The entire point of IV was that Law and Chaos fundamentally didn't understand humanity and tried to appeal to them despite barely knowing how. It's why the Archangels basically stapled faces to Old Testament angels.
They hired a bunch of guest artists to design the bosses in SMTIV. They then tasked Doi with cleaning those designs up for SMTIVA. The majority of those redesigns will not stay, as scene in SMTV. The only one I'm hoping they do keep is his redesign of Medusa. It's a shame SMTV had to be rushed out and relied on reusing (and enhancing) many of the P5 persona models for its demon roster.
It's funny you say that because plenty of people complain about mecha Lucifer but honestly it's grown on me. It's his attack animations as the dark matter version that really sell it.
This Lúcifer design and his battle, when compared to metatron, perfectly exemplify everything wrong with modern smt art. The loss of attention to detail on subtle things like the impact of visual perspective are tragic.

>SMTV
>Rushed
was it not announced for switch before the switch even released?
Overall my favorite Lucy, love how he went back to being a mecha angel when he got redpilled by YHVH's knowledge. I hope this design shows up again

The duality of smt gays...
>Hmm it would seem my alignment differs from yours

smt iv did not come out in 2016
I don't like Lucy's design in SMT IV overall, but I do like his sweet matador inspired costume.
Kaneko quit.
Right at least had some snazzy dialogue
"Come, ye lifeless puppets of God! I shall snuff out your ostentatious lights"
Left voiced by Paul Eiding, everything he says is automatic kino
SMT 4 was 2013
