you're right it's actually worse, white has a 2-6% advantage while the worst operator in siege has a winrate of 53%
i won't mention the dogshit crossovers or how the game became more and more woke so i'll stick to actual gameplay. extreme powercreeping obviously murdered the game for any old fans and for any current fans who force themselves to stick around.
ever since blackbeard was added, devs were slowly adding new ways to rape all balance the game had. with lesion they learned that if you added an operator with above average weapons and a really useful (if not overpowered) ability that they can get away with pretty much anything they give the community. ela's launch absolutely backfired but since then they've learned how to powercreep at a steady pace. lion had great weapons and a great ability (that somehow riled up all the morons in proplay) and finka had a global mini-roid. my eyes were opened when nobody batted an eye at release maestro and alibi, maestro having an lmg with an acog as a defender (SOMETHING THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO IMPLEMENT WITH TACHANKA BUT INSTEAD DECIDED TO BUTCHER THAT OPERATOR ENTIRELY) and alibi having the worst case of laser smg i've seen in this game. then funnily enough they ran out of ideas and started recycling operator weapons and going sci-fi with their abilities like that one space albino with the improved alibi holograms, moreso than with chimera (which was already just a halloween event). i quit on ace and the other dude who was added and lost all track of it. i wanted to reinstall the game and incidentally my cousin drops a bombshell that they made monty's fully extended shield bashable and that made me hate this game even more. i can't even imagine the nightmare balancing this game must have rn. >looking through the wiki rn for operators and their timeline, i scroll down to the comments and see they made a walking dead crossover and i see they're removing hidden passives like echo being unable to be called by dokkaebi >mfw
>extreme powercreeping obviously murdered the game for any old fans and for any current fans who force themselves to stick around.
base operators still nearly all get played in pro league
also forgot to mention other moronic balance changes like perma-nerfing jager for "being extremely used" even though he was maintaining a ~50% winrate. motherfricker that's just good operator design, you made a base operator that's appreciated by the entire playerbase
>you made a base operator that's appreciated by the entire playerbase
Making an operator that's present in 80% of games is not good design, it means you fricked up by making him mandatory >even though he was maintaining a ~50% winrate.
If a character has a 100% pickrate they'll have a 50% winrate because absolute shitters will pick him out of necessity, and lose all the same
Have you ever noticed all the characters with a really high winrate have low pickrate?
> it means you fricked up by making him mandatory
why not add more jagers then? >If a character has a 100% pickrate they'll have a 50% winrate because absolute shitters will pick him out of necessity, and lose all the same
no, it just means that the character is perfectly balanced and perfectly usable, and i highly doubt r6 has employed lol-tier EOMM to discredit any discussion of winrates. >Have you ever noticed all the characters with a really high winrate have low pickrate?
maybe because those operators are absolute shit and only those who dedicate themselves to learning them have a chance at doing well. i could play revolver monty as a gimmick and be invaluable to my team and keep myself alive/win a shootout. is that a sign that montagne is secretly overpowered or just that i became really good with him and like the concept of wearing a silly helmet, having a giant shield and whispering to myself "wicky wild wild west" every time i killed a guy?
>why not add more jagers then?
they did, didn't work >it just means that the character is perfectly balanced and perfectly usable
you're too dumb to discuss this
>maybe because those operators are absolute shit and only those who dedicate themselves to learning them have a chance at doing well.
Yeah like rook
very high skill operator
If a character has a 100% pickrate then it doesn't matter what their winrate is, they aren't perfectly balanced
Jager could have had a winrate of 40%
It just means defenders are forced to pick him AND still on average lose
game used to be a fun camp-a-corner, check cams and have a shootout thing with destructible environments
you just reinforced two rooms and kept quiet
or on attack, you droned in a little bit breached and cleared
now there is way too much gadget bloat
cameras, spikes, proximity alarms, laser gates, sonic mines, fricking kunai barriers and the list goes on
the simple gameplay mix of guns with a bit of futuristic militech turned sour because the scope of the game, as dictated by Ubisoft management and popular demand, grew way beyond a tight semi-realistic tactical shooter
there were good things in the changes brought about, but I'd rather get spawnpeeked every round than play in the current feature creep environment
>game used to be a fun camp-a-corner, check cams and have a shootout thing with destructible environments
You mean the game with 4 speed ash and blitz that could do this, right? That's the "le epic camping experience" you're talking about?
