Anthony Burch wrote the series into a corner. Made a bunch of moronic lore. Has his sister's character be the most influential. Killed off characters and made the series more PC despite the fact its about psychos and murderers.

i fricking wish they would just implement a setting you could check where everything in the game would scale with your level to fix this moronic issue. the workarounds for when to do playthroughs 2, 2.5, 3, DLC are so convoluted that it makes no sense for the average user. multiple re-releases and they still haven't solved this yet
i still enjoy the series and the reddit writing is wholesome, in a weird way. but i still have major gripes with how it handles itself when there are other video-games vying for my time when i dont want to do another replay just to challenge myself for once with a character i've never played as before

I've seen straight to DVD horror movies with better writing than BL3. Better humor too, even if it's unintentional. They somehow made Anthony Burch look good in comparison and Butt Stallion look like comedic gold. I genuinely feel bad for the programmers who had to attach their work to this shit. Though I do question why they keep adding vehicles and large empty chunks of map to support them, or if anyone actually does enjoy using them.

when i played it in 2020 it was the same as every other bl game. first pt caps around level 30-ish, second around 50-ish, and so on. i dont think bl3 had a pt3 (yet)
Gameplay is mich better than 2, audio and music is godlike, it's quite nice visually, but the story and writing is literally the worst I've ever seen. This game is genuinely unplayable without setting dialogue volume to 0 and removing the cutscenes.

Not only was it terrible, but it has done massive damage to the franchise, There probably won't be a 4, it was so bad they had to take an Epic deal.
Taking an Epic deal with an AAA game is a sign you alienated the core fanbase so hard they knew they would lose money.
