what went wrong
It's still popular in Japan
The format was fucking broken because no one created a proper ban list
Did all cards provide 1 mana?
Apparently some can be but they are all Japanese and very few can do it
Wizards of the Coast killed it because it was better than their cashcow, Magic the Gathering
They tried to fix some balancing issues by replacing the most used cards when bringing the game to the west which caused the game in the west to have a very different meta than the one in Japan but all new cards were created to fit into the japanese meta so after a few expansions the english version was even more of a mess than the japanese one.
The phone game is faring just fine, next expansion already coming.
I just want an EN version
what went wrong?
way too much
That's Chaor from Chaotic not Duel Masters.
I never played the card game, but I did end up watching the show and it was fun.
I never scene a show decide to go from flash to traditional animation for the second season; shows usually get worse quality wise as they go on not better
Nothing, Duel Masters is unkillable and is still a thing
Remember the PS2 game that had a real time mode where turns were simultaneous?
Which is the best game that recreates the TCG?
You could also wait for the Disney TCG next year called Lorcana
Lorcana is made by the guy who was in charge of Kaijudo the retarded Duel Master reboot we had over here and if you look at the cards they showed off it's just Duel Masters again
Its long replaced MTG in japan. Also, out of all card games, Duel Masters definitely had my favorite artwork.
What went wrong?
The ace monster of the main character looks fucking retarded, the show never mentions a card game, the MC is a Mary Sue and is boring, on the Hub, and the cards renamed shit for no reason just to be different
I meant the card game
I liked the show
embarrassing. I bet you played bakugan too