>You mean the game with 4 speed ash and blitz that could do this, right?
what is that webm supposed to convey and how does it relate to anything I said?
how does a rushing ash invalidate defender turtle gameplay, if that's what you're getting at
It means that you're turtling in a corner instead of engaging with the broken attackers you got your ass ate
but don't worry, that was back when maps had no spawn peek protection and half the defenders had acogs so people mostly did that
>It means that you're turtling in a corner instead of engaging with the broken attackers

Oh wait damn turns out defenders don't reinforce anything even in champion that's crazy
>ummm the operator that had to be nerfed 3 times and had the highest pickrate in the game? >actually real easy to deal with the game was perfectly balanced
nostalgia goggles are one hell of a drug
They rarely fixed bugs and when they did a 2-3 new ones would appear.
Everything about operators after the first season is stupid, their lore and their gadgets. Last couple of them were okay, more or less, compared to utter trash like Iana, zoomer Sens or fricking troony Osa.
Map changes made them too sterile most of the time. After seeing new Oregon I pretty much stopped playing. Returned to play for a couple of days recently and most maps suck now. And there are still moronic bugs, like when you break a wall you would rubberband around the hole when the game can't decide if the hole is big and clean enough for you to go through.
Also shooting feels like shit, but it was always like that.
1. Gadget bloat - attacking became a nightmare with how many things you have to keep an eye out for. Kapkan traps, Ela traps, Valk cams, Lesion mines, Bulletproof cams, etc.
2. Shitty maps - newer maps became a maze
3. Shitty map "reworks" - turning old maps into a maze
4. Fricked audio - since they made maps so large you can't hear anything past 5 meters anymore. That and audio pathing is probably fundamentally fricked.
5. Shitty hitreg
6. Lean spam - disgusting Ubisoft doubled down on this kind of gameplay, giving only a slight 'fix' to the problem.
7. Map rotations (on casual) - I want to play "fun" maps like House, Plane, Favela. >Muh data limits!
Since the game's matured, there is little room to experiment to be creative with the game's destruction system. Every match plays the exact same.
>1. Gadget bloat - attacking became a nightmare with how many things you have to keep an eye out for.
All identifiable and disabled by the exact same things they were disabled by in season 1 >2. Shitty maps - newer maps became a maze
As opposed to dogshit like Fav- oh he actually wants to play Favela lmao >4. Fricked audio
skill issue >5. Shitty hitreg
fixed years ago >6. Lean spam
fixed years ago, nobody does it anymore
Cheaters. I play on console and the ammount of people using cheats is just obscene. Makes the game completely unplayable. Getting killed by a guy and seeing his kill cam with him aim-leaning, something you can't do with a controller, is just fricking moronic. People 180 in the blink of an eye, recoiless guns; I can't go 3 matches without running it into one of those gays, and that's on casual. Ranked is literally a favela.
It got so bad ubi acknowledged it and said "can't do shit, sorry" for years, basically admiting defeat to pajeets with a 30$ spoofing device. Last year they tried to implement a system were, if it detected a third party device, it gave you input lag over several matches, which is such a roundabout way to do it and so easily circunvented that it makes absolutely no difference.
>Inb4 lmao console

Ah, it's been fricking ages so I don't remember that. Only thing I remember is doing multiplayer as the spy and soft-locking myself by saving the game right before dying and rage quitting then never playing campaign again

What streaming Siege for 8 years does to a motherfricker
Jackal is a homosexual champ and he is in the right to be upset. he was old lion before old lion was added.
>get pinged
>refuse to move
>WOOOOOOOOOOW BROKEN GAME DESIGN
maybe a character shouldn't have a global ping with no drawbacks, huh?
Jackal needs to be hard reworked.
Maybe stop doing 3 laps around the whole map mashing Q/E next to windows
>stop being a roamer
gosh golly, sorry for playing a good chunk of defenders. I DESERVE to be spotted globally for merely playing my character the way it was intended.
>you play roamer by ensuring your footsteps are at every entry point in the building, with zero fallback options
uuuuh ok
Both the dedicated roamers counter jackal, though?
Stop roaming with rook bro
Should just remake it in such a way
>Jackal tracks your position via your phone
>You can drop phone
>You lost the ability to check cameras, but you can use the phone to bait jackal
Added depths & balancing to the game.
He's pretty shit now
All "hero" based games always have the worst fricking balance known to man. I always avoid playing them.
Yeah that's why I don't play chess
Pathetic winrate on black
What does that have to do with the price of rice in china?
