    Batmobile was kino
for me it was the long drawn out walking sections where you slowly, really fricking slowly get drip fed parts of the plot
what should take 20 seconds can take upwards of 5 minutes

You can skip those parts of dialogue you know.

The parts where the gameplay is drastically slowed down anon
I don't want to fricking play 'batman, the walking simulator'

The one where you talk to people on your wristwatch and can only walk slowly?
Idk if it's the same with PC but on Ps4 I recently found out you can skip them with circle. Otherwise yes those are fricking trash

Naw anon shit like when the gas is about to take over gotham or whatever and you move the canisters or when you play as gordon or when you are dealing with the shit at the end

It felt like a walking simulator.

That is what fricking went wrong, though. The batmobile isn't bad, but making fricking batmobile escort missions sure is.

At some point you gotta admit that it's pretty fricking ridiculous to claim Batman doesn't kill considering all the shit he does in these games

You can literally run people over in your "Bat-Tank" in this game at full, jet-boosted speed. The game adds a sort of "electricity" effect to the bodies when you hit them and tries to justify it as if they are somehow being non-lethally "tased" when you hit them. But that's not how cars work. If a truck hits you at 80mph, do you think it would be more or less lethal if the car also shocked the frick out of you as it ran you over? If anything that's just going to make it worse.

Didn’t play City because I loved the design of Aslyum and pretty much guessed that level of design wouldn’t translate to open world. Have no clue how that turned out but I player Knight because it was free and it was completely unmemorable. Felt like most open world games where you’re just checkpoint chasing and going through the motions at each mission

The Riddler side quests were gay… especially the batmobile ones. Should have been a little more detective related stuff. Also the Arkham Knight reveal was a downer.

Shit story and writing, including but not limited to:
    >Jason Todd is the Arkham Knight
    >Scarecrow's plan is pointless once Batman stops him at Ace Chemicals
    >The entire rogues gallery is wasted in side missions
    >Jokerism is a brain virus lol

Yeah, Jason Todd being Arkham Knight after the devs explicitly said he wasn't, that was some real bullshit.

It's almost comical how much Rocksteady clearly regretted killing Joker in City
      >Frick. What do we do now? We're making a Batman game and we already killed Joker... I know! Let's make it a prequel!
      >They already did that
      >Frick! Alright... well, we'll have it be some kind of virus. Then we can have multiple jokers! Oh, and Batman can get infected too so that Joker can literally follow you around for the entire game! That'll be great!

I don't hate Joker as a fear gas-induced hallucination that keeps popping up, but the brain virus plotline is just pathetic.

        >Joker can literally follow you around for the entire game! That'll be great!
It literally was great. His color commentary on everything was very entertaining. Him walking around areas and people when nobody can see him was great too. I purposely did as much of the side content as possible with him around because he always had good stuff to say, like when you put away the villains in the police department. The plot device might be goofy but the end result was well worth it.

          Interesting
Is this for everything and does it end when you beat the game?
Just wondering if it's best to do 100% before losing him

            Anonymous

There's a point in the story where bruce finally puts him away and he's gone for the rest of the game. I don't remember when it takes place since I haven't played since launch but it's near the end. A lot of side quests are gated behind story progress so some of it might not be possible to have him around for everything.

The car was fine for driving around in and using as a weapon, it was turning into a tank and having little WoT fights constantly that was annoying, as well as having to fricking climb walls with it.

The huge world having not a lot in it to justify driving or flying for extended periods got old quick, plus by far the most annoying riddler trophies and other ubisoft tier "collectible" challenges to date, plus as usual being very easy and only getting as much out of fighting as you feel like putting in.

Everything else was great, I didn't think they could pull off the whole Joker tulpa thing but it ended up very enjoyable. Knight was hilariously transparent for anyone who's seen/read Red Hood from the moment he calls him "old man" but it's still a good story so I don't mind.

Launch was a fricking disaster though, how on earth that got greenlit was beyond me.

This, I wish you could have been able to just use any Batmobile without having to fight tanks. But then again it would make sense the Arkham Knight would want to catch you in your car.
But the traversal puzzles are the worst part by far.

I agree that Scarecrow can't carry the game alone, it would have been way better to include all the villains - but maybe it would have been to similar to City for the devs.

Also I'd still rather fly around with the grapnel boost than the Batmobile, lmao

        >find out Deathstroke is in the game
        >excited to fight him again, hoping it's as good of a fight as the one in Origins
        >it's literally a tank battle
        >"O-oh, okay... well, this is probably just the first phase. Once you blow up his tank, then he'll get out and fight you man to man"
        >nope. Cutscene plays of Batman taking Deathstroke out of his tank and immediately arresting him
One of the game's biggest sins imo. Frick the tank

Jfc that was one of the most disappointing parts in the game....like how the frick did the devs think it would be a good idea to get the legendary arkham origins villain on board and then continue to not have you fight him? You'd have to be super moronic to go through with that

    A few things.
    >Requiring you to get every single Riddler trophy for a satisfying ending was stupid. The regular ending was garbage.
    >Utterly horrible PC port tainted first impressions of the game.
    >Arkham City being so good made it hard to live up to expectations even if it was great.

    Next to no traditional bosses
That stealth segment where you have Robin to help was really cool but it only happened once
