when the PS5 pro comes out we will have so many more games
I've never played this game, if someone would describe this scene in the greentext format I'd think it was just another one of the ironic shitposts
wasn't blessed by chad daddy

>What went wrong?
Sony can't hardware.
They didn't copy how to get good games
And that's one thing the Xbox don't got. Xbox ain't got games. It ain't got games!
Tried to appeal to a single core market with expensive cinematic AAA games. They also thought it was a good idea to become the platform known for having less content in multiplats due to censorship. From a business standpoint alone this is baffling.
Nothing. It's selling extremely well. Nintendogaf would say it was bad no matter how many exclusives it had.

Graphichomosexualry + third party driven model. But mostly third party driven model; that's how you get no games, because relied on lazy israelites instead of yourself

PC Still gets them in the end. Cope
>In the end
Lmao. PCkeks always with the cope.
Not a single good game mentioned.
never forget