>Comparing chess to fotm hero game like League of legends or Rainbow six
>with a contested if not false claim
lol
lmao even
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-move_advantage_in_chess
> Since 1851, compiled statistics support this view; White consistently wins slightly more often than Black, usually scoring between 52 and 56 percent. White's winning percentage is about the same for tournament games between humans and games between computers;[nb 1] however, White's advantage is less significant in blitz games and games between lower-level players.
lol
>he reads the first few sentences then stops
based dishonest posters
>the statistics back it up but some GM said it's all just in your head bro so I'll listen to that guy instead
weird cope
you're right it's actually worse, white has a 2-6% advantage while the worst operator in siege has a winrate of 53%
Macie might actually kill himself over being forced to stream this game since he doesn't have the personality to carry anything else
i won't mention the dogshit crossovers or how the game became more and more woke so i'll stick to actual gameplay. extreme powercreeping obviously murdered the game for any old fans and for any current fans who force themselves to stick around.
ever since blackbeard was added, devs were slowly adding new ways to rape all balance the game had. with lesion they learned that if you added an operator with above average weapons and a really useful (if not overpowered) ability that they can get away with pretty much anything they give the community. ela's launch absolutely backfired but since then they've learned how to powercreep at a steady pace. lion had great weapons and a great ability (that somehow riled up all the morons in proplay) and finka had a global mini-roid. my eyes were opened when nobody batted an eye at release maestro and alibi, maestro having an lmg with an acog as a defender (SOMETHING THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO IMPLEMENT WITH TACHANKA BUT INSTEAD DECIDED TO BUTCHER THAT OPERATOR ENTIRELY) and alibi having the worst case of laser smg i've seen in this game. then funnily enough they ran out of ideas and started recycling operator weapons and going sci-fi with their abilities like that one space albino with the improved alibi holograms, moreso than with chimera (which was already just a halloween event). i quit on ace and the other dude who was added and lost all track of it. i wanted to reinstall the game and incidentally my cousin drops a bombshell that they made monty's fully extended shield bashable and that made me hate this game even more. i can't even imagine the nightmare balancing this game must have rn.
>looking through the wiki rn for operators and their timeline, i scroll down to the comments and see they made a walking dead crossover and i see they're removing hidden passives like echo being unable to be called by dokkaebi
>mfw
>extreme powercreeping obviously murdered the game for any old fans and for any current fans who force themselves to stick around.
base operators still nearly all get played in pro league
also forgot to mention other moronic balance changes like perma-nerfing jager for "being extremely used" even though he was maintaining a ~50% winrate. motherfricker that's just good operator design, you made a base operator that's appreciated by the entire playerbase
>you made a base operator that's appreciated by the entire playerbase
Making an operator that's present in 80% of games is not good design, it means you fricked up by making him mandatory
>even though he was maintaining a ~50% winrate.
>Have you ever noticed all the characters with a really high winrate have low pickrate?
maybe because those operators are absolute shit and only those who dedicate themselves to learning them have a chance at doing well. i could play revolver monty as a gimmick and be invaluable to my team and keep myself alive/win a shootout. is that a sign that montagne is secretly overpowered or just that i became really good with him and like the concept of wearing a silly helmet, having a giant shield and whispering to myself "wicky wild wild west" every time i killed a guy?
>why not add more jagers then?
they did, didn't work
>it just means that the character is perfectly balanced and perfectly usable
you're too dumb to discuss this
no, your head's too far up your ass and you suffer from esports poisoning and devteam view tainting. go cry about standing still
>maybe because those operators are absolute shit and only those who dedicate themselves to learning them have a chance at doing well.
Yeah like rook
very high skill operator
If a character has a 100% pickrate then it doesn't matter what their winrate is, they aren't perfectly balanced
Jager could have had a winrate of 40%
It just means defenders are forced to pick him AND still on average lose
>having a giant shield and whispering to myself "wicky wild wild west" every time i killed a guy?
holy based
No good single player tactical team work
dunno, I don't play shooters anymore.
