>SecuROM >predetermined spots for refineries >annoying micro for things like freezecopters >extreme rock paper scissors combat >health bar animations are difficult to read
I didn't even mind the cheesiness, but it was almost a straight downgrade from C&C3
To encourage early expansion and tone down harvester micro.
No multiplayer for the expansion? What happened there?
A lot of the units were blatantly overpowered. There was some talk about bringing a couple of them into the base game, but that never happened because of how quickly EA dropped support.
>cinemetics and real life videos are literally used as a examples of "suspension of disbelief" in books.
Watch, as like half a second before saying SPACE he moves down his lips to not burst into laughter. >One of few strategy games to make naval combat actually fun and good >Fast paced with hit n run tactics viable just as much as steamrolling or turtling >Grid system is counted as QoL improvement >Actualy working coop in a strategy game without using mods >AI that is not moronic
In time this was yeeted by starcraft 2 just like every other strategy game ever
Unbalanced as frick, impossible to play in any ladder mp
You can mod R3 to gain uprising units, and then use said units in MP, but everyone just complain on balance.
Judging by the prince's plain bronze cuirass, in that timeline's Japan modest clothing became fashionable. That's why we don't see fabulous formal clothes and a ton of gold on the royal family.
Tried to be Starcraft (every unit has more counters than things it is actually useful against, the obligatory ability/mode button on every single unit for no fricking reason). Artstyle is a mixed bag and the refinery shit is beyond moronic, but I think the first point is still the most important one. At least the campaign is good.
It insisted upon itself.
forced co-op
the graphics and the color saturation made vehicles look like inflatable toys
Co-op was a great addition, at least the AI wasn't incompetent.

spots for refineries
That pissed me off. Like why even have them?!

This basically.
In general, they messed up the mechanic design. Everything else is a matter of taste.
>fan expectations
Now tell us what went right!
>casting and music were good
>large focus on naval combat was good
>amphibious units were good
>return to grid system for building placement was good
>cinemetics and real life videos are literally used as a examples of "suspension of disbelief" in books.

Nothing, it's easily the best C&C in terms of gameplay and balance.
No multiplayer for the expansion? What happened there?
EA being EA canned development

not enough booba
too much ass
ngl I enjoyed it. They wouldn't make another like it today with all the sexed up cut scenes though.
i need to get gassed by her feet
definitely a footgay behind those promo shots
2022, I am forgotten...
Paradox has always looked to me like the modders just spammed as many ideas as possible without really caring for any sort of polishing.
literally only GFWL the game is fine otherwise
also SP only expansion was shit
It was solid, feeling of control just wasnt that great as in ra2 and economy was also worse than in ra2 which made game less aggressive
