>godzilla
Honestly this is one franchise I wouldn't mind more pandering too.
Not to mention there was never a ton of artistic merit to anything but the original movie, it turned into schlocky rubber-suit-man frog splashing onto cardboard buildings.
There are far too few godzilla games. If anyone wants to give me infinite money and a dev team I've had an idea for a Kaiju simulator that I think would be dope as frick.
Exactly. I mean, what in the hell is their problem? Looking at Starfield one might assume that they don't even want to make RPGs anymore. The same type of game that made them popular in the first place.
>Looking at Starfield one might assume that they don't even want to make RPGs anymore. >DAE think bethesda doesn't do le deep rpgs anymore???
What exactly makes you think that, besides reading the same worthless opinions over and over again, you parroting homosexual?
>oblivion
If Skyoblivion gets axed, I will be laffin
game itself is dogshit without mods to balance out the progression >Fallout 3
meh, I will keep playing TTW every few years or until Roy offs himself
If you are passionate about making games you don't work for an AAA company. It's as simple as that.
Anybody working for the Bethesdas and Blizzards out there just want to collect their paycheck and go home. If they can just make remakes that end up being worse than the original then they couldn't be more happy, it's a lot less work to do when you already have a base to work from and you still get the same money. They make the same amount of money if the game flops or not, anyway. They don't care.
High fidelity game development is too expensive and AAA market is not growing anymore even though development with better tech keeps being more expensive.
New games are in development for like 7-10 years and meanwhile churning out rereleases is a cheap way of keep up the revenue.
I used to be against them too but I already pre-ordered Tomb Raider I•II•III remastered. Frick it, gaming is so fricking shit these days, might as well keep playing the good old games.
literally never
other anon got it right, why take a chance on a game underselling when you can bank on the brand name and nostalgia bucks, especially when budgets have been so disgustingly inflated that not breaking sales records means it's a flop
The part of these two games that really needs remaster is the voice acting, which is often atrocious, but I'm certain they won't make any changes to it.
plenty of blame to go around >devs
maybe if they made better games people wouldn’t keep buying old games >consoomers
unquestioningly buying the latest cynical buggy re-release cashgrab yet again >consoles
PC users don’t need re-release as older games still avaiable and compatible, upgradeable with mods if necessary, whereas a zoomie PS5 owner never had a PS3 and so missed fallout 3 the first time for example
They're creatively bankrupt commie activists masquerading as game devs. They don't know shit about making a fun game and only use the medium to spread their lefty nonsense.
>What went wrong with western game devs?
got taken over by marketers/producers/publishers that are only concerned with profit.
the devs themselves that were good are all gone for the most part and are replaced by people who see it as a job (no passion for fun video games)/can only do one part of the game making process.
The Japanese make better games because their main priorities are still entertainment rather than political activism but they seem to be suffering from the same talent issue. Everyone is just rehashing the same concepts that were already pretty much established 20 years ago.
you keep buying remakes
Bethesda has always been shit.
>remaster
heres some shitty upscaled textures and shiny water lol, now pay me $60 for a 17 year old game
this, it's going to be literally nothing. maybe some creation club dog shit slapped on top at most
Everyone is using nostalgia to get a buck out of you. No new ips, everything is an old idea. ghostbusters, robocop, mortal kombat, godzilla, sonic.

Bethesda wants money and they hate their fans
bethesda wants money, hate their fans and let their fans fix their crab games.

Starfield is more of an RPG than Fallout 3 and Oblivion and Skyrim
they hired too many women. incompetence.
the people who bought oblivion and fo3 in the first place

Well, if the credits for Starfield revealed anything, they found just the studio to do it.
Imagine how much the horse armor will cost this time.
Saars you redeem yes?
>no Morrowind remaster
they would have to actually invest a lot of work into that

When will the remasters end?
Never

When pigs stop eating slop
It won't. Look at how long Hollywood has been remaking and churning out the same garbage.
They won't. Publisher homosexuals don't want to risk a game that somehow cost 200M underselling, so they'll just rerelease a game they know will sell.

I never had a PS3 so I'm enjoying playing 7th gen scraps that can barely run on the Switch.
who tf is going to buy it when u can just google fallout 3 texture mod