I can't believe they added an unironic troony operator.
this thread made me go back to playing siege and i got an ace on my first round
Probably because the game forgot/reset your MMR and you got a bunch of shitters
game used to be a fun camp-a-corner, check cams and have a shootout thing with destructible environments
you just reinforced two rooms and kept quiet
or on attack, you droned in a little bit breached and cleared
now there is way too much gadget bloat
cameras, spikes, proximity alarms, laser gates, sonic mines, fricking kunai barriers and the list goes on
the simple gameplay mix of guns with a bit of futuristic militech turned sour because the scope of the game, as dictated by Ubisoft management and popular demand, grew way beyond a tight semi-realistic tactical shooter
there were good things in the changes brought about, but I'd rather get spawnpeeked every round than play in the current feature creep environment
>game used to be a fun camp-a-corner, check cams and have a shootout thing with destructible environments
You mean the game with 4 speed ash and blitz that could do this, right? That's the "le epic camping experience" you're talking about?
>You mean the game with 4 speed ash and blitz that could do this, right?
what is that webm supposed to convey and how does it relate to anything I said?
how does a rushing ash invalidate defender turtle gameplay, if that's what you're getting at
It means that you're turtling in a corner instead of engaging with the broken attackers you got your ass ate
but don't worry, that was back when maps had no spawn peek protection and half the defenders had acogs so people mostly did that
>It means that you're turtling in a corner instead of engaging with the broken attackers
do you not want to play "Siege" or am I misunderstanding something?
I'm telling you how siege was played, which heavily contrasts your moronic fanfiction
you're quite literally describing my original post
which part of "camping a corner, checking cams and having a shootout" is fanfiction, dumbass?
The camping a corner and checking cams bit
good job on working out you have shootouts in an FPS though
>The camping a corner and checking cams bit
delusional
even if you take into account the portion of players who didn't engage with the tactical element, you still can't deny the essence of siege
>yeah nobody actually plays the game like that but its about the IDEA of siege that nobody engaged with
>nobody actually plays the game like that
like I said, delusional
this is the case now (for people who know how to play the game) and not in the early stages of release
Yeah no shit the game is slower now that ubisoft nerfed everything moronic with early sie-
Oh wait damn turns out defenders don't reinforce anything even in champion that's crazy
if you were prepared a rushing ash was the easiest pickup kill in the world
>ummm the operator that had to be nerfed 3 times and had the highest pickrate in the game?
>actually real easy to deal with the game was perfectly balanced
nostalgia goggles are one hell of a drug
you're pretending old Kapkan didn't dick on every single Ash pro wannabe every single time.
>most new operators' gadgets are recycled old ones
i don't want another thermite or X except it's on defense/attack op
Top left looks like he's charging a kikoho.
I hate Esportsgays so much
They rarely fixed bugs and when they did a 2-3 new ones would appear.
>Kapkan traps, Ela traps, Valk cams, Lesion mines, Bulletproof cams, etc.
how the frick are gadgets real?
just lock in IQ, lmao.
>1. Gadget bloat - attacking became a nightmare with how many things you have to keep an eye out for.
All identifiable and disabled by the exact same things they were disabled by in season 1
>2. Shitty maps - newer maps became a maze
As opposed to dogshit like Fav- oh he actually wants to play Favela lmao
>4. Fricked audio
skill issue
>5. Shitty hitreg
fixed years ago
>6. Lean spam
fixed years ago, nobody does it anymore
How is broken audio a skill issue, you moronic homosexual? That's literally a game mechanic issue
You know what, you're right
The audio sucks
And I last played years ago, because guess what?
They were long standing issues that took too long to be fixed/addressed.
>Favela
Can I not enjoy a fun chaotic map to contrived pieces of shit like Tower or reworked Hereford?
ubisoft
PC has hacking, which is even goddamn worse. Try another gotcha.
no one cares you stupid frick, you're playing siege on a console kek
it caters to adhd zoomers, the only viable strat is to bombrush objectives without at least knowledge of what op the enemy picked
just click heads, shotguns turn into nerf guns at >3m
nobody use drones, nobody communicates, gadgets/nades are barely used
its not just players fault the game incentivize it
its afraid of its own identity
tactical gameplay my ass
>stun grenade nearby
>*EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
hurts my ears.
Operation Health
Frick those Sieges of yours, real boys play Vegas 2
my homie
vegas 2 is the breasts
Broken maps
Broken operators
Catering to e-sports and ignoring 99% of the player base.
Going woke with trannies and homosexuals
Going all out sci-fi
Switching from tactical shooter to a CoD mode arcade shooter
Battle Eye being a piece of shit anticheat
Refusing to remove team killing
Poor decision making.
Most toxic fan base in gaming
The list goes on
R6 siege had the best idea ever in any modern FPS by getting rid of snipers. frick snipergays
>getting rid of snipers
>game has glaz and kalie
Wut?
troony operator
